The Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow is the perfect place to relax,…read moredecompress, or meet for a date, not to mention its obvious educational value. "Founded in 1783 according to the design of Franz Kaiser. It's the oldest botanical garden in Poland and, as a whole, has the character of a museum. It covers an area of 9.6 hectares." It's enormous.
I was incredibly impressed by how well-maintained and beautiful the area is. For many years, I had forgotten about this destination. They must have done lots of renovations, upgrades etc. to make it even more unique and a must-see attraction. I will definitely correct my mistakes and visit this place at least once every time I'm in Krakow.
There are three greenhouses and an orangery which was recently build. Be sure to check their opening hours. I know they're closed to visitors on Mondays.
The history of the garden's creation is fascinating and worth exploring.
