Ocean Ridge Hammock Park is located just north of the larger Oceanfront Park. If you are looking for a quieter, more secluded beach experience, this just may be the park for you. That is if you are prepared for a little bit of a hike. Also of note, there are no restrooms or life guards. The parking lot is small here but I didn't have any trouble finding a spot on a Sunday afternoon. Best of all parking is free. There is even a shower so you can rinse off before getting in your car. The parking lot is across the street from the beach so do you have to cross the road to get to it. Once you enter the Atlantic side you walk up a hill through the coastal hammock consisting of sea grape leaves, gumbo limbo, paradise trees, cabbage palms, and ficus. You exit at a boardwalk that takes you down to the 8.54 acre beach where you can stroll, swim, fish, relax, and sunbathe. I love how the city provides buckets you can grab if you want to help with beach clean up. This isn't the kind of beach you want to haul a lot of gear to but if you travel light and want a less crowded experience, Ocean Ridge Hammock is a lovely beach to visit.

I liked my time at Hammock Park much more compared to the neighboring Oceanfront Park. This park is much more secluded and way quieter, as it does not have nearly the large parking lot and the easy accessible entrance, which likely makes it harder for many to enjoy. Just up the road from Oceanfront Park, there is a small parking lot that only holds 20 or so cars. It is paid parking, of course. Cross the street (the cars on A1A are supposed to yield but might not) and then walk through the wonderful beach forest. STAY ON THE PATH! It winds back and forth to climb up the very small ridge and then it opens up with a VOILA! boardwalk that extends through the dunes to the beach. Definitely less intense and less "party" than the other beach, this is where you go to enjoy the beach without noise. There are no restrooms here, there are no concessions here and there are also no lifeguards here. So keep that in mind. I really loved walking through the trees between the roadway and the beach. It reminds me that I need to hike more. [Round number review 14800 overall, 302 of 2021, number 1292 in Florida.]

Great beach area! There is a small parking lot (free) directly across from a shaded entry or there is a paid lot a little further down the way. It was not over crowded, and it was clean. Beautiful spot!

Small and secluded beach area. There is a short walk to the beach that is shaded by lots of trees. The parking lot is a cross street and really small, so there is limited parking. Parking is free because of how tiny the lot is, so be aware that you might not be able to get a spot. The beach is right next to the bigger one that has a restaurant and everything. No bathrooms but there is a small shower to rinse your feet in the parking lot.

This is a great beach to visit because it's quiet, never busy, and has a very unique entrance surrounded by trees. The parking lot is very small and parking is limited, but if you're local you'll get the hang of the best times to go. No lifeguards that I have seen, so if you have children I would stick to the main ocean park. If you're looking for a nice private little beach to relax on for a few hours, give it a shot! Also, there is a misconception that you are allowed to bring your dogs because for years locals would sneak their pups on. Although it is free and seems like it isn't closely monitored , they will kick you off the beach if you try to bring your pooch! They also give hefty fines so if you want to bring Fido, I suggest the doggie beach in Jupiter!

Beautiful beach. It could be quite a trek to get to the shore from the parking lot though (You have to cross the street). There are also showers in the parking lot which is helpful. This park is not too busy but not that secluded as well. But you will for sure find a empty spot to relax on.

Amazing spot for a relaxing time at the beach. Parking it isn´t an issue like any others parks around the area. New favorite spot for the beach in Palm Beach county

Nice little park that has a boardwalk that leads to the beach. Seems like a quiet area?

What is left of it makes for cramped seating unless you are willing to walk, which we did, but had we been with our in-laws it would not have been that easy. Also the stairs and walking path seems as if they are falling apart. Need some remediation and a good paint job. Positives are still showers and restrooms. And easy metered parking right across the street. Very sad to see.

I get that someone needs to be here to open it but this was a disappointment. Once I did find a spot to park, it was a nice walk through the mangroves and along the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. I found a seat, probably trespassing from one of the communities but the chair was comfy. With my coffee in hand, I was here for over an hour as the Sun slowly came over the horizon. I was undisturbed. Other beachgoers walking back and forth but folks seemed to get my vibe and did not approach. There is a beached sailboat here since December. Maybe it's still here when you visit. It made for some fun photos. There is a bathroom facility and a beach shower and a picnic pavilion. Parking across the street requires feeding a meter. Don't forget that. The parking is limited and on what could be a busy road, but whenever I have gone on a weekday morning, the traffic is little, with plenty of spaces and plenty of time to make a u turn to get into a spot. App parking makes it easy. The distance from the sidewalk to the ocean is pretty long, and right now there has been dredging and there is a large shelf separating the shoreline from the sandy beach. So glad this pull up and beach park exists!

It took forever for us to find parking, so we ended up doing valet near this beach. I was sunburnt from the day before so was on a quest to find an umbrella to rent. Thankfully, Oceanside rentals came in clutch with a $32 umbrella only all day rental. We liked this beach a lot because of the calm water. We also appreciated that there was less seaweed and calmer water than Boynton Beach's Ocean Front Beach Park. The surrounding green was gorgeous. Where we entered there was a giant pipe though that smelled a little like cigars, but we sat far enough away for it not too bother us too much. If you don't mind walking a bit for parking, this beach is a great pick.

On my recent visit, there were so many wood storks nesting!! I spotted babies peeking out of nests, along with adults perched on eggs. It felt like stepping into a real-life nature documentary. Beyond the storks, I also saw a marsh rabbit, anhingas, several types of ducks, and even a Great Blue Heron just casually doing its thing. What makes this spot even cooler is that the wetlands are man-made, but they've become a thriving ecosystem--proof that nature finds a way when given the chance. It's free to visit, and there's plenty of parking. Even when it looks full, just be patient--spots open up quickly with people coming and going. Definitely wear a hat, bring water, and don't forget your camera--you'll want it. If you live in or are visiting Palm Beach County, this is 100% worth checking out.
