Soulless fvcks.. You don't have "clients", you have "victims" and "prey". BBB Complaint Details: Vehicle purchase with (non-optional) two year/24000 mile warranty on 12/15/23. I am well within the warranty period and mileage (11000 miles driven since purchase). Within a week of purchasing the vehicle, the upper radiator hose blew off the radiator. I had a list of issues with the car and was told by the manager of OKCarz in Tampa to not worry that the warranty would cover ALL of it. They (OKCarz) authorized replacement of the waterpump. However, the waterpump that was installed was a used, Chinese knockoff that was graded C (barely functional) by whichever junkyard it came from. This waterpump lasted six months before I had to replace it again out of my own pocket. I did this to ensure that quality, new OEM parts were being used. Now, the radiator has gone bad. Pep Boys in Daytona found a leak in the radiator in the exact place where the upper radiator hose connects and the issue began. The warranty company, which is owned by the same entity as the dealership, has denied the claim by saying that the radiator is NOT part of the engine. Yet, the water pump that damaged it is. Bu the time I reach the end of the loan, this vehicle will have cost me $31000. I asked for the number of their legal department and was told "This conversation is over" and hung up on without another word. The manager at Pep Boys can attest to this as it was said during a call to get the work authorized. All I want is for them to have the smallest hint of integrity and fix the issue. Otherwise, this will become a legal matter. I don't care that this is Florida, which has very little in the way of consumer protections. I was rushed through the paperwork to purchase the vehicle with ample time to read through it, no doubt a sales tactic as I witnessed it happening every time I had to go back. I went to this place in Lakeland, FL to shop for a car when i was desperate for a vehicle and had to get something. Like most customers that go to a place like this. They advertise the warranty as a strong selling point but let me say it is a bunch of lies. Yes, they state its 2 yrs, 24 month warranty but unless the motor is falling out the front of the hood they will not cover anything. in just around 3 yrs I have spent close to $3,000 on repairs for all sorts of problems from computer to mechanical issues while still making normal monthly payments. They also claim that they have this great program to trade your car in with Toyota in town or the Jeep dealership after a yr of on time payments and a credit report of at least 600 but the problem is they set you up on such a high interest rate that you will be stuck in it. Now im $5,000 in negative equity and stuck paying almost $500 a month for a vehicle with 150,000 miles on it which is crazy. I literally took $5,000 to a car lot in the same town that they claim they work close with to trade up for a newer vehicle and was turned down because of the amount still left on the vehicle. The Definition of Predatory Lending While this is not true of all car dealers, much less buy here pay here lots, these folks have set the bar at an all time low when it comes to taking advantage of the indigent and ignorant. Two months ago, unbeknownst to me, my daughter came to OKcarz looking for her first car with her mom, my ex wife. After what has been explained to me as pressure sales tactics and half truths, my 19 year old daughter leaves with a 2011 Mazda 3, that has over 119k miles, a monthly payment of 450.00, and a total car price of $12,550.00. No that's not a typo. Kelly blue book lists this car in good condition at a maximum of 6,000.00 to a private seller. Bear in mind this total cost isn't with finance fees and the full term, no no, her total at full term is more than 18,000.00!!!! Aside form being upside down in a terrible loan, on Christmas Eve she finds herself stranded as her car died repeatedly. Without the ability to address this over the holidays I went with her to look at the car only to note that it would not be an easy fix. A tow to the closest shop reveals that it's the fuel pump that's gone bad and a heft 1,150.00 bill to replace it. My daughter, still believing in the premise of her car digs through her warranty to find that her fuel pump is covered! The next morning, today as it were, she contacts the dealer with me repeatedly only to be ignored and our calls not returned. I decided to drive her out to the dealership in Lakeland all the way from Orlando, since they couldn't return phone calls. After all of the driving, we are asked to wait until they could find out what's going on with the warranty. 