I shop here because they have good quality clothes, amazing sales and deals, and their clearance sales make my heart flutter with excitement. When I shop here, I have to mentally prepare myself for the chaos and extremely long lines. I'm not the only one whose heart flutters at the sight of a sale. Customers act like it's a free for all and just throw the recently folded clothes around to find their size. It's anarchy inside of this Old Navy. This type of chaos clearly leads to high turnover because they cashiers are always new and have no idea what they are doing. They clearly lack training and are just thrown to the lions (customers) with minimal training. I would feel kind of bad for them, but the last two cashiers I interacted with were rude and lacked the humility you need when you work in customer service. They were rude and then had the audacity to beg me to sign up for a credit card. Um, how about you're nice to me first and then ask me to apply for a credit card. Regardless, I still shop here because you can't really beat the sales when they have them. Sometimes, the adrenaline rush I get from running around the Old Navy mosh pit and getting "accidentally" elbowed by a Mom and her three kids is the kind of excitement I need before I go for a jog. read more

Everyone drives in Amarillo, so stores are surrounded by massive parking lots, and you have to drive a lot to run errands in this town. Thankfully, old navy is pretty centrally located. Despite being HUGE, the staff is helpful, the store clean, and shopping is pretty typical of any old navy. in the Amarillo store, the clothing sale racks didn't seem as picked clean or as hit by a tornado as other stores. I credit this to how professional and efficient the workers were in getting clothes back out on the floor, keeping them folded and clean, and making sure everything as kept in stock. read more

WOW...this was the WORST old navy i have EVER been in...i have worked retail for 7 years and this place was the worst customer service ive ever gotten...i ordered an item on oldnavy.com and ended up not liking it...i live 2 hours away from the nearest old navy (which happens to be this one) so we made a trip to exchange my item...they didnt know how to do the online return and made up some crap that in their system "showed i had already returned the item"...and threw my receipt in my face and said "call 1800 old navy"...i asked if i could just exchange the item and he said Nope...it took them 30 minutes just to tell me this and 4 different people trying to figure out how to do my return...i drove all that way and didnt even get to return it...i called 1800 old navy and they told me "it never says in our system that it your item has been returned" so pretty much the people didnt know how to do the return and made some crap up...i was very pissed... read more

I tried my hardest to be gracious as it was busy. We walk in to chaos. Things were all over the place. The place had an odor. It was like I walked into the men's locker room after a football team had left after playing a double overtime game in the heat. It was hot in the store so I am sure it added to the stink. We couldn't tell what was men's or women's, or boys or girls because dresses were place by men's clothing and all kinds of things misplaced. We tried to get help but the workers were absent I guess. I saw one customer place his kid on his shoulder to get an item from the top rack down. A worker was finally spotted to offer assistance. We were looking for jeans and then an outfit for my son. We tried getting to the dressing room and it was full of clothes and looked like a bomb blew up in it. A 30 minute shopping trip was at 45 minutes at this point. So we put the jeans down and began to search for my boys outfit. We found a vest on a rack that clearly stated it was 30% off. Clearly everything on that rack was marked clearance. We found a shirt and vest that would look great. I sent my wife and kids to the car so I could check out. The line was long but not horrible. 5 cashiers so I was thinking maybe 5-10 minutes. Well 30 minutes later I get called up. Rings both items up and he totals it and it is more than the price marked with no clearance. I ask about the clearance and he said nope. He wouldn't consider. I suppose since the store was in miserable shape he probably had no clue. He clearly was a person in authority as the other cashiers were asking him questions they had. This was a sad shopping experience and I will avoid the place. I see why people stay home and shop online. I will definitely not be shopping at this old navy store again. read more
