Great and relatively affordable Korean prix fixe meal in the city - and not too difficult to get a last min res! I loved having the 4 course structure with multiple options to choose from. We did a few add-ons like the uni/roe dip and chips which was delicious as well.

Early dinner with a good friend checking out this prix fixe menu. The menu looks small, but by the end of the meal you wont be able to fit any more food. The menu changes seasonally, so theres always new to try. Service was attentive and quick. The space itself is nice and clean, but nothing memorable. A few of highlights were the scallops, beef short ribs and branzino dishes. For the price I think it was good value, but not necessarily a menu I would seek out.

From the team behind Ari Ari and Her Name is Han, Odre offers an affordable 4 course prix-fixe menu at $42. I had a good time with their comforting dishes! Started off with their citrus red shrimp naengchae which featured fresh and sweet shrimp with a mix of pomelo, grapefruit and orange. Enjoyed the sweet and savory combo of flavors! The jokpyun was their beef terrine that paired nicely with their buckwheat chips. We added on their hwe muchim which had a mix of uni, scallops, and tuna in a spicy, soy-sauce based sauce with finely diced olives and bright citrus flavors. It came with crunchy seaweed and the ingredients were all really fresh. For the second course, the dried pollock guksoo was ~delicious~! It reminded me of the Cantonese shrimp roe noodles but with an even more pronounced fishy and umami flavors. The noodles were chewy yet firm in texture and the sauce added more umami flavors! I loved how the abalone mandoo included a generous amount of fresh crab. The abalone was tender and the creamy sauce with caviar tied it together nicely. Be sure to enjoy it when its hot and warm! For the third course, the cod jjim was tender and well-seasoned, although similar to other ones I've had in New York. The tteok galbi were presented in the form of patties. They were tender and juicy; paired well with the leeks and veggies. To end it off, the oyster gang-doenjang bibimbap provided a nice spicy kick and a balanced bite of oyster, veggies, and sauce. I didn't find this as impressive as the courses before and I wish the rice was more firm. The seaweed (almost like sea moss) soup was a tad too salty but I liked the flavors. For dessert, the sweet potato cheesecake was very creamy with a mild potato flavor and potato chunks embedded inside. The crust was tasty by itself but it was hard to cut through and separated from the cheesecake immediately. The makgeolli ice cream indeed had a fragrant rice wine flavor in each bite. Staff were polite. We had to wait for our table despite arriving on time. While we awkwardly waited by the bar, we were not offered water, drinks, nor menus. Although branded as "affordable," the portion sizes were quite small and my partner was still hungry (when other tasting menus typically fill him up). Besides the pollock noodle, I'm not sure if anything else blew my mind. I am curious to check out their other seasonal menus nevertheless!

Had this spot recommended to us so gave it a shot. We had a reservation right at opening for dinner on a weekend. We were seated right away and the folks for our tables were all friendly and bright. The food was overall good. Interesting combinations which were nice to try. I will say sometimes the wine pours can be quite quite light at times. The ambiance was nice - dimly lit intimate spot that's good for a date or a night out. But definitely when you factor in the price, the value is pretty good.

Dropped by for dinner at the recommendation of a friend. We both got the prix-fixe menu, which has been updated for fall. We got everything to share so we could each try more dishes. For the first course we got the caesar salad and beef shank naengchae both of which were good, but I thought the caesar salad tasted like your typical chicken salad - not particularly interesting. For the second course we got the perilla sujebi and the jeju bingtteok. It was the first time I had bingtteok (it ended up being sliced buckwheat crepes filled with veggies and beef). I liked the perilla sujebi more - good flavor, slight crunch from the perilla seeds and chew from the noodle and the mushrooms added a lot of earthy flavor. The bingtteok I thought was just ok - a little on the bland side. We got the branzino jjim and duck gui for the third course - both were well cooked and I liked the butter sauce used for the branzino. Finally the last course was the spicy red shrimp jang bibimbap with a cup of clam soup. I'm usually not a huge fan of clams but I enjoyed the soup, and the bibimbap was good as well. I was worried we were still going to be hungry at the end since we didn't order any add-ons but I felt surprising just the right amount of full at the end (but some people might not feel satisfied with the amount of food). Overall it was a fun experience with solid execution at a reasonable price for what you get!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in NYC. Everything from the food to service to ambience was perfect. Ambience: we sat at the bar and were so happy with that decision bc we could see the chef and bar tender make everything in front of us. The restaurant is spacious but fills up fast! Food: we got the pre-fixe menu and it was amazing! Honestly, I loved everything. All the dishes were so perfectly curated and so delicious. Service: I loved our waitress who was also the bar tender. She provided recommendations, was so kind and fun. She made this experience even better

Came here to celebrate my birthday with my friend and absolutely loved the experience - one of my favorite meals in a while! It's a set prixe fixe menu for $42, where you choose one dish from each section. We loved everything we had, especially the galbi, ricotta gochujang jeon, and beef shank with apple and dates. The takju makgeolli from hana makgeolli paired nicely with our meal. Our waitress also gave us a fun grape appetizer and some wine on the house which she drank with us! The space itself is also modern and cozy, and perfect for an intimate dinner. Absolutely loved my experience here and will definitely be back!

