We hired two movers, Shawn and Mark, specifically to load our U-Haul because we needed help with the heavy lifting and wanted the truck loaded efficiently. Unfortunately, they arrived late and seemed physically unprepared for the job. They became winded easily, needed to stop and rest repeatedly, complained about the heat, and appeared eager to finish as quickly as possible. They were there for barely over an hour. Instead of professionally loading and maximizing the space in the truck, they primarily placed items toward the end of the truck and left us to deal with much of the actual packing and heavy lifting ourselves. That completely defeated the purpose of hiring movers in the first place. My husband and I are both almost 60, and it was incredibly frustrating--and honestly infuriating--to pay for a moving service only to end up doing so much of the work ourselves. If you are paying movers because you need reliable, capable help with loading a truck, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I was shocked to see ANY complaints about Roberts Quality Moving since they were not only ON TIME, but they were incredible with unloading and placing items in our container. He even recommended another moving company here in Kingman because we had another trip to get stuff and needed to unload and he was not available. Just a little background, we just moved here from S. Calif. We had planned on two trips total with a 26 ft rental truck we had rented for a week but after the incompetence of the "professional movers" we hired on both ends (since we would have items loaded in Calif, then unloaded in AZ) we ended up having the truck for two weeks and then having to rent it again for another week. All these companies over promised and under delivered. They were late, didn't have the number of workers we said we needed, one company said they lift heavy items and then the day of our unload said they couldn't unload our items since they were too heavy for two of them when we had asked for 4 people. We had another company on the Calif end that ended up breaking items in transport since they said they had commercial drivers and would lift some of the pressure off of us. This is just some of the horror stories and I could go on. It was a miracle that we found Roberts moving company. Robert and his crew showed up on time, had strong men who knew how to move things and unload and they even rearranged things in our container including taking off the backs of our couches to make more room that the other movers didn't even attempt. His guys pulled things out and rearranged so we could get more things in our container and we didn't even ask them. They handled all our items with care and experience. They knew not to put heavy boxes on small boxes or fragile items, they knew not to just stuff things in just to get the job done. They took their time, yet finished over an hour earlier then we had booked them for. They worked hard and didn't complain like the other companies we had hired and it was well over 105 in the baking sun without any air conditioning or shade. They were troopers and extremely professional. Unlike the other companies that just wanted to get in and out and be paid for time not even worked. I plan on hiring Robert again to help us move items from the container into our house, garage and quanset. I wouldn't even think about hiring another company and hoping they can do 1/2 the job as Robert and his crew did when I already know they can move heavy things, show up on time and get the job done correctly and how we want and need to have it done. I would be very happy to answer anyones questions regarding using this company since they deserve 5 stars and reviews from over a year ago shouldn't be taken in consideration especially if they ended up never using them in the end! Just a side note: We hired Robert last minute when he 1st came out, unfortunately Robert was booked the rest of the weeks that we really could have used him or we would have hired him again and again.
