This lady doing ny pedicure has no idea how any of these tools work including the nail polish remover. No foot scrub, no massage or lotion. Two different ppl have done my cuticles 3x. I have been a licensed nail tech 30 years . I completely know that this woman never went to school and this is her very first pedicure. Scared how it will turn out. She doesn't know to put the sandals on before the toe separators I'm not sure what to say because the owner tells really loudly. She's spilling polish all over my nails. This woman NEVER went to nail school ever. Now another person is taking all 4 coats off with acetone because my nails are a total mess. People are Not Licensed here. 1) I didn't get all the services I paid for. I was suppose to have a massage I got a hot towel wrapped around that's it. 2) she didn't scrub my feet and when I commented on it she just smiled and shook her head yes. 3. Well, I know why this place is called "OK Nails", and that is because the nail job is literally, just, "OK". The only positive, was the guy who did my pedicure was nice. Everything else...heavy sigh. The place smells of sewage. The lady answering the phone would tell people they were busy. I was the only one, then 2 other people walked in. So, don't make an appointment. Just show up, if you dare. The English language is broken by all, except the last answering the phone. But wasn't great. Even though the guy who did my pedicure was nice, he didn't do a very good job. I can say, it honestly wasn't worth the $50, which was a shame. I was really looking forward to a good pedicure. He used a Dremel tool to file the calluses, didn't clean good under my nails, didn't check for ingrown nails and left polish on my skin. When he was finished, he gave me 2 left foot sandals. Had I wanted to pick my acrylic nails off, I could have done that at home and not paid someone to do it. I went in with Acrylic nails I had done while I was out of town. I wanted them to be shortened up because they were really long, wanted to leave the acrylic on to protect my nails while they grew, and change the gel polish. When I was "greeted" as I came in I should have taken the hint. The older lady who seemed like she ran the place, asked me what I wanted, and I told her, and she tried to talk me into a new acrylic set, I said no, and told her again what I wanted. She had my go to a younger lady at the end of the row of tables. She explained, or I think she did, I had no idea what they were saying, and we got started. The process was very different than I have ever experienced. She started with my left pinky, used the grinder to get most of the existing gel polish off, did the same to the rest of the nails, then put my hand in acetone, I figured to get the rest of the polish off she had not removed. THen she shortened my pinky, smoothed it out and I told her it was perfect! Then she proceeded to do the rest of my left hand, but instead of shortening them to where she did on the first nail, she went all the way down to my finger. I tried to explain, but she just kept going. I figured well, I did ask her to shorten them. Then the other lady came over and was like yelling at her, and they had some disagreement about how it was going. Then with the grindings all over the table, she lightly brushes off my left hand, and puts a base coat on the left hand. She was super lucky all the grindings and dust did not get in the base coat. Then started on grinding the right hand, she was doing all different shapes. No acetone this time. The nails on the left looked nothing like the right, and nothing looked like the first nail I told her was good. Then she puts basecoat on my right hand. After that, she hits my hands with alcohol? Takes out the gel polish I had chosen and starts to paint. It does not adhere, does something really weird, then she goes and gets the first lady and they have another big discussion. She takes a brush with acetone and goes over the color polish. THe first lady tells me to move down to the 1st table and she takes over. She tried to convince me to get more acrylic again. I said no, I guess since you filed them down shorter than my fingers, go ahead and just remove the acrylic. There was not much left. I say can you please soak it, she said no. I said Ok grind it, and she spouts off something, and starts grinding, then takes out this thing and starts to pick the acrylic off and I stop her. She puts my hands back i acetone, then files some more, and keeps going back to trying to pick them off. I give up arguing with her. Then what is left of my nail is so rough, she files the base to smooth it. When I left, my nails were ragged, not even filed to shape, and I really have no nail base left and they literally hurt! It was all I could do not to cry. You could not PAY ME TO EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! I doubt their licenses are even real! read more

I don't recommend going to this nail salon. I went with my grandma to get our nails done. I had pink nail polish on when I got there and I told the lady if I could do white and she said no. I kept on having to tell her to do white on my nails, and she finally listened and did white on my nails. I went on vacation and decided to get my nails done, and this was honestly the worst experience I've had at a salon. when they say Ok Nails, they really mean just okay. When I went in there was only one lady there, I assume she's the owner, and she was so rude and kinda yelled at me. The service I requested was as simple as it can get, pink gel nails. It did not turn out good. The nails were not shaped well and when I told her that one of the nails was crooked she got mad at me and told me I was wrong. after that I didn't say anything else bc I was kinda scared. I ended up having to go to my friend to fix my nails, and she's not even a licensed nail tech and she did better than this lady. this woman got the product all over my cuticles and did nothing to prep my nails. Made an appt for a mani pedi and got right in on a Sunday. I Can see why. If you like Archie Bunker and the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld you might love this place. Married couple. Husband washed my feet and removed nail polish while telling me Pagosa Springs is the worst place he's ever lived. Full of now left wing Californians. The wife started my mani while her hubby worked in my feet. She gave be a boiling hot bag of acetone to soak off my polish. When I told her it was too hot. She put her hand in it and said no it's fine. You put your hands in now. I Can't tell you how many Prior customers these two insulted as they talked to me about them. And I lost track of how Many times she slapped my hand or foot when it wasn't doing what she wanted. The nails turned out OK. So truth in advertising there. My son and I visited here while on vacation. He wanted to checkout what's pedicure was all about so he tagged along. The older man and woman were nice and did a good job. There was a younger guy that came in and set up my sons water and made a rude comment to him when he saw he was going to have blue polish put in his toes. My little one is 8 and wanted the full experience. Lucky my son is partially deaf and wasn't wearing his hearing aids and so he did not hear this guys comment. It would have crushed him. We had a blast while we indulged in some wonderful service and even better conversation as they didn't mind our rather loud group. I am 62 years old and have never left a bad review nor have I ever NOT left a tip for services before today. But, I feel totally ripped off by OK Nails in Pagosa Springs, CO. I decided to treat myself to the Deluxe pedicure ($50) this morning. It lasted a total of 20 minutes. It was the shortest, most basic, pedicure I've ever had (remember, I'm 62 and have had many, many, many pedicures). The experience included about 2 minutes of hot stone massage (not really massaged), about two seconds of a foot scrub, some lotion, and hot towels. The gentleman (owner) complained about Pagosa the entire time he was removing my prior polish and supposedly beginning the "deluxe" pedicure I had requested. His wife then completed my pedicure. She spent VERY little time on my cuticles and before I knew it had applied polished and sent me on my way. It's been about four months since my last pedicure (at another location) so I knew my toenails were in need of attention. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I literally walked out bare footed, without leaving a tip, with wet nails. I'll NEVER go back nor would I EVER recommend this salon to any Pagosian or visitor. read more
