Elliot greeted me right away and was very friendly and welcoming. Even though the shop was technically closed, he was still open for walk-ins and had time to get me in. I honestly didn't know exactly what I wanted or even have the right barber terminology to explain it. Elliot took the time to listen to what I was trying to describe, explain the different options, and help me figure out what would work best. He even explained what I should ask for next time so I can properly describe the haircut I want. He did a great job, was patient and professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. I really appreciate him taking the extra time to educate me instead of just rushing through the haircut. Definitely recommend Elliot! Great barber, great customer service, and I'll definitely be coming back.

After stopping by 3-4 different barber shops the night before, which were either closed or ghetto; I decided to give Yuniel's City Barbershop a try. I chose the right place! There was a good flow of customers during the hour that I was there. If you are looking for a barber shop, I highly recommend this place. The best $15 haircut I have ever received in my life. I've been coming to this barbershop for years, but today was the worst experience I've ever had…read more The barber -- who I can only describe as "The Butcher" -- completely ruined my haircut. He cut three inches above my hairline, leaving it uneven and absolutely terrible. When I calmly pointed out how bad the cut was, he actually asked me if I was "just trying to get out of paying." That was insulting and unprofessional. I told him I would pay, but I would never come back after this. I did speak with the owner, and to his credit, he apologized and seemed genuinely concerned. Unfortunately, the damage was already done. Beware of who cuts your hair here -- one bad barber can ruin your entire experience!
