However, be warned that it can get busy on the weekends with outside quests paying a fee to use the pool and the grounds. The rock itself is loaded with secluded spots to sit and check out the ocean or just contemplate life. And the giant steel octopus is a hit with kids and adults alike. Mangodlong also has a very good restaurant that has great food anytime of the day. Finally, everyone on staff is so nice that you'll feel very fortunate to be a guest.

Slides and children's water park - they start at 10:30am and only do 1 slide at a time 30 minute each . There reason is the equipment will only do one. (Why open a park when you can only run one). In my opinion it's a rip off. What if you are all adults and want the big slide. Fyi they stop running at 4:30pm. Food has corkage fee , lechon has corkage fee and you cannot bring water or any drinks or you will also be charge a fee. The soft drink as of this review is 77 pesos. The tuba was also expensive. The restroom was decent however there was no soap to wash your hands . The employees also uses the restrooms , so I wonder if they even wash hands with soap. No toilet papers and no trash bins inside the rest rooms. The positive side is the place outside looks well maintained a lot of opportunity to take pictures. The staff is good at getting your needs like plates , utensils and drinks ( service water). Just a suggestion there should be two people watching the slide to monitor down below and up on the deck.

Very affordable , people and the owner are very hospitable and mostly very clean pool. You can also book the place exclusively at a Very low price so you can have a good time with your friends, family and love ones . This is great place for team building,parties and different occasion , for backpackers , climbers and even for not so "outdoorsy" people and just want to chill. Although it's hard to get signal for your phone, but isn't it the purpose why we wanted to have " relax" time , "US" time or "bonding time " ? so we can unplugged ourselves sometimes from the techy devices that glued us in our everyday life? The view was absolutely DIVINE! (see what I did there? ;) We were greeted by a modest picture of an open concept structure. However as you draw near, you know that the simplicity was a perfect complement to the peaceful nature it rests upon. The nice breeze and sound of the sea welcomes your approach. What greets you in the lobby is the breathtaking view of the infinity pool leading towards the sea. My son loved it so much he quickly asked if he can jump in, and that he did. He stayed there the entire day I might add. Conveniently the rooms (all 9 of them) were just a few steps from the pool so it was not so hard to keep an eye out for him. The rooms are no suite but are adequately sized for a family of 3. They were clean with everything we needed. Surprisingly the beds and the linen sheets were hotel grade and yes I can tell they are because when you're pregnant you tend to be very picky and observant for such comforts. They even have a common kitchen but hardly used it. There is a restaurant nearby though so food wasn't an issue. Service was superb, staff - friendly, made us feel right at home. Apparently this location is close to adventures and tourist attractions. Kawasan Falls, Canyoneering and Sardine Run were just a few minutes away as we were told. Our intent was to go Whale Shark Watching in a neighbouring town, Oslob. Their staff was very accommodating to help us with arrangements. Oh and their English is superb so no worries in communication. The cherry on top to this beautiful place was the stunning sunsets as the days end. I wish I have words to describe the feeling when you see it but you will just have to be there to see and experience it for yourself. Memories were indeed made.

There were a few options…read morethat pop-up, but after reading a few reviews about Sunshine Garden, I went ahead and booked it through Hotels.com Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately by owner, Loraine and her amazing staff. Loraine even provided us a welcome freshly brewed, ice tea. Check-in was easy, and I had two rooms booked, but Loraine only asked for one room deposit. Sunshine Garden is located about a 10-minute walk to the beach, and about a 20 minute walk into town where all the festivities are including local eateries. Very centrally located. Sunshine Garden also provides rental for scooters in house, a full served homemade breakfast. Loraine also cooks bread fresh daily which was delicious. There are about 11 rooms total in this resort. We were on the second floor, with a full balcony at back with a glimpse view of the ocean. I chuckled as I also had a few of a water buffalo and chickens. What a treat! My aunt who joined us was downstairs and she had 3 beds (really huge room), and a beautiful front porch with a table and 2 chairs which we took advantage of nightly. They have a cute gazebo with full dining table and chairs for breakfast or hanging out, including a hammock. They also provided a few books for reading, and a fantastic cat that roams the property and says hello to everyone. There is also an elder dog and apologies that I did not get the name but was also fun to watch roaming. I brought my own coffee and coffee press so you can request hot water thermos that surprisingly, lasted very hot for a full 24 hours. Bathroom and toilet are separate, bedrooms are nice and comfy. There are no phones in the room or TV, but there is a guard 24/7 after evening and the owner Loraine lives on site the property should you need additional amenities. I think the best treat staying at Sunshine Bantayan Garden Resort is the coziness and peacefulness. It is easy access to everything in town like the beach, restaurants and grocery stores, but I think the hidden gem here is their garden. It's like taking a walk in a nature park. So peaceful and very quiet at night. I would return here again when I visit Bantayan Island. Cheers!
