Horrible and dysfunctional service! We took the ferry from Bohol to Cebu, in order to make a flight out of the Cebu International Airport, and it was a circus at the Ocean Jet ticket counter.
Apparently there are three different sections, but you would never tell because mobs of people were merging and cutting into other lines. All of a sudden one person would be at the window to buy a ticket and then someone from another line would immediately push their way to the window, cutting all the people in that line or someone at the window would just buy a bunch of tickets for people waiting in other lines. It was horrible. To make matters worst, once you buy your ticket, you have to get in a different line for a confirmation ticket THEN you have to get in another line to get your baggage tickets. WTF?! You make people line up in three different lines for something that can be done in one transaction?
There are three different areas that you can sit in: business class, open-air and general seating. General seating was sold out by the time we got to the ticket window since, ya know, everyone was cutting in front of us, so we sat in open-air which is at the top of the ferry. Seating is a little narrow, but it's fine. They do play a movie, but the TV screen is small and you can't heard the audio well. We arrived at Cebu later than anticipated, so expect a delay.
Until Ocean Jet fixes how they manage ticket sales and the set-up then I can't see how this could be recommended over other ferries. read more