Came here on a Monday night for their tasting menu. Service was prompt and professional. All of the dishes were very tasty and I really enjoyed the experience. Best part about this experience was the price! Incredible value for the quality and quantity of ingredients served. They treated me well and I felt lots of warm hospitality throughout the evening. Definitely will be back again soon!

Odre is a newish Korean tasting menu spot from the same folks as Her Name is Han and AriAri, and starts at the affordable $42/pp for 4 courses. Made a reservation for a weeknight dinner, but I saw some walk-ins that had no problem. We came during their version of happy hour, so I tried the Pear Breeze which was super strong and not my style, but worth a try at $13. My friend got the Rice Lager which was also fine. For our dinner we tried the Scallops, Lamb Jeon, Snow Crab Mandoo, Duck, and Galbi. They start you with an Amuse Bouche which was a tiny black sesame tart that was fine, very strong black sesame flavors. Scallops were delish- my favorite bite of the dinner. A bit overpowered but the tomato vinegary sauce, but still delicious. Lamb Jeon was crispy and had a good amount of spiced lamb, very unique. Snow crab mandoo was a bit of a letdown, squash blossom didn't add anything. Duck was tender and fatty- my second favorite dish. Galbi was fine, tasty, some bites were tender while others were a tad tough. Finally they bring out the bapsang, which was a tasty anchovy broth served alongside rice with banchan. I mixed mine all together and honestly it was a great end to the meal. I loved the crispy anchovy in particular. Overall a tasty meal, would probably come back when the menu changes to try some other dishes! Service was pretty good too and the space itself was very minimalistic/industrial modern which was nice.

$42 prie fix menu- simple & elegant fusion-Korean. Love the decor with sotbap and overall, you can have "fine dining experience" with reasonable price. I think they change menu seasonally and I look forward to trying their fall/winter menu as well. Highly recommend if you want to have Korean fine dining experience at reasonable price, i would say the vibe is very similar to atoboy!

I've wanted to try Odre for a while - I'm a big fan of other restaurants from Hand Hospitality Group (e.g., Ariari, Her Name is Han, Atoboy). It's a 4-course prix-fixe meal for $42. It's nice to be able to have a prix-fixe experience at a more affordable price point, but the portion sizes were pretty small and we would've been hungry if we didn't add anything on. We added on another course and dessert so we still spent around $80 per person after tip and tax. I was full after but my friend was still hungry. The meal comes with a free amuse bouche. For the first course, we got the scallop tomato naengchae and kong guk-soo. For the second course, we got the snow crab mandoo and sesame leaf jeon. For the third course, we got the duck gui and the branzino. The fourth course is a seasonal bansang which was bibimbap and soup. We added on the jeyuk and then got watermelon bingsu for dessert. The presentation was nice, but flavor wise I thought everything was just ok and I feel like the execution wasn't always 100% there. For example, the snow crab mandoo sounded interesting and looked pretty, but the squash blossom is just placed on top and there's no other wrapper so it's just loose crab underneath. The 3rd course was probably my favorite flavor wise but like I mentioned earlier the portion wise is pretty small, especially for what's supposed to be considered the main course. Overall, I think the service was good, but the food was just ok and the serving size was small. I'd probably choose one of their other restaurants to go to in the future instead!

Tried almost the entire menu since I came in a party of 3. Some dishes were ok but unfortunately I didn't like most of them :( either the flavor or texture didn't go well in each dish

This modern Korean spot has an affordable prefix menu. It's 4 courses for $42 with options of supplement for an additional cost. It's a good amount of food without the supplements which is nice. The restaurant is sleek and minimalist and the staff were friendly and explained the menu to us. For each course, each person gets to choose their own dish. We picked different ones so we could share and try all the options. The highlights were the scallop tomato naengchae, sesame leaf jeon, and the branzino jjim. Afterwards they served us a bibimbap and a delicious savory soup with cabbage. Everything was beautifully plated. Definitely would have gotten the supplements if I was hungrier. Overall it was a great meal!

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

The pork was tender and had a clean flavor that really let the quality of the meat come out. The kimchi pancake was topped with a poached egg which was interesting.... Personally, the poached egg addition wasn't really for me, but my friend loved it. The pancake itself was crispy flavorful. The chicken kalguksu was exactly what I want when I'm craving comforting and warm food at 11 PM after watching a musical. The broth was light but flavorful, and the noodles had a good chew. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. Cocktails are also great here. Amazing dining experience, food, ambiance, service, and I highly recommend.
