There are so many great places where you can get fantastic service. Obi is just not one of them.
I was looking to purchase a few small pot of flowers and - okay - I walked in 30 minutes before they were going to close. I asked the ladies at the front if they could give me change (so I could get a cart), to which they replied no. After hearing me curse to my boyfriend quietly they asked if I needed it for a cart and so they handed me an Obi chip.
I picked up a few pots of flowers and shortly thereafter 2 - 3 employees escorted me to the cashier service. There, another 10 - 12 Obi employees sat in their chair and watched customers wait in line to pay. You need to get this image in your head: you are the manager of a store with 10-12 employees who are sitting on their butt looking at customers, while the customers are waiting in a long line to pay. Buying flowers is generally a happy, positive, fun experience. Obi ruined it for me. read more
