Do not mix it up with Mercado de Coyoacán (an actual market with cultural goods and local eats). This is an ultra high-end mall with some really cool statues and art sculptures, fancy departments stores, some nice restaurants, toy stores, clothing stores, and more. It's multi-level and semi-outdoors in some areas. Some high end stores here included Cartier and Hugo Boss. The bad: We came to this mall by accident at first because our Uber driver took us to the wrong spot. We ended up browsing it anyway before going to our actual destination. The interesting: Plaza Centro Coyoacán was the old name but they closed a few years back and are now called Mitikah.

I was able to pick up some items that I had been looking for for a long time. Every dish I tried was amazing and only made me sad that it will be difficult to get this exact flavor profile back home. My first time in this store today and my initial impression was "how unique". After spending more…read moretime than I should, I soon discovered that this store is an actual destination. There are four complete levels of uniqueness. To call this place a department store would be the understatement of the year. First of all, they have probably every name brand under the sun. Also there is an tire third floor level filled with every type of electronic device and every type of b brand. There is a barber shop, a huge full service bar, and I saw at least one cafe on the first level. Then the top level features maybe 20 - 30 restaurants of all the different types of foods that you could want. This store? One could easily drop their entire paycheck then some! I was here checking out everything for over an hour and a half. With a few left before Christmas, I ended up purchasing a Epsilon winter jacket and a North Face t-shirt for my boyfriend. The prices were slightly elevated which I believe was due to the import expenses for many of these brands. I've never been to a store/destination with quite the same enormity and I will absolutely come back. With more money!