30 mins later I go to the desk and am advised that the fuel pump isn't covered and they won't be participating in the repair costs. My daughter, who had taken the initiative to highlight the warranty proudly displays it to the so called manager. After a few minutes of reviewing he states well this is for a mechanical fuel pump, and hers is electric. I review and confirm he is correct. More to the point that mechanical fuel pumps haven't been used in stock vehicles in a very long time. In short, this company, and its owner, Chris Doherty, seek only to prey on those that are so desperate or naive that they do not do the research on the cars, their value, or what the warranty actually covers. Please take the time to do your research and avoid the unfortunate situation that has befallen not only my daughter, but the countless others that have left reviews on Google, the better business bureau, Yelp and the like. I purchased my car on October 4 of 2023 and an hour after I left a lot a light popped up on the dash. I sent an email directly to the sales manager that sold it to me. Mr. Michael. I went in the next day and he handed me the Warranty card. I have no problem with calling them. I called and told them the problem they referred me to an auto repair shop I made an appointment. Five days later my car shut down on me and would not crank! I only had this car in my possession for six days, I called warranty, I call Michael, I called the finance department, I called everyone I could to get help getting my car to their preferred auto repair shop and they all told me no! I explained I would be seeking legal help and then about an hour later I got a call and was told they would cover the towing for the car to be taken to the mechanic. Now I am with out my newly purchased car and stranded after putting a very decent amount down on this vehicle. I was told by two people that these vehicles are put through inspections before they are even put on the lot for sale but I can not see that being the case if the car breaks down and will not even crank after only being in my possession for six days!!! I am still having trouble getting the records on the vehicle showing it was in fact checked out before being sold to me!!! How would you feel if this was happening to your wife/daughter? I am positive you would not allow a company to treat your loved ones this way and I will not be stuck with a car that I am paying $600 a month for that doesn't even work!!! I was advised by Michael that if this car couldn't be fix I would be put into a different vehicle but he has also gone back on his work to help me since making such statements. I fully understand that you are a sales manager not in the warranty department but since the company is completely interconnected you were a logical choice for a phone call as again I only had the car in my possession for six days. I was asked by Michael to call him back in the morning at 10 AM the next morning then the morning of when I did give him a call I was made to sound like I was being unreasonable and that it was not his problem. For weeks now I have been dealing with a broken vehicle. A $22,000 car that I had paid $7000 for in the first year that I've had it. Initially they were telling me it wasn't going to be covered under warranty, although I am in my, 20,000 mile car warranty period. Now after having to pay for this vehicle to be towed four times out of my own pocket, pay for rental cars out of my own pocket, I am now trying to see if there's any assistance to be had on the $600 a month payment that I am making for a broken vehicle. Every problem that I have contacted them with to try and get some sort of assistance with they have been reluctant and outright refused to give, any sort of assistance. I do not recommend either OK cars or mid Florida financing for any car purchases! These people are thieves and give not a care in the world about screwing over their customers. Not only a horrible product, but horrible customer service as well. I hope someone reads this before going into business with these people and please just find another way to get your car. The reason I gave them a 2 star rating is simply because up until my car caught on fire randomly I had 0 issues with it. I've been a customer with ok carz for two years and I kept my comp and collision through them because it's was a great price! Little did I know how much I would regret that decision. A couple of days ago I was driving my car and it shut off and caught fire. Luckily no one was hurt or injured. So I call Midflorida Finance which is who finances allll of their cars and explained the situation, the rep advised me to send a couple pics to get the claim started so I did that. This was at 10 am, at 4:30 pm I called to see what the nexus step was and the rep then advised they were waiting on a police report from me but never asked for one at any point. I instantly send it to them and am advised because it's Friday at this point in the afternoon nothing would happen till Monday and keep in mind the car is sitting in front of my house. Monday rolls around and it's about noon and I haven't heard anything so I call midflorida and ask if there's an update, they tell me they sent my pictures off to Lakeland Toyota for an estimate and are waiting