I want to give a shout-out to Erik, one of the physical therapists here. If you know him, you probably know who I'm talking about -- he's the tall one with the wavy hair and glasses who always has a smile on his face. I had my PT appointments at 8:00 a.m. twice a week, and Erik was always on time and ready to help. There were even mornings when he was the one making sure things got organized and calling patients in so therapy could start. During my recovery from knee replacement, I worked with different people, including students, but whenever Erik was the therapist helping me, I always felt I was in good hands. He listens, explains things well, and has such a positive attitude. Even when recovery was frustrating, his encouragement and kindness made a difference. You can tell Erik really cares about his patients and takes pride in what he does. He is a great therapist and deserves to be recognized. I had a nagging shoulder injury from playing tennis and was referred to OC Rehab. The quality of care here is amazing. The therapist was very thorough in my evaluation and quickly came up with a treatment plan . The staff was very professional and personable. I give this place 0 star if I can. Very very bad experience. First, front desk is HORRIBLE. Service so bad, no respect, no smile, act like don't care. Julia the therapist also terrible. I only see her maybe 5 minutes only. Very fast, no explain good, no care. When she check my back, she say pain because I overweight. That make me feel very bad and not professional. Don't expect any level of professionalism or even anybody introducing themselves before they start touching you and asking you questions Elderly mom went in for pain and the way Brian rushed through "teaching her the exercise" aka giving her the paper and not giving her time to even do the exercise only to hurry back to his conversation about someone's boyfriend. The front desk staff are rude to patients. I wonder if the company that hires them has any guidelines on how to talk to and serve them? They don't call patients to remind them that they have an appointment a day in advance. When patients ask questions they respond in a rude manner. We have never seen an office as bad as OC Rehab. This place has no business doing physical therapy. From the person working the front desk to most of the staff they don't seem to care. I went in for my left shoulder and half the time the therapist that talked to me didn't know which shoulder we were working on. They start you on an exercise, set the timer and don't come back or talk to you until the timer goes off and then it's another person that comes back and starts you on something else. They gave me nothing to work at home between visits. I asked at the end of visits if I should be working on anything at home and all they would say is same thing I work on here. I was scheduled for 8 sessions once a week and I scheduled them on my first visit for the same day and time each week. On my 7th visit the front desk person asked if I could come the next day for my last appointment because my referral ended on Saturday and I could come in after that. I asked why they didn't tell me that sooner and all she did was shrug her shoulders. So I lost 1 session. Most of the people don't seem to care about out patients. They are usually all standing around a table in the middle of the room talking and looking at the terminal that's on the desk. I would not recommend OC Rehab to anyone. I feel I wasted 7 weeks with no improvement to my shoulder. read more

Some staff are more friendly than others. My main gripe is that I was locked in the office because Victor didnt check the bathroom before he left. When I told him about it he said, next time I'll check that. NO empathy or apology. I received a "form letter" when I emailed a complaint to them. No empathy or apology either. Victor and OC rehab are absolutely the BEST!! I was concerned about therapy after my knee replacement due to a bad experience I recently had for my shoulder at another PT place in Los Alamitos. Several staff were good at the Los Al establishment but I questioned the limitations of the care I was receiving and was met with negativity by a lead therapist. When I mentioned that I wasn't having a very positive experience to the owner in attempt to find a solution, I was shamed and blamed and told if I didn't love them it must be me because everyone else loves them! I am SO happy I gave OC Rehab a try. My intake appointment was professional and positive and they listened to my concerns. They did what professionals who care about their clients do, they assured me I would be in good hands and they were right. Victor is incredible, skilled, patient, supportive, attentive, thorough - motivating me to achieve a strong recovery. My surgeon is thrilled that I am surpassing my goals. The owner of the poor place in Los Alamitos told me knee PT would hurt and I would be crying in pain and if I didn't like their service it was because "you get out of it what you put in".....well I must be putting in a lot at OC Rehab because there has been no intense pain, no crying, only a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. The staff at OC Rehab work together and demonstrate positive energy. I couldn't be happier and would drive the distance anytime for this quality experience. Knee replacement #2 is soon and I can't wait to come back to work with Victor and team. read more

Not very please with the front office/receptionist gal (short one who does the appt scheduling) at this location. My elderly mother has been coming here for physical therapy. Her very first visit was already an issue as her English is very limited and was asked to fill her application on an iPad. My mother asked for help from the front desk gal, and she said, "I can not help you, I have other patients to help." Wow, really? That's the first impression you're giving? What happened to customer service? So unprofessional and rude! Then we called numerous times within 2 days all throughout the day so we can schedule future appointments and no answer!! read more

OC Rehab was the first place to make me confident getting back on my feet . Jimmy is the most determined to make sure that I got out of my walking boot ASAP . He's taken his time to really listen to all my health concerns prior to his expertise previously as a RN. He has made sure in every way possible to listen and proceed with care and caution . He's very confident within me and that's the best thing I can ask for . Tuesdays / Thursday's are my favorite days of my whole week . This location on Wyoming is not recommended. Staff here demonstrated poor customer service and were unprofessional incompetent and rude. The front reception staff (female) was on the phone for over 10 mins, saw my mom standing there waiting yet not once put her phone down to see if my mom needed any assistance. The other staff stood around talking to each other and not once offered any help. All she wanted was to schedule follow appt. Except for the Caucasian male therapist who was polite, diligent and was doing his job; the rest, one was watching TV instead of engaging in his work, the other male therapist gave my mom very brief instruction what she needed to do (10 set of this, of that) and left the room without showing her how to do it, or she was doing it correctly, or checking in on her. She is only a few session in and will not return. read more

Came into this location for rehab after having acl surgery. Started off at a 30 degree knee bend and w the help of Jimmy&co I was able to bend my knee all the way up to 115 degrees after 5 weeks ! I'm going to start off by saying I've done physical therapy at a few places in my life but OC Rehab is the best place I've ever been. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, make sure to show you the correct way to do exercises and make you feel right at home. I had ACL and meniscus surgery this past October and it was a rough road before I started PT as I tore my meniscus again. I started PT regardless of the tear because I needed to strengthen my ACL before fixing my meniscus again. Jimmy, Vinh, Kierra, and all the other staff that helped me throughout my recovery were amazing and gave me the right push to get through my workouts. They added extra exercises every session and kept me on my toes. They are very personable and make sure to get to know you as a person. I am currently back with them as I had a back injury before I had knee surgery and it recently got worse. They again have taken the time to show me everything I need to get stronger and feeling better. Thank you to all the staff for making this such an amazing experience during my PT. read more
