I am from California and came here with a good friend that lives here. We were very excited by the…read morefact that it was a Michelin Star Restaurant but that did not have any impact on the quality of the service we received. First of all we went on a Monday evening so the place was not busy. We sat down and ordered a bottle of water and the gave us sparkling water. Then we received bread and asked for butter and we had to remind them about fifteen minutes later to bring it. We placed an order for our food and told them at that time to make the apple pie which takes 25 minutes. For our meal we ordered a steak with a salad and a artichoke. The salad looked like the just tossed a mix in a bowl w dressing. The steak came out without the side artichoke and that did not arrive until I was almost finished w my steak. My friend ordered a salmon meal and they brought out the appetizer version. After dinner I ordered cappuccino and they brought out a chalk cup of regular coffee. After we were about finished eating I asked our waiter if the apple pie had been ordered. He told us yes but did not bring it out for roughly 25 minutes which is the time it would have taken them to make one had they forgot to place the order. The service was no where what to expect from a Michelin Star establishment. They truly do need to work on customer service

The menu descriptions are in German, but the dish names were all English, I didn't ask if they had an English menu because I didn't need it. I opted for a beer, water, and pick-two BBQ... ribs, wings, and fries all sounded good and that one hits them all. The waitress asked if I wanted mayonnaise which gave me the opportunity to decline and ask for ketchup. I'm not exactly sure which stout I got, but it was smooth. The food came out shortly and was a generous portion and they put the whole bottle of ketchup on the table for my fries! Crispy chicken wings were the whole wing like you'd get in fried chicken but simply fried (no breading, no sauce, no seasoning- crispy skin). Ribs were tender enough, crispy on the outside with some sauce squeezed ontop. The fries are thick cut and were the star of the dish. Overall there's nothing wrong with the food or service and it satisfies the craving for this type of food. But, it's no replacement for barbecue from the bayou in the US.

The list of beers included stouts from New Orleans, which my friend was brave enough to try. Unless you are an experienced beer drinker, I would recommend sticking to the local brews like Herforder Pils because the stout has a very unique and probably acquired taste. The New Orleans decor inside the bar/restaurant is pretty cool too.
