I've been sucked into it. I dislike it. I used to drive this route between Rochester, MN and Winnipeg without a GPS. Without a paper map. I ignored my phone. I went with exit signs telling me that this Holiday gas station was next. I went with it. This Holiday gas station is off I-94. It was straightforward pulling into the station and finding an available gas pump. The fuel cap was on the passenger side. I inserted my Canadian credit card at the pump. Holiday gas stations are kind to Canadians. I didn't need to enter my ZIP code. Yay! I fuelled. It came out to $28.28. I liked it. Done! If you are a Cub Foods rewards member, you can enter your phone number associated with it to earn points at any Holiday gas station. I oddly haven't shopped at Cub. I should at least get the rewards card. I've been to Holiday a few times now. What was charming about stopping here was pumping gas to Joy to the World by Three Dog Night. It was cheerful and uplifting. It felt like I was at church, but on a Tuesday afternoon. This gas station was clean. I had a great experience. I'd drop by again when I'm in the area and my vehicle needs gas. Ditching looking at my Waze app was freeing. Joy to you and me. (83)

How then can a gas station stand out above the rest, restrooms. Yes, I'm a firm believer that we stop to fill one tank and empty another. The restrooms here were spacious, clean, well-stocked & offered user friendly, environmentally friendly & more sanitary options - like both a no-touch paper towel dispenser and a no touch air dryer, hands free door opener & I truly appreciated the switch to flip for restroom service- no need to track down staff. Side note, they were readily available tho. There's a car wash on site, large selection of food/drinks/auto care & clearance rack for thifty souls. The lot was easy to access & had ample parking.

I can't understand why the life of me that people in New Orleans can't drive and are such horrible drivers. I mean, aside from New Jersey and New York drivers, New Orleans drivers are just awful. I think it has something to do with the cities that begin with "New" lol. Needed to rant on that for a minute. So, I love Petro's because their staff are exceptionally friendly just like some Love's Travel Shops. I went here to get a few beverages after a 2.5 hour drive from Minneapolis and the credit card machine was broken. The cashier allowed me to take the drinks due to the machine was not working and I thanked him kindly. I would recommend folks visit here just for a good friendly customer experience.

I ordered 40 pieces broasted chicken. The price was very fair and my order was ready in 15 minutes. Evidently I brought too much, but the recipients loved it so much that they froze some, then warmed it in the oven and even as a leftover they told me it was the best chicken they ever had! The building is newer, clean, and well lit, so don't take my next comment the wrong way, but when you head off to the rest room, past the fishing lures and rubber waders, you can peek into the bait tanks full of shiners and chubs. You can't do that at McDonald's, unless you're in your truck at the drive through. It's a great place to eavesdrop on the conversations of local farmers and trades people, swapping stories of hunting dogs and honey-do chores abandoned for more noble pursuits, like fishing. In the height of summer, the folks from the Cities come to air out their $400,000 cabins, and they bring down the tone of the place with their dissolute teens staring glumly at their own knuckles as the adults discuss golf and office politics. For those of you roadtrippers looking for Minnesota adventure: go. Visit the giant foot statue, or the giant cockroach on a pliers statue. Or the green alien statue. This place rivals, or maybe is the out-state Minnesota response to, Minneapolis' Walker sculpture garden. Oh, yeah, and pancakes.

After stopping by a couple of places in Moorhead, I looked for a gas station. I ended up in Dilworth, just east of Moorhead. I spotted this Petro Serve USA gas station. It was bright and cheerful from the road. I pulled in and found an available gas pump. What's interesting about this station is that the gas pumps are labelled Marathon. The convenience store and overall name of the station is Petro Serve USA. It turns out that Petro Serve USA is a diversified cooperative that was founded in Moorhead in 1934. It has stores in Minnesota and North Dakota. As far as gas goes, Petro Serve USA convenience stores pair up with Cenex, Marathon, and Petro Serve USA-branded petroleum products. When it says that it diversifies, this business isn't kidding! I fuelled my vehicle and paid with a credit card at the gas pump. I had no issues using a Canadian credit card. The transaction was smooth. I wanted to check out the convenience store. I walked in. I saw snacks from cheese curds to pepperoni sticks. I was still full from lunch, but it was nice to browse. I saw drinks. I could use one. There was an A&W deal where I could get two drinks for $4. I got zero sugar root beer and cream soda. Sadly, the latter didn't come in sugar-free. I love cream soda that I went all in with the regular version. The woman at the checkout was extremely nice. I paid with my credit card. No issues. She wished me a nice day. I reciprocated and left with my refreshments. I drank the cream soda as I continued my road trip. It hit the spot. It was cold, fizzy, and refreshing. It was the perfect pick-me-up beverage. I had the root beer in my hotel room. I had to put it in the mini fridge. The root beer was yummy when I was ready to consume it. It was cold and perfect. I'm glad that I got to fuel my vehicle and get drinks at this gas station. I had a great experience. I'd return when I'm in the area. (6)

I used the Petro Serve USA car wash in Dilworth on 7/13/21. Something in the car wash punctured…read moreor cut my tire, causing it to go flat. My Tire had a cut in the sidewall, which required a new tire costing $224.97. Petro Serve representative, Jennifer C., concluded it was my fault for driving too close to the right "guardrail". There is nothing on the floor to tell you where your car should be parked in the wash bay; for example lines on the floor like a parking stall.
