Worst customer service ever! We contracted these guys to install a floor in our lower level, they boasted of how well they did and how well they did on our neighbors floor and to check it out. When I did our neighbor stated that he would like to strangle them and would not let them back in his house. Since we already paid for the materials and would not receive our money back, against our better judgement we went ahead with their service.
Can you say "not a good decision"? They promised they would have the floor remove and the new installed in two days, when I checked back in with them that moved to 5 days! This was important because we were having to rent a Uhaul to store all our living room furniture and I paid by the day. They also promised to send in a "team" of people; I guess their definition of "team" is one! That is what we received....one person to remove the old flooring and one person to install the new! When I called them up to inquire as to whether they would stay to their now 5 day timeline because there was only one person working....they had no idea. One of the owners did then stop out and we had 3 people show up to start working.
The workers also came to the job without a trailer to haul the old debris to the dump. The owner then called me and asked "I notice you have a trailer out there, can we just dump into that"; I stated it was our contractors trailer as we were having other work completed and I would ask. The contractor agreed to let them dump into the trailer with only one request, when he hauled it to the dump they were to send someone to empty it, Oceanside agreed. When it came time for them to empty the trailer our contractor waited and hour and a half for them to send someone (of which he charge me) and when they showed and he confronted them they stated to him "you shouldn't have let us use the trailer"! Very unprofessional considering the workers loaded all of the heavy materials to the front of the trailer and it was full of bottles of urine when there was a bathroom on premises they could have used! To find out this was also a charge that Oceanside did not have in their contract to me and planned to charge me in addition to the more than $5k they charged me already!
When they were finished I found they had over ordered (or estimated) 13 boxes of tiles! When I questioned them and asked if they were going to buy some back the lady owner stated "well you want to have extra on hand"; I stared true...but 2-3 boxes would suffice...13 is robbery (not to mention cost me an additional $1000)! Basically they sold me the tiles at a good price, they made up their money by over ordering and then sticking me with the tiles! On the day I was to pay the final bill the lady owner kept blowing up my phone because she wanted to leave early and then made a trip to my house to collect! I told her I would come up before they closed to pay because I was repairing damage to our walls their workers had caused and the only comment she had was "well I just saved you a trip"! She then had the audacity to look at me and say "the worker that removed the floor said he had to do extra grinding in the one area so he wants another $280...I think that is fair, don't you"? I then asked her to follow me to the door where I pointed out the extra 13 boxes of tiles and I stated, there is your $280 for him!
In addition they were to make us a piece for our countertop in our kitchen made of Corian that THEY (Oceanside), stated they would throw in for free; every time I would ask them about this piece they made an excuse as to why they didn't have it. Once I paid them for the flooring and labor, I have never heard from them again!
Even though we have a nice looking floor; I would NEVER use then again due to their "I don't care attitude" and poor customer service! If I could give them a negative rating I would, they really don't deserve a "1"! Beware and PLEASE do your homework on this company! read more
