Fitzharrys school is one of 3 state secondary schools in Abingdon…read more It is situated on the Northcourt road next to Abingdon college, and is spread across quite a large site with a huge playing foeld and all-weather pitch. The buildings are a mixture of old and new, with some departments better equipped than others. The school offers the usual range of subjects at all levels, and its position on the league table varies from year to year as do the other secondary schools in the area. The 6th form is part of a consortium with the other 2 secondary schools - John Mason and Larkmead, and also Abingdon College, and students can choose a range of subjects from any of these centres to study at A level.

There is a playgroup inside the school where the children can then move to the nursery and finally into the mainstream school. I have not encountered any problems in any of the areas, my daughter attended the nursery before starting school and my son is currently in the playgroup waiting to go into nursery in the new year.
