I went online and signed up for the 7 days free promotion. I went in on a Saturday and was greeted by one of the owners, Mark. He was really friendly and upbeat, he even extended my free membership after hearing that the other gym closed. This gym is really clean and seems open/airy. There's no bad smell you sometimes get with gyms (I used to work at one!). Mark gave me a quick tour around. The first thing I noticed is how clean the place is. There's a good variety of machines and weights you can use. They also have a work out room with various exercise equipment and work out videos available. The front area has some lockers where you can store your belongings. I noticed they provide towels and machine wipes too. The other people there seemed friendly and focused on their work outs. The membership is affordable and it's 24 hours, I recommend you give this gym a try! Con: probably the only con I can see right now is because it's a small gym, they only have three single person bathrooms, only two have showers, so if it's busy you may have to wait.

I have been working out with Kyla for several months now and wanted to recommend her to fellow…read moreYelpers. Back in October, I was experiencing some health problems like high weight, high cholesterol, headaches, joint pain, etc. that were becoming a concern. Some health consultant friends suggested going on the "Hunter-Gatherer" diet and getting more exercise instead of my doctor's suggestion of various drugs. I looked for a personal trainer as I knew that I would need one to get a program going properly and stay with it. After interviewing several people, I figured out that I just didn't relate well to the intense, chirpy people or the boot camp, drill instructor types. Also, some of the gyms that I looked at were just not appealing with their crowds, messiness, and/or smells. Then I found Kyla through the JCCSF Pilates Studio (she also works with Bodywork SF). What a breath of calm, fresh air. Kyla is a genuinely nice person whose fitness training is informed by an extensive dance background. She does personal training, nutrition counseling, and Pilates. Her style is to guide and be attentive rather than intense and be gently persistent rather than fierce or in-your-face. A workout with her leaves me feeling centered and calm as well as thoroughly stretched and exercised. It turned out that I needed a combination of Pilates (for flexibility and core strength) and traditional strength training which means that she has to blend several workout styles into the time we have. The JCCSF Pilates Studio has the machines (Pilates and Cable) necessary to do this, but she has also shown me exercises to do at home where we have minimal equipment. The results speak for themselves. In 2 months, I feel much better and am on my way to a toned core and increased strength overall. So far, I have lost 14 lbs and 3" from my waist. My headaches and joint problems are gone. Update: The past 8 months have gone by very quickly as Kyla is always keeping our workouts fresh and interesting. I have now lost 26 lbs and 4" from my waist. If you are looking for a personal trainer who will listen to you, tailor a training program to your needs, and help you attain your goals, then I think that you should talk to Kyla.

Full disclosure: Kyla has been my coworker for many years. She trains at my studio and we still…read morework together. This review is for her knowledge and professionalism as a trainer and Pilates instructor. I used to take her classes when we both worked at the gym together and always enjoyed the challenging exercises delivered in the signature soft spoken Kyla manner...she is a tough instructor, an amazing dancer, and a good trainer...yet she is patient and so pleasant that you forget you are working hard. I have referred several people to her and her classes and would do so again any time!

I live close by so I don't spend a ton of time in the locker room, but have used the sauna and showers before with no issues. Some of the treadmills have been broken awhile, but they have a ton. I spend a majority of my time on the free weights floor. Overall, for around $25 bucks a month with a year long membership I can't complain much. The staff is friendly, the vibes are solid, there's group classes, bikes, basketball court. I get in, get my workout done, get out.

I would be so grateful if that rule could be enforced again-- it's been a major issue lately, and I am leaving a brief visit with hives and a migraine... again. We all pay for the same membership and access. Enjoying one's sauna time doesn't require the use of pungent oils, but as soon as you start using them, people like me are unable to safely enjoy ours. To my fellow gym members, please be considerate of your peers, and to the 24 Hour staff/management, please make some effort to ensure that all members are able to use the space safely! Since I can't answer back, hopefully the management will see the edit: the canned response isn't helpful, nor do I intend to reach out via your website. I just want to hear that you're actually going to enforce the policy that will make the facility safe and accessible to all your members!

Having Noel as a personal trainer has improved my strength and comfortability in the gym. With his guidance and support I have been able to do more physically now than I could in the months before restarting again. The gym itself is unique: Mr. Pickles the security guard, The resident Kitties Lestat, Luis, and Nugget along with some fur gym regulars ( see photos!).
