    Turkey and cheese lettuce wrap

Service was great for fast for lunch. That atmosphere was good. Everyone sandwiches seem to look really good, I had the lettuce wrap which was way over lettuce. There was to much lettuce rapping the meat, I felt like a rabbit.

As a sandwich shop, you cannot get much better. The staff is very pleasant, even when there is a line to the door. And considering that it happens a lot, that's a good thing. So far, after coming here often since it is near my workplace, I have had close to ten different sandwiches from their very large menu. I have not been disappointed yet. I will be coming back for more, and maybe I'll try and do the entire menu. They even have a little free library at the counter. Try the deli fries with fry sauce, it is excellent!

One great Reuben sandwich! One of my favorites here in Boise. If you like local and fresh ingredients you will love this joint.

Located in a strip mall in SE Boise, Off Broadway Deli is known for their deli and specialty sandwiches and soups. They also have a salads, fried chicken, chicken strips, finger steaks and deli fries. Show them your Boise State University or military ID for 10% off your order. The same offer applies Firefighters and Police Officers. Years ago, this business was Hugo's Deli. At some point it became independently owned. For that reason, you will notice some similarities between the menus but Off Broadway Deli has additional specialty sandwiches, their own soup recipes, and they use different seasoning/batter for their chicken. One of the reasons why I most wanted to visit this deli is because they are known for their extensive list of homemade soups, which they rotate through. They usually offer two soups a day but for my first visit on 11/9/21, they had three. Homemade soup is one of my favorites and I could happily eat it every day, so I ordered a bowl of each. The soup comes in two sizes, a cup for $2.99 or a bowl for $5.09. I got Jalapeño Bacon Beer Cheese, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Loaded Baked Potato. I also ordered a drumstick and some fries. Off Broadway Deli has homemade fry sauce, as well as regular and spicy ketchup, which is like cocktail sauce. I got a little of each. All of the soups had good flavor. My favorite was a tossup between the Loaded Potato and the Jalapeño Bacon Beer Cheese. The drumstick and fries were excellent, as was the fry sauce. Off Broadway Deli usually posts their daily soups on their FB page. If not, just give them a call and they'll be happy to tell you their daily soups. Their soup repertoire includes the following: Chicken Pot Pie Lemon Artichoke Chili BBQ Chicken Sausage & Cabbage Chicken Tortilla Crab Bisque Chicken Cordon Bleu Cheesy Cauliflower Cream of Broccoli Potato, Ham & Corn Chowder Cream of Asparagus Tomato Buffalo Bacon Cauliflower Chicken Poblano Swedish Meatball Clam Chowder Chicken Enchilada Maple Ham & Bean Chicken Verde Split Pea w/ Ham Address: 3369 S. Discovered this gem seven years ago and I'm so glad they are still here! They are the best! Come in during lunch and they will get your sandwich made faster than Jimmy johns and ten tastier. They also have some of the best fried chicken and potatoes in town if sandwiches aren't on your mind. Each time we come in I try a new sandwich, The Porter with sweet and got mustard, turkey, bacon, salami and pickle or The Italian but my husband always gets The Club. You have to try on sourdough bread. Local and so soft you'll think it's on white bread.

Classic sandwich shop/deli. Off-broadway has a great selection of sammies and sides. They also do some pretty impressive Idaho steak fries. It looked like they also had a soup but I did not get that. I ordered a turkey bacon avocado on a recommendation from the staff and I was not disappointed. I ordered mine on hearty sourdough and was pleased that it held up to the sheer volume of meat and toppings. Everything was fresh and it was one of the faster deli's I've been to.

A person came from another part of the building after about 5 mins... I assume that is where the sandwhiches are made. Orders were placed. I had the Brisket special sandwhich and asked for it plain... ie, brisket and bun. I was second in line and there was another person behind me and then another came in. I waited for about 15 mins. I noticed the cashier disappeared again to get someones food. Then he was chatting with some guests for a bit. Finally, he disappeared again and arrived with two orders, but it was the two people AFTER me. Another 5 minutes later I got my brisket sandwhich. Also a few other people came in after me and the same process seemed to repeat over and over... ie come in to an empty cashier, wait around in confusion. Several people mentioned it was their first time that day so maybe having a sign or having some sort of system to notify when an order is ready. It looks like the slice of brisket I got was the outside and about 6-7"s long and it was really hard, stringy and tough to chew. It would have been nice if it was chopped finely and if I could have gotten something a bit more tender. It was warmed up though. You would think this would take 30 seconds to make this sandwhich, I should have to wait 15-20 mins. The flavor was ok, but I only ate about half and ended up having to get rid of the other half due to it just being too chewy and one long piece. Parking lot was fairly full, but nice that there was parking there. The vibe was a bit weird overall as well. I don't think I will be back. I am sure they have better sandwhiches, but I just didn't really enjoy the experience and the price was above $15.

