I hesitate to share too many details of my delicious meal because chances are, whenever you visit this restaurant, the seasonal menu will have changed and you won't get to indulge in whatever is available today. I'm just not that cruel.
I will say, however, that these guys pride themselves on their fresh, homemade pasta and authentic Italian flavors with a bit of a creative twist of their own. They have an extensive wine menu and a few signature cocktails, as well as the classics and a few beers to get you going.
I stuck to the tried-and-true Truffle Carbonara Spaghetti with bits of Guanciale, which is a crispy bacon-like meat that isn't actually bacon, and a sprinkling of Pecorino Romano cheese for good measure. Piping hot and pretty darn amazing, I could find nothing wrong with my dish. The noodles were a little harder than I'm used to, but in my honest non-Italian opinion, I think that made them all the more satisfying.
As for dessert, you get a few modest options ranging from refreshing sorbets to crispy tiramisu. My server strongly recommended the Pistachio and Sheep's Milk Cannoli, which is the crunchiest and creamiest cannoli I've ever had. It's a bit messy to eat, and heavier than it looks, but well worth a try at least once.
The cool thing about this place is that they also offer pasta-making classes, so if you're trying to up your cooking game, but don't want to waste a fortune on culinary school, you now have a place to come and hone your skills; for pasta, anyway. You can find all the deets you need to know on their website. read more