for a response so I asked if they were sending anyone out to inspect the car and she advised no they would be deciding the date of the car based off the 5 photos I sent in. (Not your typical experience) and I also work for an insurance company in the TOTAL LOSS DEPARTMENT! Tuesday's rolls around there is still no update until mid afternoon, they call to ask if I can start the car so they can continue in their decision making... meanwhile in the picture I sent them you can see the entire battery was melted and gone so obviously no. So she has to now call them back and provide the info. Wednesday finally comes and they deem the car a total loss and say someone will be there within 3 days to tow the car and they will come get the key from me. Well they showed up very early morning and didn't come get my key so when I go to get my stuff about the old car and put it in my new car I notice the car is gone. When I call she advises I know have to drive 40 minutes to come collect my stuff after the tow truck driver didn't get the keg from me and they have to have the key. I'm here at the ok carz in Lakeland and the lady at the cashier window is rude, unfriendly and not helpful so I highly advise not doing business with these people. read more

I purchased a 2010 Honda CR-V back in Febuary 2022. A few weeks after I got the vehicle I was having problems with the transmission. I called the warranty company and they told me to bring it into there local repair shop so I did and they wanted to charge me $200 just for a diagnostic. A week after that the Ac went down and the oil filter gasket was shot. I had to replace the AC compressor and the windershield washer motor. I put down $1500.00 deposit and within 6 weeks of having the vehicle I put in over $2500 worth of parts. a few months ago I lost my job and I kept in contact with them on the status of getting a new job and they said they would work with me until I get a job. Well that didn't happen cause at 4am they called me and told me they where here to reposses my car. NO WARNING NOTHING NADA! When I contacted them to see how to go about getting my vehicle back they said that I needed to pay them $1200 plus the $215 tow charge and I had to fill out all the forms again. They didn't even give me very much time to try and come up with the money. They gave me exactly 8 hours to get the money and stuff together before they said they would sell it again. The brakes gave out on me a week after purchasing the car and warranty told me I had to fix it yet they still wanted the money. We got to the lot an nothing on the website was available. Went to get financed after speaking with one of the salesman, (I won't mention his name), we went inside and filled out my paperwork. After sitting in the office for two hours and being asked everything about my personal life, the salesman left for about twenty minutes and came back saying something totally different from what he mentioned earlier in the conversation and tried to sell me a truck for twice the amount it was worth. We left and went down the street to EasyDriveUSA and within 30 minutes I was driving off the lot with a new car. This company charged me $3600 down which I paid on Nov 13. I Missed a payment of $200 due two weeks later, I couldn't contact them even though I have phone records of calls, and they repossessed my car Dec 13 which was only two weeks after the payment was due. I offered to pay $800 which would have been more than what was due and pay for towing and recovery. They refused. Not only that the car was in in a no fault hit and run with damage to the fender and headlight and covered by my full coverage auto insurance. So they get a brand new fender and headlight and the car looks nicer than when I purchased it. I kept it immaculately. They refuse to refund any of my $3600 down payment, they keep the car, the insurance money, and are reporting my contract as a repossession for $17000 on my credit. I have contacted attorneys, as they violated Florida state repo law, and also I have filed for arbitration per the signed arbitration agreement and paid ironically $200 for a filing fee. This same $200 that could have been paid to OkCarz which was due and they refused to accept. The outcome of this case is pending. I called to notify them today January 7th 2022 of the pending arbitration. They have refused to work with me in any way or accept my money or return the car or return my $3600 down payment. Originally I was told I would qualify for a $1000 down payment. I agreed. Then they said I had to pay $3000 down, I agreed, then they said I had to pay $3600 down, I agreed. Then they set a payment due two weeks later which I missed because I was unable to contact them because they had no voicemail set up, and they took down their web payment portal to redo their website. Please do not even think of dealing with any of their dealerships. I have been a Google Local Guide for over 7 years. I give honest accurate reviews of businesses