A great brewery that continue to impress me. A great looking space inside with a great patio outside. Staff is VERY friendly and happy to be there. I've been visiting occasionally for years (maybe once every few months) and early on, I always enjoyed a couple of their staples, Heliocentric Hefeweizen and Psycho Penguin Vanilla Porter. Over the years, my tastes have changed and they've grown and increased their repertoire. Now, they produce one of my favorite barrel aged stouts, Salyut. It ranks up there, or even beats, some of the best (think Bourbon County Stout, Dry Dock Signature, etc). Their recent NEIPA, 4Gone Conclusion is amazing, and Hyper Lucidity, a vanilla coffee cream ale is very interesting and tasty as well. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed! read more

A wonderful selection of core beers with an always rotating choice of other new ones and old favorites (I always look forward to Old Dodge brewed in cooperation with the local fire department.) FYI...the owners of Odyssey do not super having a" kid friendly" establishment. i came here w a couple of friends who have a 10 yr old and a 14 year old and we were told they were not allowed at the establishment. This is the owners choice, i understand that, but when Google & Yelp both say they are kid friendly, this is poor business ethics. So, DO NOT bring your kids under 21 to this brewery, yoooooou will be turned away! I'd you are not out and about w kids, i do recommend this place for the tasty beers!! read more

Typical microbrewery with a nice selection of beers. I forgot which one I had but it was well made. There was a taco truck outside and those were tasty. The night I went they had drag queen bingo and so we stayed for a bit of that. Good fun and a nice venue. read more

First time to the actual brewery but I've sampled their beers at a few beer fest in the past. They make sure tasty brews and switch up their specialty beers pretty often. I'm here with the hubby on a Friday night and it's not too crowded, which we like! Definitely swing by and check it out if you're in the neighborhood! Odyssey was our last stop on a mini-brewery tour day this past weekend and I'm glad we saved it for last because it was quite a pleasant surprise! After driving past a long series of warehouses, you'll find Odyssey at the very end (alas, no Odysseus, though...darn it!) This place is huge: very large tap room with a beautiful hardwood bar area, many tables, and an excellent patio with plenty of umbrellas (that last bit is very important to an uber pale white girl...patios are great, but let's just make sure I make it out of that situation alive and not lobster red). My friends and I were lucky enough to snag a patio table after grabbing a few beers. Usually I go for a flight sampler, but I was only feeling brave enough for one more beer for the day. So I opted for the ESB, my bière du jour. Sadly I can't remember what my friends ordered, but I made sure to sip a bit of everyone's choices. And all I can say is: awesome! Each beer has a nice bold flavor! Unfortunately I cannot wax poetic about the beers right at this moment, but I can say that I loved this place and the brews. Odyssey was a huge surprise for me, having not even heard of the place before last week. The space is fantastic and will be most excellent to hang out at on a warm summer's day. Arvada keeps getting pretty impressive breweries! Odyssey is no exception at all! The place is tucked away in a business park right off of Sheridan. The bartender was extremely congenial which always is a plus! I got two tasters here since the day I was here was one of those marathon days of hitting several breweries! Here though instead of getting just one type of beer and writing about it I had to succumb to tasting two different kinds because I enjoyed their beer that much! To start with I got the Ghost Drifter Pale Ale which was awesome! The hops were not too bitter but the beer had a resounding flavor to it! My second choice was the Perpetual Darkness Belgian Black which ALSO had a wonderful smoothness and flavor to it as well! I would love to come back and look forward to seeing what brews they will make in the future! read more

We have been to Odyssey several times and each of them has been a great one! They've got a small patio, and their warehouse/tap room area isn't huge, but the vibe inside is very relaxed & down to earth. I'm always down for the psycho penguin, and last night I had the psycho penguin brewed with chai, and it was lovely. My husband tried the Pater beer, and it was great too- very drinkable. There was trivia going on while we were there, and they often have different events happening. The tap room is very dog friendly as well. Off the beaten path, but definitely worth a stop! read more

I came here with a few friends and a couple of dogs. They are dog friendly, and have dog bowls outside for water, which is nice of them to provide. Indoor and outdoor seating options, with some board games too. I got a flight of beers, and they all were too my liking (I can't remember the selections off the top of my head). The bartenders were friendly as well and as a tourist we asked tourist-y questions and they gave helpful answers. Overall a pretty great time! read more

We were there on a lazy Sunday afternoon and had a hard time finding a table. If you are one who does not enjoy families with kids, don't bother, at least on a Sunday - I can't attest to late nights. I've been waiting for them to open for a while. I was afraid that their close proximity to the wastewater treatment facility across Ralston would be a problem. Didn't notice it at all. I do hope they read their Yelp reviews because they have the potential to be very popular. I too enjoyed the flaovrs but did notice there was not a glass with a head of foam on it in the joint. That is a problem. Mouth feel is as important to me in a beer as the esthetics of a nicely topped beer followed by lovely lacing on a glass as the beer is consumed. Snobbery? One of our favorite brewery's BUT we now must say goodbye till summer. Why, because some a..hole let his kids run around crazy, jumps in the face of a dog, the dog barks at the unsupervised child, the parent post online how they now fear it's unsafe for their child so now all dogs are only allowed outside. Really? We only go to micro brewery's where we can take our dog. Dogs, kids, all need to coexist without the fear of one or the other being banned. If you do feel unsafe bringing your child to a BAR there's a lot more places you can choose. Don't make the establishment change policy because YOUR a d..k. May I suggest Chucky Cheese. read more

