After several years of owning old, troublesome cars, I have to thank my service advisor Woodrow for…read morebeing one of the most knowledgeable people i've met in this industry and getting us back on the road. I saved his business card just to write this. I was roadtripping across the country with my girlfriend from Atlanta to LA in our 16 year old Lexus GS400 to relocate. After driving for more than 4 hours, it would suddenly start bucking with no warning, cutting out, accelerating a bit then stumbling again, making it undriveable. The first time it occurred in Alabama, and the Lexus dealer in Mobile was not able to recreate the issue, sending us on our way after a 120$ diagnosis fee for finding nothing. We made it to Houston through the night without problems, where the leaky valve cover gaskets were changed by a reputable independent Lexus specialist to whom I also explained the other issue, but they didn't even bother diagnosing, changed our gaskets and sent us along. Generally I try to do most of the work myself on our cars but I had to be in LA by the end of the week and didn't have the desire to get greasy on this roadtrip, so I thought it would be quicker to just let a shop take care of it. In the middle of the Texas desert the Lexus starts acting up again in the same manner, and after cooling down a little bit we were able to limp it slowly into Odessa, 30 minutes before closing time, where we were greeted by Stephanie. She was very sweet and helpful, listening to our story and calling Woodrow for us after understanding that the issue was complicated. I tell him the details again and he immediately tells me he suspects the fuel pump. I was hesitant at first because I could have sworn the way it occurred felt like a transmission issue, but he explained that on these older Lexuses the architecture of the pump makes them susceptible to heat when they get old, which is why the problem only manifested itself after at least 4 hours driving. They took it apart right there and then and gave us a ride to a hotel nearby. The next morning he calls me saying they resistance tested the pump and it was indeed bad. He also showed me the long term fuel trims and they were way lean, as well as fuel pressure output being well below standard. After that he was incredibly helpful in sourcing an aftermarket part that met his quality standard (the OEM Lexus part had a very long ordering time, and he didn't install the first pump they received as he didn't feel comfortable with its quality and having to hack wires to make a universal design fit) to get us on the road as quickly as possible, even if it meant unfortunately delaying another day. The following morning we were back on the road and never had any more issues all the way through the desert, and up to this point a month later. It was relieving as an engineer that people like this still exist in the industry, that are knowledgeable about the cars and who apply proper diagnostics before throwing parts at a car, possibly not fixing the issue (as seems to be the case more and more often). Thanks again for putting us in the condition to finish our trip! It wasn't cheap, but I was sure glad a Lexus is nothing but a Toyota in a nice suit so we could utilize your expertise!

I picked up 2 hours later and it rode rough. Pulled over and all lug nuts on passenger front were completely loose (tire was wobbly). Young guy said it was an error, that it wasn't ready. That (1) lug nut was stripped. Took back in, 6/14/25, now they're saying all (20) lug nuts swelled up and need replaced.... They quoted almost $600.00 for parts and labor. I drove to 3 different O'Reilly's to buy them myse Heading to Midland next time... Sorry but not sorry....

I took my car back to this company because I liked the quality repair of my first car. Scot Voight gets a five star for his courtesy. The repair didn't take as long this time. Also the staff at the front desk was much friendlier. The reason for a three star is that it took nearly two weeks for me to get my car back. This place needs more help.

Needless to say they had my car for over two months. And every time they gave us and update, it was always "we are waiting on the parts" or "the parts just arrived and it will be done in less than 2-3 days" but then my car was kept for weeks more. Also after the first month I called and asked why my car still isn't done, we were told days before my car was in the paint shop and would be done by the end of the week, but when we got the new update they informed us it hadn't even been sent to the paint shop yet because more issues were found that we were not even told about. I would never recommend this shop to anyone who actually want to have the vehicle back in a reasonable amount of time.

Don't try and call to get an update, because they don't believe in answering the phones. After showing the guy my car and the problem I was having, he said what he thought it was and stated how I'd have to set an appointment for the diagnostic, and the earliest appointment was Tuesday. He'd also mentioned that because it seems to be an engine problem, they'll need my car for a few days. I agreed, and he set me for an appt for the following tues (it was Saturday) at 8:30 for the diagnostic. So I leave. I take it upon myself to drop my car off with them on Monday evening because I couldn't sit for the 8:30a appointment. Midafternoon and the evening of Tuesday, I'd text their service line for an update, and got nothing. Wednesday I called so many times and got nothing. I finally called the sales dept, and left a message with them to have the service department to call me back. Then I finally get a text an hr later saying that the diagnostic wasn't completed because I had 4 cars ahead of mine. I was like how? You never specified that there was a waiting line, and that was the purpose of the appointment. I complained then, because I had a rental that I was thinking I could turn in after a few days. Then for all of this time to pass by with no notice of any delays. I told my boyfriend and he couldn't believe it neither. So he tried to call them, and again no one answered. After 22 calls they finally answered him. And they told him that the person I'd originally spoken to told me that the appointment was to drop my car off, not to get a diagnostic done. Then I told him that was a lie and explained everything in detail as of who and when I talked to someone. I even explained how they were arguing with another customer right in front of me. Then they promised that we should know something by Thursday, and that they'll take off $50 from my service. Thursday comes, and of course no response or update. Friday the Eric guy finally responds and says that he was out on Thursday which is why he didn't respond to me, but my car was finally up getting the diagnostic done. I didn't get my car until Wednesday, a whole week and a day later. I had to call can extend my rental twice due to not knowing when my car would be finished. This was the shittiest service I've ever experienced, and glad I'm getting rid of my Hyundai.

Brian actually went to a different dealership the day prior to look at a used truck. The salesman there urged him to buy a new truck that was over our budget but told that it was "the best deal" and made to feel like buying a used truck is a bad idea. LUCKILY, my husband had the smarts to walk out. That's when I jumped online and found a WONDERFUL used, below our budget, truck at Sewell. He sent the company some texts expressing interest. After hearing back that the one I found was still available, he went on over to take a look at it and LOVED IT! He said he had a great experience with the salesman! Said he wasn't pushy and was able to give him what he wanted. The one issue he had was that initially he went to the (Regular) Sewell Ford... unaware that there was a separate location for the used vehicles. He said he waited about 35 minutes here before someone even came over to him. Odd because car salesmen usually pounce. (???) That's when he was informed that the used lot was over on 8th street. All in all, we are really happy with our purchase!
