So, I know giving 4 stars to a strip mall on steroids is pretty damning, like a respected food…read morecritic saying his favorite restaurant is IHOP, but hear me out. If you're a local, the selection at this mall is pretty good. It's not the same scale or quality as the giant mall in Brno, but hey, it's Zlin so take it for what (and where) it is. The shops here are mostly unknown to Americans but that doesn't matter because if you're traveling, the only reason you'd come here is to buy groceries, exchange some money, and buy the clothings and toiletries that TSA threw away or you forgot to pack. I like it here because it's easy and not too big and there's and Illy cafe smack in the middle of the property. The service is never friendly but it's always accurate and the coffee, ice cream, and desserts are always pleasant. Note: If you don't like Illy and prefer Segafredo (which is what we have at home), then go to the McD's in the neighboring suite. They serve Segafredo in the McCafe. The mall itself has almost everything you'd need but not necessarily everything you want. There are multiple sporting goods stores, furniture and housewares including large appliances, a pharmacy/drug store type spot with skin care and medicine, tobacco, clothing, lots of clothings, and shoes. You also have a very large Billa for groceries which is actually my favourite shop in the whole mall second to the Illy Cafe. There's an Obi which is comparable to Home Depot (not Lowe's). You have a very limited food court which offers the Czech version of Panda Express (awful no matter what country you're in), a basic bakery, a little sandwich counter (pre-made) with smoothies (made to order), the McD's, and again, the cafe in the middle. Outside options for food are limited to a single "restaurant": KFC. No, it's not different or better than in the US (unlike in Asia). It's the same degraded mutant protein you'd expect to find in the States. Pass. On the far ends you'll find larger homegoods stores and lots of extra parking. Across the road is a Macro, Czech version of Costco. Unfortunately, you can't get a membership there unless you're a business owner, so oh well. No idea if anyone who bothers reading this review will ever find themselves in Centro Zlin (or Zlin for that matter) but if you do, it means you're looking for something to do while killing time in the industrial city. So though you might not be entertained, you will be occupied, even if for just an hour or so. Thanks for reading.