An awesome, big expansive brewery, this warehouse set-up serves as a perfect setting for an afternoon of beer drinking. Outside the brewery, once you find it tucked away behind a labyrinth of warehouses, is a yummy crepe food truck - something you wouldn't think pairs well with beer, but oh it does. The bartender was nice enough but could've explained the beers a tad more. Considering I didn't directly ask about the beer, you can't blame the guy, but maybe a little more offered knowledge or table menus with detailed explanations of each brew could have been a nice touch. All in all, this is a super nice facility with really delicious scotch ale. read more

Colorado beer! Woot! I had actually gotten a 6pack on a lark a month or so ago of this brewery, we liked it, but when we decided to do a mini arvada brew tour we didn't realize this place was one of them! There were a number of different kinds of beers and i did a taster, vanilla porter, the saison, and the holiday don't pout stout. Mmmm! loved them all and it was a buy 2 6-packs, get 2 free deal of the hef which i already knew we liked, so it was a win win kind of day! We got there about 7 minutes before opening and were not the first in line! hhaha! The location is definitely interesting to find - thank you google map/waze. The large roll up doors, indoor and outdoor seating, close to the highway. All in all, not a bad place, on the way to costco, or just a jaunt down the 70! I'll be back! read more

I don't find myself in Arvada often, but when my SO found out that there was a brewery near his old high school, we had to check it out. The staff are really nice, and the beers are good. I really enjoyed the Scotch Ale. He loved the strong ale. We've enjoyed the hefeweizen at home (a perk of helping them can one afternoon--look on Facebook to hear when they put a call out for help), and so have our friends. They have some fun stuff, like trivia night, board game night, and food trucks. read more

Holiday stout with a real cinnamon stick!?! Yes please! I first tried this place a few weekends ago when a good friend of mine was in town, and we were taking her on a brewery tour of Boulder/Arvada. After stopping at Avery and Fate in Boulder, we trekked back to my neighborhood, Arvada, to check out something closer to home. And, man, am I glad this place is nearby! They have live music every Saturday, and a TV, which is perfect for catching the game during their all day Sunday happy hour. The "Don't Pout" holiday stout is my current favorite, but I think the Hefeweizen will be my go to once it's shelved for the season. I also loved the Saisons (they had two when we visited), the Perpetual Darkness Belgian Black, and the Eye of Ra Strong Ale (go easy on this one ;) read more

I stopped by Odyssey with a friend after work a couple of weeks back. We'd seen the place open up and it finally worked out that we were able to give it a try. Like other brewhouses the atmosphere is modern warehouse, with lots of tables laid out in front of a bar and the brewing equipment on the other side of the room. They offered several varieties of ales, most with European angles. I tried and enjoyed a few different ones, with my favorite probably being the stout. Our bartender was super nice, she offered a couple suggestions to get us started and we explored from there. It seemed like there were a few regulars in the place which helped make for a good overall vibe. They don't serve food but they have deals worked out with food trucks so there's some kind of food there every night. We weren't planning on eating so we didn't get any of the BBQ they had out front the night we were there, but it looked good and lots of other people were eating it up. I will definitely be back for more of their tasty ales! read more

Perhaps I will be the first... Soft openings are fun, hard openings, like today's Grand Opening, a bit more challenging. I am super pleased to see this place just up the road on Sheridan, maybe 10 minutes from my home. The setting: Industrial Park, not a whole lot around, but if Wit's and Strange and Colorado Cider can attest, location does not always matter when it come to the beer aficionado crowd, or even those who live in the are an simply want a close-in place to enjoy a craft brew. The place: Really nice brewing system, much stainless steel and obviously they went to great cost to start big with a 15 BBL system. The tap room, open warehouse, acoustics not so great but it was opening day and very crowded and noisy. The bar, very short, converted to a serving line for today, and there was a line to the door. The brews .. I had two. The Hefe was pretty good, not too intense on the flavor profile - mild banana and clove - but the carbonation was off, much less than expected. In Germany, these beers are carbonated to the 8-9 volumes of C)2 level, and continue to produce bubbles and head as the beer is consumed. The second one, the Black IPA, was also mild. I cannot put my finger on a flavor other than burned malt and bitter, but in very small doses. I really want this place to succeed, and yet, with all the competing craft breweries around, they need to up their game and create beers that become destinations, as they are in an out-of the way location. Three stars increased to four, as an investor in the Denver craft brew industry, I WANT them to do better! read more

This place is awesome! I can see that it would be very easy to settle in here for a couple of hours or even a whole afternoon. I'd heard good things about their beer selection, so we stopped in on Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving and parked it by the open garage doors. We played some cards, and drank some delicious beers. I tried the holiday stout and the perpetual darkness and both were great. If we'd bee in the mood to drink away the afternoon, it would have been easy to do here. The beer prices are reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. I will be back to work my way through the rest of the menu in the very near future! read more

Love their Hefeweizen. This is one of those breweries that is tucked into an industrial complex behind businesses you never know exist until you need them. Glass repair, 4x4 tuning shops, etc. The tap room is nice, and spacious, the bar a bit small which is weird, only maybe 4 seats? I only had a the hefe, I'm not very bold when brewery hopping sometimes, especially if they've got something i know i like. read more

Great local brewery! A great brewery needs to start with great beer, and Odyssey has that down with their core lineup of beers. The Psycho Penguin Vanilla Porter is the perfect example of the style, and a beer I always find myself coming back to. Clan Warrior, their Scotch ale, is super malty and packs a great punch, and their Ghost Drifter pale is a nice, moderately hopped and rereshing brew. I'm not the biggest Hefeweizen fan, but their Heliocentric Hef is such a refreshing beer on a hot day... The atmoshphere here is also great, with friendly staff and a great lineup of food trucks that come through. Inside and outside seating give you nice options and there are plenty of house board games (or you can bring your own, as we often do!) Overall, a great brewery to have in our neck of the woods, but a worthy destination from Denver as well if you are looking for great beers in a laid back, unpretnetious setting.