and I have never been so upset, angry, or taken advantage of by a single other business in the history of my adult life. I am reporting them to the BBB, and contact the Florida Bar association until I find an attorney who will file suit against them per their arbitration agreement as well which does not forbid a court suit expressly from being filed if the arbitration does not go as planned. I would have been happy to take the car back even though they had towed it with ZERO notice. Nothing was ever mailed to me until after the car was repo'd until on the last day I had to refinance the vehicle which I could not do, I got the same day in the mail a letter telling me I could refinance and had until that day. The post mark was the same day. I have never in my life seen something this offensive happen with a car purchase. I have also filed reviews and a complaint with the BBB as well as Scamify.com and any other place they appear online to warn consumers. read more

My husband and I purchased a car at the end of August. Salesman was awesome. Once we left, we were almost home and stopped to get gas. We noticed the gas door was not working. We have called 5 times and left 5 messages with the warranty department with not even a call back to this day!!! Everything was great a month ago when I purchased my car. I loved everything about it. Fast forward to Friday when my check engine light came on and my car wasn't changing gears correctly, so I called and left a vm with the service center, no call back. Closed on the weekends, Monday is here and no call back! So I call for 2 hours straight and finally speak to someone who says I have to pay to have my car looked at that's under warranty that I shouldn't have to do anyways because I've had it for a month!!!!! Asked about bringing it back and she says "sure if you want a 7-10 year repossession on my credit. Took it to my own mechanic to see that it didn't have one drop of oil in it. If this "dealership" was in many other states they would be shut down. Because of a major mechanical and safety issue I returned my car to them, even at the risk of my credit rating. So you'll know I never missed a payment and was in good financial standing with them. After filing a BBB complaint they responded stating the repair was $96.00. When in fact it was well over $400 and that was from THEIR mechanic. So in an attempt to mislead BBB they lied. The Manager at the Orlando Branch "Matt" has no customer service and did not show any interest or respect for our business. bought a 2012 Kia soul for 13K (not cheap) and the only key fob was not working. Our sales person was not experienced and did not have answers to the majority of our questions. So he kept going to Matt over and over to get the answers and returned with "well, he said". He was sitting at his desk with a vapor cigarette instead of coming to us for 5 minutes to answer our questions. I called and left many messages and no call back. When there are issues instead of addressing him, "matt" stopped answering call or returning them. I had to call their hotline and was promised a key but never received one and no call either. read more

Don't ever purchase any vehicle from them. All their vehicles have problems. I purchase a used a vehicle 2 weeks in the regulator and motor on drivers window went out. Went to Lakeland Toyota and they replaced it with the wrong part. Afterwards the connector to the coil packs are damaged causing my cylinders to misfire. This all happened within 2 months of purchasing this vehicle. They don't inspect their vehicles thoroughly and all their cars are piece of shit. If you're in a bind due to bad credit many reputable dealers have programs that'll help with it. I wish I known this before I went here. Worst place ever!!! Stay away!!! read more

Do not go here. I got myself into a 2016 Hyundai Accent on 7/12/21 and all its giving me is nothing but problems. in 2 weeks, the battery in the car died. had a towing company come and give me a jump. He told me that the battery was below 6 percent. what is wrong with that picture there. Then, i am having other issues too like the screeching/grinding sound by the passenger front wheel. I didnt like that sound at all. plus the AC is making a bubbling noise when its on the highest setting. Then the fuel cap light came up multiple times, then the airbag warning light came on multiple times even while i was driving. the snowflake warning light came on saying its -40 degrees. Also the trunk gets stuck. this car is not safe at all. forget about MidFlorida Finance, Ron Werner is nothing but the rudest persons i ever spoke to. HE think he knows everything about the car. He even told me the car is reliable and it can get you from point A to point B with no problems. I told him it gets me from point A to point B with problems. Its like this, why pay for a car that is giving me nothing but problems!!! i would recommend DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more
