Really liked this place. It was recommended by a person who worked at UDLAP. I ordered the margarita pizza & loved the thin crust. Flavor was exceptional & it all tasted super fresh. Okay, I will be blunt. My cousin brought my husband and I here to eat for lunch, and I really struggled to be nice and say that I liked it, when in fact I tried. The food was edible. The service was mediocre at best. I noticed after we had left that this is an apparent chain. My cousin has a thing for all things Americanized (unfortunately) including the corporatization of merchants, food, and anything that is corporate mentality related. We ordered a pizza because I couldn't find anything here that spoke authentic Mexican or something unique. What we had was a version of Margarita pizza, but we removed and added something between it and another. Unfortunately, the arugula topping on pizza shouldn't be. My cousin had ordered some appetizer that was just horrible. It was like salami or roast beef in soy sauce, and she said it was supposed to be Korean or something, which is not possible, but anyhow, I have to admit she likes to drink beer and maybe for someone who has one too many this is the place to come to. Overall, the menu had this hodgepodge of frivolity at the expense of trying to be hip. I would like to say that at least eating the pizza here was better than eating the lunch my aunt had made for us the day before. Overall, eating in Mexico has been a treat, so long as they didn't follow American corporate ideas. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food comes out sizzling hot which is good to know that it was freshly made and the taste. The food is well marinated, it's absolutely a must to visit. Because of this location I have gone to another OCHO 30 at a different location and I have to say it was not the same and it was highly disappointing and definitely shows that location matter and although they are the same franchise restaurant, they are not all equal whatsoever. The chicken fettuccine pasta was absolutely amazing and so was the lasagna. I will definitely be back to try the pizza and other options that they have. Also the service was absolutely amazing and impeccable upon asking for a outlet to charge my phone they were so available and readily able to help me. I highly recommend this place to all. read more

I've been coming to Ocho30 for a few years by now. Although the ambience and the venue remain as cute as usual, the quality of the food and service has declined. One of the stars in their menu used to be the "Chingona" salad. With less serrano ham and more dressing every time, this dish has become a mix of greens flooded with balsamic vinegar. In addition, because of how crowded it gets, the service staff is now usually in a bad mood and unwilling to spend time answering questions. Due to the same reason, it's also difficult to enjoy your meal as waiters now rush you to order and, as soon as you're done eating, to leave. To clarify, in Mexico this is considered very rude given that people generally like to stay for a little while sitting around the table talking and relaxing before they leave. read more