There wasn't much in the lettuce department. For 14 bucks, there wasn't a lot of salad to it. My husband always gets the Boise Philly and they always do a good job. So, it's hard for me to say no when my husband wants to come here. We stopped in today for a late lunch. My husband ordered his normal. I decided to be different and ordered the black and blue brat. The picture they have on the brat in their menu looked so good so I had to get it. We grabbed a table and hung out till our food was ready. The food came out nice and hot. My husband's sandwich looked killer like always. Mine...... I wish I could have said the same. My brat came on a sandwich bun. It still looked good but I knew it was going to be a lot of breading to my brat. The brat as savory and peppery. It was good and had a good snap to it. It was a little hard to enjoy the brat since they drowned my bun with the ground mustard. It was really overwhelming. And for 2 bucks you can add sauerkraut. Don't bother adding it cause you barely get any. My husband's sandwich was good. The filet was tender and the cheese was nice and melty. Overall, it was an ok meal. I wish they would have told me about the bun being different. I would have ordered something else. I really want to like this place. They are local and I know the serve great did but I just haven't had that experience yet.

He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. I would highly recommend this place for the staff that is there the solid pub style restaurant that they have created. Super easy and relaxed kinda of place.

Getting that out of the way, they are about to do a massive renovation and totally transform the space. A quick chat with the manager I learned a lot about the plans for this restaurant and it's going to be incredible and I'm so happy that it is a part of the black moon family because man do they know how to make a good sandwich. You can pick up a coffee right next-door at broadcast coffee, the same people run it. In fact, the two suites are connected through a back entrance. I am happy with how this place currently is, but I am even more excited for the renovation and reopening. Yes, they only are serving lunch hours right now, but as they expand and grow and re-launch in the coming months, this is going to be an excellent addition to the Boise community. I ordered the turkey pesto, toasted without mustard and it was delicious. It has sun-dried tomatoes pesto turkey mayonnaise served on a delicious house made bread. I would recommend to a friend, check them out.

Anesso, annex in Italian, opened next to Broadcast coffee, a business with the same owner hence the…read moreclever annex name, yesterday for "very soft" launch as the owner described it.   We are fans of the owner's sibling eatery, Black Moon in Garden City, for pizza, salad, baked goods and coffee and we enjoy Broadcast for coffee too, so we were following news of Anesso and went yesterday, 5-13-25, for opening day.  Perfeto! For us at least, with a menu of maybe half a dozen Italian themed sandwiches using ciabatta or focacci, that is baked at Black Moon, in options for omnivore to vegetarians (roughly $12 - $15) and four salads and if you've enjoyed the great salads at Black Moon, you know these salads (roughly $7.50 - $9) will be too. My husband and I discovered Black Moon in early December 2023, not long after it opened, when it was not yet well known but we knew as soon as it was, it would be super popular and busy. Yep, that is true now. We think the same will be so for Anesso, with lines out the door once people know it is open for business. So a tip is go now to be "the first kid on your block" to try it without crowds. The only drawback for us is it is in downtown Boise and not closer to our house, so it is roughly 35 minutes from our front door to Anesso's counter, assuming we can find parking once we arrive, but it is so worth it for these sandwiches. Our plan is to eat our way through the menu.   CURRENT HOURS: Open M - F from 11a to 3p as they continue to work through new business stuff and then they plan to expand hours.  We arrived maybe 12:30'ish to find no line, we were surprised by that, but we hear it had been a busy hour before that and as soon as we ordered out sandwich to share, four others lined up behind us.  THE DRILL. Order at the counter from the digital menu handing over head that features half a dozen'ish sandwiches, all on their house baked focaccia or ciabatta with options for omnivores and vegetarians.  (The size is easily shareable and if you tell them you plan to do that, they will cut and wrap each half separately.)  They are still waiting on whatever certificate it is they need from the city to offer inside dining, the tables and chairs are stacked against the wall to be ready, so it is take-away only right now. Conveniently located adjacent to Cheri Buckner-Webb park, the urban park with the big pink tree sculpture, there are tables there to eat at or we were invited to take our sandwich next door to eat it inside Broadcast and since it was raining, we did that and enjoyed Broadcast's Americano with it. THE EATS: Our choice yesterday was to share the mortadella sandwich, with mortadella cut whisper thin as it should be, before piling it on the sandwich with house made pistachio pesto, to echo the pistachios in the mortadella, stracciatella cheese, arugula and pickled shallots on bread with a great chew and sturdy enough to hold up to the ingredients ($14.85).  As 'bonus', we have it on good authority of another happy Anesso customer eating inside Broadcast that the porchetta sandwich is the best he has ever had. ACCESSIBILITY: Level in off the sidewak / patio out front and all on one floor. Order counter is at accessible height. Without tables inside, there is lots of floor space for a wheelchair user to get to and from counter. I hope they'll continue that and ensure their tables are placed for ADA access needs and since they have done that at both Broadcast and Black Moon, it seems they will do it here too. NO PHONE NUMBER: This is true for Black Moon too but Black Moon has a website. Anesso doesn't, they use their insta page but Yelp requires a web address to post this and they will not accept the insta address. So I've inserted Black Moon, their sister, web page.
