Stopped in for lunch. Limited sandwich menu, but very fresh ingredients! Crunchy wrap toasted was so flavorful and turkey club on rye was very delicious according to my husband. They serve pizzas all day Friday and Saturday. Frozen pizzas were available to carry out. Definitely worth visiting this family restaurant. read more

Fresh ingredients. Great veggies on the sandwich. Friendly staff. I ordered online and skipped the line. Highly recommend.

A very nice sandwich shop. Freshly made sandwiches made to order. Clean. A great variety as well. You can purchase chips, jelly , cookies etc. The service was slow but kind. I recommend this place read more

What a gem. Wonderful house made sandwiches that our whole group enjoyed. Saw a pizza come out of the oven and really wished we'd gotten one, too. Came back this morning for their breakfast burritos - sensational way to start the day. Also picked up a pack of monster cookies for the road - perfectly baked and flavor-filled. Really a great place for wonderful, simple food at outstanding prices. read more

Cute little gem of a deli/counter service restaurant! Looks pretty new. Cute decor. My friend and I came in for dinner on a Friday night looking for pizza. She is gluten free and was happy to find a gluten free crust option is available. The pizzas both gluten free and regular dough were both very tasty. The place filled up fast. Popular place in Valentine! Definitely worth the stop.... Oh! I also picked up some monster cookies.... Ridiculously good!! read more

Awesome food, great little small town atmosphere. Service was great, order on one end and pay on the other when it's ready. Would definitely go here again. Price was super reasonable, cheaper than going to Subway. Able to accommodate a large group (22 of us) pretty quickly as well. read more

This place is the bomb!!! Ate there twice in two days. Day 1 I had the Greek Wrap sandwich. Very good! I also had sweet potato chips by Joe's, I believe. They were so good I bought a large bag for later in the dry goods section. Day 2 we stopped in for a pecan cinnamon roll. The only thing I would suggest is opening earlier for the breakfast pastries and breads area. We returned later on Day 2 for a brick oven pizza. We had the special which was cheeseburger pizza. It was superb! Never had pizza with pickles and string potatoes. And I had a sugar cookie to top it off. I also left with several dip mixes, candy, and other pantry items. I will surely return here! read more

Came into town for a nice meal while camped at McKelvie National Forest during November rifle season. Ended up finding this place searching online. Glad we did. Very nice deli with a lot of character. Very clean, very friendly. Great choices for deli meals with quality ingredients. House sandwiches are great. Good prices. Will absolutely be back again. Highly recommend it. read more

Quick stop here for our first time visit to Valentine and it did not disappoint! Brought 4 families and everyone raved about their pizzas and sandwiches. The cookies from the bakery were also very delicious. Will be back! read more

Our family stopped on a road trip from Eastern SD to Utah and found this very cool place on Yelp. Staff is very friendly and the pizzas were excellent! We also stocked up on cookies - the monster cookies are the best! We drove past it the first time because the sign was a little hard to see. It is worth the time to stop and enjoy the decor and do a little shopping. read more

This place is incredible. They serve sandwiches and pizza, all freshly prepared. They were very accommodating of special requests (kids' sized pizza, sandwich that wasn't on the menu), and the food was incredible. The jalapeno popper pizza was one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. It was also fun to browse the bulk foods while we were waiting and get some snacks and treats for the road. We will definitely be back. read more

Outstanding. I was visiting Valentine for a week around the total solar eclipse. The Old Mill Deli and bulk foods was recommended. It was great. We had sandwiches made and took them to the wildlife refuge. Sandwiches were fantastic sitting by Hackberry Lake. The hot beef sticks were excellent, so was the chai tea mix. The bulk chocolates looked fantastic - but in a moment of strength I avoided buying them. It was sorely tempting though. Great place for sandwiches, jams, jellies, chocolates, beef sticks and other bulk food. I will visit again when I go back to Valentine. A great place only two blocks off Main Street. read more

The sandwiches we had were amazing!!! We had the Italian, Old Mill original, and the special Pacific Coast. My husband had the potato salad, too. Everything was so tasty! Great staff, too. We purposely waited for a late lunch just to try this highly anticipated bakery/cafe. So glad we did! The place looks fairly new and clean. Even @ 2pm they still had several tables full. We both had the special ham/Brie/apple on ciabatta. Delicious and filling!! Grabbed a couple cookies, which were good, but not as special as that Sammy! All their breads looked great and we hope to try those cinnamon rolls in the future. Regarding COVID practices, they seemed fairly good but not all staff or patrons wore masks (about 50/50). Restrooms were very clean and single use. Nice staff, too. read more
