I've had/have a checking account, savings account, mortgage, line of credit, credit card and an IRA through Monona State Bank. They are so versatile and cater to my every need. They make every process seamless (especially with on line banking) and most importantly, they keep me up-to-date every step of the way. My personal banker, Lisa, is always there when I need her and goes out of her way to make sure she has picked up any balls that I have dropped (and I drop my fair share!). She's also the first to say hi when I walk in the door, and makes me feel welcomed! It's nice to have the 'small town' feel, where everyone knows you when you walk in and welcomes you to the family. My mortgage lender, Micha, is the best! She helps me focus on the bigger picture and keeps my best interests in mind when researching payment options, re-financing, escrow, etc. She's extremely knowledgeable and is ahead of the game; I trust every piece of advice she gives. Micha came with me to the closing when I bought my first home - I was nervous and scared out of my mind and didn't know what any of the papers meant but Micha stepped me through them one by one and explained everything until I understood and felt comfortable with everything. I met with a business loan officer, Ted, a few times to talk about business opportunities and what the markets are like - Ted was very professional and knowledgeable. Every time we have gone in, which is at least 4 times now, the workers have been super friendly and conversational and make me feel cared for. It's always simple transactions, I've not ever opened an account or sat down with a banker here, but for what I'm usually doing at the bank, it's great! It's open and airy with lots of natural light, there are always suckers on the counter as well as doggie treats if you happen to have the pup with you. And they always ask if we want small bills for the farmers market, which is a plus. 5 stars, Capitol Chase Bank rocks!

TL;DR: I was pressed for time, had quite a few hoops to jump through by the end of the day. I came into their bank, they jumped in IMMEDIATELY, and we furiously and frantically worked to get things ironed out within a few hours. Long Story: Roxanne and Ken are FANTASTIC. (Edit: I am also working with David on a home loan package and have been nothing but pleased so far!) I realized I was out of checks from my "at-the-time current" bank (which has no locations in Wisconsin or any of the neighboring states), but needed an earnest earnest money check within 7 hours. Furthermore, my old debit card had been deactivated during two days before due to possible fraud (Everything was fine though, in case you may care to know. I didn't get robbed haha.) Roxanne helped me work with my other bank to get my debit account reactivated, take a cash advance from my old bank's card, head over to Ken, and open a BMO account with the money. Finally, managed to get a cashier's check! I was impressed by the team's speed and precision as we moved through this process - More importantly, I have rarely been shown the amount enthusiasm and "comradery" which R and K displayed. We received an email from the branch describing the paperwork required for our appt which included tax info, pay stubs, etc.. We arrived at the appointed time with our paperwork and within 2 minutes were told that they do not finance multi-family new construction projects. My first and only thought was "don't tell us how you do business .. tell your employees answering the 800 line how to do their jobs".
