My buddy and I were having a hard time finding a course to play in Wilmington, until I stumbled onto this one. It's a bit out of the way.
Pros: the sport of Golf grew like crazy during the pandemic, so it's near impossible to find a course that isn't packed to the brim. This course wasn't packed at all. We saw maybe 3 small groups scattered throughout the course. The rates are super cheap too, and cheaper in the afternoon. $21 for 9 holes with a cart, $25 for 18 holes with cart. The holes were pretty wide in lots of parts so even if you hit it off to the side, you still have a good chance of finding your ball. The grass isn't in bad shape and the greens give you a mix of fast and slow.
Cons: there aren't any definite fairways. The golf carts are kinda slow.
Overall, I think this is a great course for having a good time with your buddies, or if you're still trying to learn the game. It gives you a nice mix of easy and tough holes, a few small water hazards scattered, but I don't recall seeing any sand bunkers. I liked this course a lot and will come back again. read more
