Situated directly opposite the sea-front, you can hear the waves crashing while enjoying your food in the patio and large conservatory-style area at the front of the building. With the building extended frontward in this manner there's a great view through all the glass windows, however it gets very, very hot like a green house - good job all the windows open.
The interior design is interesting too, with the walls adorned with various marine related artefacts and decorations.
If you're considering the Ocean Deck, I'd highly recommend going on the Sunday for the Carvery. Booking in advance is key, and be prepared for it to get rather busy, but the price and quality of the food makes it all worthwhile. With three or four different meats on offer, we usually have single slice of each, there's one member of staff that had make a sarcastic comment once or twice at this request, but it's a very standard request at carveries nationwide, and everyone else is very friendly.
Delicious Yorkshire puds too! read more
