I have been going to this laundromat since around the time they opened, maybe a month or so after they opened. It was just an emergency stop the first time, because I had my usual that I would go to. The owner (shyann or Sianne) happened to be there to welcome me on my first visit. She explained to me how I had just missed the free wash and dry week for the grand opening. I had small talk with the owner and told her my normal spot to wash & dry & she literally convinced me that her establishment was better, cleaner, & cheaper. I told her that the prices where I normally go is actually a couple dollars cheaper for the same big washers.. long story shorter, I made this my new home to do laundry, or so I thought. I loved all of the staff because they were so nice and helpful, and all except one employee would come out & help bring my laundry inside without me even having to ask for help. They were too kind. Fast forward to 10/14/2019 I came to wash and dry as I did twice a week for months!! I have always used the 2 biggest washers in the front and the next biggest one next to those. So 3 washers total each and every time. On this particular day, 10/14, my washers along with another customer's washer was not washing correctly. There was barely any water inside and no suds whatsoever. So we called the employee Cynthia over to check it out and she even said oh wow, yes something isn't right, they're not getting washed. So she offered a refund or a free wash for each one that wasn't washing. I already felt really bad that day and couldn't stay a couple more hours to rewash 3 huge loads of clothes. But the other customer got a different washer and Cynthia stood there to make sure they would wash. She did give us the number of the owner to let her know the issue & the other customer dialed her first & I dialed her 2nd. She advised for Cynthia to write out me a Raincheck Voucher for 3 free washes to do by 10/20. That day when I left the laundromat, I was admitted to the hospital. I was very weak & dehydrated. Even on my SICK BED, I had the courtesy to call Oasis laundromat to inform them of what was going on & I spoke with an employee named Julianna. She was very understanding and said no problem, I will extend your voucher for 1 more week and I hope you feel better. She was so polite on the phone. About 10 minutes later, I received a call from a Texas phone number. I answered and it was the owner Sianne, I repeated to her my situation, in which was out of my control, she explained to me that yes it is her business but she cannot break her policies. She went on to say that if I cannot come in by tomorrow 10/20 that the voucher would be void & she cannot honor it. She said that I can send a friend or family member and I told her that I really don't have friends or family in the area besides my children & they are minors. After repeating herself multiple times about me having to be there by the next day, I said ok so when I find someone to come in for me I will call you back to let you know the name of the person because I don't want my 3 free washes to go to waste. She then proceeds to say, "no, only you can come in"! I said ma'am, you JUST said I can send a friend or family member, did you not? She said ok but they need the physical coupon (voucher). I said ma'am the voucher is at my home, she said well they need that. I'm like even tho you are speaking to me right now and know my situation? She didn't care! So she finally said if you come by tomorrow I will just take my own money out of my pocket and give you a free wash but this is the only time I can do this. Remind you that I wasn't the only one that had an issue with the washers this day and the employee Cynthia said she was a witness because she saw this. So ironically on 10/20 I am still very weak and sick but I managed to go. I told Cynthia why I was there, she remembered the voucher and said ok cool. I unloaded the car (which was hard), Cynthia made a call, the owner said SHE WILL NOT HONOR THE COUPON BECAUSE I GAVE HER A BAD RATING WHICH WAS 1 STAR. She retaliated. read more
