BEWARE of Bonita's Construction, manging units at Ocean Dream Hotel/Condo. My family fully prepaid for Ocean Dream Hotel/Condo Units 509 (studio) and M2-4 (2 bedrooms) from July 9-15, 2017 with Bonitas Construction (private condo owner/manager). 25 days prior to my scheduled arrival, Bonita's Construction abruptly cancelled and refunded my money (our email history follows). Upon receipt of the PayPal notice I replied with a frantic email "no, no, please ask the Owner to contact me. On June 21st Azuljazmin Nt sent an email stating "Hi Muriel, Sorry about that. We don't believe our properties are a good fit for you. Both refunds have been sent back for you to find a better unit. Great day..
January 26, 2017 - deposit made on Units 509 and M2-4. Please note that I found the units via VRBO, but Bonita's Construction intentionally circumvented the VRBO process and instructed me to pay via PayPal.
March 8, 2017 - concerned about TripAdvisor reviews I inquired about renovations and received a reply from Jenna "There is no renovations going on as it is all completed."
March 8, 2017 - paid balance in full for both units.
May 9, 2017 - sent an email to Jenna with a list of property/area questions and received response "There is no washer or dryer in 509. There is a washer in 2-4 but I've been notified that the dryer is no longer? I always have been told it is a 2 in 1 machine so I'll have to double check.
May 16, 2017 - sent an email to Jessica with the same list of questions I previously sent to Jenna. Again, inquiring about the status of a washer & dryer being available (repaired). I stressed the importance of having a working washer/dryer in at least one of the condo units. I asked that either she or the owner get back to me.
May 29, 2017 - Jessica replied - Studio Unit 509? ( no there is not) and M2-4 on the 2nd floor - (we do not have a drayer any more only washer)
May 31, 2017 - I replied to Jessica - As of today, May 31st the unit is advertised in print and with a photo that a washer/dryer is available. I questioned why it's so challenging to repair or replace a dryer given that it hasn't been fully operational since April?? I do hope the Owner considers this future guests needs and is willing to ensure we have use of all property amenities, to include a working dryer as advertised. June 14, 2017 - email to Jessica - I hope you are well! I am following up as I have not heard from you or the owner regarding the status of the dryer repair (please see below email sharing why the need for a dryer is important (unit is currently advertised as having a dryer).

Fortunately for my family, I found another property in the premier section of the Hotel Zone, both 2 bedroom units (more space) and saved nearly $800.00! Yay for me. read more
