Initially I was a little concerned as the salon looked a little run down compared to the ones i've previously been to. However I was impressed by the price and general quality of my cut and dry. I would have rated it higher, however on two occasions I have felt that the hairdresser I've spoken to had a real attitude. To be frank she was uncomfortable to deal with and a little abrasive. In saying that I tend to make last minute bookings. It is on a busy road with parking available at the nearby Coles. If you're looking for a nice cut on a budget, give it a shot.

I was devastated when the beauty salon just around the corner from my house closed. I was right about the last one but wrong about the first two. I pessimistically began searching and randomly came across this business. I was in love with their price list so I called and made a booking. This lady was amazing, incredibly fast and even more thorough. It is located at her house (I guess it's her house), which intimidated me a little at first. But once I walked up the stairs towards the front door I discovered a neat little studio off to one side, entirely separate from the house and very professionally set up. She also had a TV to distract me from the pain she was inflicting. Along with waxing every part of a woman's body imaginable, she does men's waxing, spray tans and even teeth whitening. There are Happy Hour specials midweek as well.

But at Aria, which I found out about through a friend's recommendation, I decided to give it a shot. This Japanese hair salon is in the CBD and keeps their clients happy and their hairdressers relatively busy. I've now been there twice: each visit with a different hairdresser and have come out a happy camper. The second time around, I knew I could just pick up one of the magazines and point at it and let the stylist know what I was looking for. Taka, who is a manager stylist and unfortunately has moved up to Brisbane, takes great care when snipping away. You're definitely safer off with a manager stylist, which is worth the extra cost as the prices there are rather wallet-friendly. Customer service there is fantastic! It probably has a lot to do with the (Japanese) culture but from the point of entering ("Konichiwa!!") until when they see you off at the door, they're there mindfully doing their job well. Also, they've got promos like "happy hour" where it's 20% off M-F before noon and others that are released through their newsletters, as well as others like friend referrals. I highly recommend Aria salon if you're looking to get a good haircut, at great value, and fabulous service!

The rooms are neat and comfortable and relaxing music plays from the speakers. I've only ever had eyebrow waxing done here, but they offer massages, haircuts, tanning, and a menu of other beauty treatments. Totovoco's prices are very fair, and you definitely get your money's worth. The availability of appointments can be a bit unpredictable - sometimes you can phone and get an appointment almost straight away, other days they'll have no openings at all. Totovoco offers mens haircuts and treatments, too, but to be honest I've never seen a man in here so guys be aware that you might be the only male on the premises. As far as beauty salons go, Totovoco offers friendly service and great prices and is an excellent option if you're after a bit of pampering.

I've been coming here for several years as my previous hairdresser really didn't invest too much energy and she knew I'd keep coming back. So, I gave her the flick and came here and haven't looked back. Always a happy experience and I find them reasonably priced. Massage chairs at the basin are an added bonus.

Newly refurbished in the new section of the ground floor of the Wintergarden, right next to Jurlique just a convenience I like. Try the Signature facial which is just under 2 hours long, includes a hot stone massage as well as a head, neck and shoulder, feet and arm massage... they have you pretty well covered here. The prices are high end here, not as high as Ella Bache, and the down part is, they do like to spruke products a lot which I hate. Always a pleasure when I leave and you get points Everytime you visit which convert into dollars off your next visit. Am a happy regular here and proud. Tip: book your appointment in advance and if your have crazy brows, they do a mean eyebrow shape too.

The price, the service and the general way they handled a first-time customer was great. First of all, if you're into guitar-driven indie music, then this barber shop is for you. The music they had on the background was awesome and it definitely made me feel at home. They are busy so it's recommended you make an appointment, but in doing so, ensure you get yourself there on time so you don't have to wait. The staff are usually two or three people tops so you can muck about. They did a wash and a cut for about $35 and they didn't push any product on me, which was great. They handled themselves very professionally and I felt that I was in good hands from the get go. A great barber and reasonably priced. Check em out.
