Upon entering this wine warehouse I was greeted by an english speaking gentleman and was informed that I could pay in sterling or euros and all products were labelled in both currencies.There was also a price comparison with the uk and the projected saving. Most of the wine here is not of french origin but from all over the world and is marginally cheaper than in the uk. This is due to a higher tax in the uk and is much the same as an oddbins here except you can pay with euros. Not of any great note read more

I discovered Oddbins in Calais a few years ago and since then it has been my main supplier on my three times a year "booze cruise". I have always found the staff friendly (they all speak excellent English) and helpful and knowledgeable, and the range of wines available for free sampling has always been very good. Most of the wines are good value but the (currently 21) range of 3 for £6 are very good value indeed and are far better than the average low price wines sold in most warehouses in France. Last visit I noticed the wine boxes now stocked were very competitively priced and the sparkling champagne alternatives are always worth trying. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.
