I don't remember how I found Dr. Sophie's place, but she has been a lifesaver! Over ten years ago, I had laser resurfacing treatments and started using the Obagi products sold at the spa. No more discolorations, much smaller pores, no more scars! You would never even know that I once suffered with spots on every inch of my face. In fact, I get quite a few compliments on my skin now (at 50)--THANKS TO DR. SOPHIE!! I am currently seeing Dr. Sophie for laser removal of a very poor decision--a tattoo on my lips. I asked for a natural color, similar to my own lips, just a little darker. She put coral on me!! I told her I didn't like it; her solution was to apply purple, since purple is the opposite of orange on the color wheel, her reasoning was that it would cancel out. Well, I ended up looking gothic!! I then went to another woman to try to get that remedied. She scarred me quite badly from digging too deep and went outside my lipline. Ugh!! I then went to another woman who decided to just "even out" the places where the last woman went outside the lines. Needless to say, my lips were atrocious and clown like. I have had five Co2 laser treatments with Dr. Sophie and I am finally recognizing my own face again. We still have a few more to go to get all of the color out. Then we will move on to some steroid injections to get rid of the scars from that second technician. I tell you all of this not for sympathy, but to convey Dr. Sophie's ability and patience to help with just about any cosmetic situation that a person could possibly have. And that brings me to my most important point: Dr. Sophie is such a caring, kind soul. She really cares about the people that come to see her. Over the years, I have watched her interact with her staff and clients and she consistently goes above and beyond for every single person that walks through her doors. Dr. Sophie's right hand, Nicole, is lovely in her own right as well. Nicole runs the office and also goes the extra mile for clients. I needed product and couldn't get to the spa and Nicole was kind enough to mail it to me. You just don't see these kinds of personal touches at every spa. I always feel great after going to Sofia's. If you are looking for a trustworthy, friendly med spa, you will love Sofia's in Frankfort!

I was initially referred for a facial mole that had begun to change. Mary Kate also found a couple of other suspicious moles, and she was able to remove all 3 during my initial visit which was an awesome time saver. She thoroughly explained the procedure, answered all of my questions, discussed after care, provided some gauze and petroleum jelly for the road, and provided a sheet of aftercare instructions showing what to expect in the coming days. Contrarily, "best practices" as it relates to running a business aren't as adamantly followed. I paid $300+ for a Groupon deal: Six Sessions on a Large Area. During my first visit, I learned that the "large areas" spelled out on Groupon weren't quite right, & that I would have to cough up ANOTHER $100 EACH SESSION to cover a "larger" area (STILL NOT THE FULL AREA). My $300 "deal" just skyrocketed into a $1,000 hole in my pocket. I grudgingly paid the surcharge to just get it over with, & tipped $20+ for each 10-minute visit, because that's what thoughtful customers do. Unfortunately the thoughtfulness is only a one-way street at Take It Off! Spa: there's a $75 rescheduling fee (regardless of how far in advance you notify). Mind you, Raquel has same-day cancelled my appointment & I happily accommodated a new time, where I ended up waiting 20+ minutes in the building lobby for her to show up. Organization isn't a strong suit, as evidenced through the slapdash rescheduling & more importantly, as evidenced through Raquel's management (or lack thereof) of her calendar. She didn't correctly jot down my next appointment time, & had no idea that I was showing up when I was SCHEDULED TO show up. On top of that, she didn't hesitate to charge me $75 should I opt to reschedule.
