Second field trip with our high school seniors…read more A new Applied Technology building is under construction which will house their automotive and aeronautics classes. For the second time I missed the Culinary Arts dining. Hopefully I get to experience this ! Campus grounds are kept clean. Cafeteria serves decent menu choice of hot sandwiches snd snacks. I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich... I was so famished from the tour that I was able to finish the whole sandwich with a side of fries. I also had the chance to visit the campus store and purchased a college shirt. We visited the Art Gallery and HighTech Center providing student accessibility services. Students got brochures on the field of their interest. We were toured at the automotive and aeronautics shops. They are waiting for you! Yes you.

Victor Valley College (VVC) is the junior college which my eldest daughter has been attending dual…read moreenrollment while she is still in high school. VVC is a great campus. My daughter was taking a couple courses at VVC this past summer. I ended up checking out this campus on her first day. General parking is $2 per day which isn't too bad. If you can apply for their free interim parking pass, then do so because it will save you some money... you'll get a temporary pass until you receive a physical parking decal. Their student services building is fantastic... place for students to obtain assistance on whatever inquiries or issues they may have... met a few wonderful staff. Their library is very clean and organized as it should be... two floors of books and references... their staff is amazing. I met a couple sweet ladies... Sueann and April... thank you so much for all your help that day on setting up my daughter with the Cares Act program for books and supplies. I appreciate you both. Their bookstore is of good size, but they seem to be out of inventory most of the time... can't seem to have books and school supplies in stock for long. They have their Desert Rock Cafe, but it was closed when I was there so didn't get a chance to check it out. They also have Food Pantry set up on campus to provide short-term food relief, free to their VVC students... my daughter was able to take advantage of this program... thank you! VVC also has a really nice man-made lake where all the ducks hang out. Love them ducks! Just a lovely campus overall. Every time I call the campus for information, their staff is very friendly, pleasant, and helpful in every way. After high school, I am grateful my daughter will be finishing her general education courses at VVC before transferring to a four year college. Thank you VVC and all the staff and professors for your service!

This might be one of the worst community colleges to attend. I'd been hoping they'd improved after…read morelosing accreditation and gaining it back, but it doesn't seem they have. I recently found out classes I'm taking are not transferable because the department teachers are not teaching at a proper university level curriculum. On top of that, I have been heavily misled several times by several different faculty. When I try to address these problems with supervisors, supervisors make promises to call me back with more information and then duck and dodge my calls. One department supervisor ended up calling me back and let me know she was only calling me back because her supervisor had to tell her to get in touch with me. He only knew she was failing to respond because I'd gotten in contact with him myself. If you're looking to further your education, take the time to find a better trusted college. One that has classes that are actually transferrable and will not lead you on. Otherwise you will be wasting your time here.

The campus is nice- the buildings are clean and there is free parking. The student lounge is equipped with water, a kitchenette (microwaves, fridge), and computers. Students can also print in the lounge (for a nominal fee). The instructors are really nice and are available for office hours if you have any questions. I went to UCSD for my first degree and I think that these instructors here at CSUSM Temecula are way more approachable. They all want you to pass the class so they are open to helping you succeed. I highly recommend coming here for the ABSN program! It's a little pricey but, what isn't?

Who somehow got Chaffey listed on a 'Top 10 public swimming pools near Rancho Cucamonga' if Chaffey seems not to have gone back to offering their pool to the public like they used to back when the giant pool was actual two giant-ish pools. I think you paid a couple dollars or something and got to use it until you tired out from it. It was great. Now I can't find anywhere with straight forward public pay-for swimming, and it doesn't help that the lists are full of places that have no reason to be on such a list, unless the goal is a devious one meant to screw with the heads of people like me. I have neighbors with pools, but I honestly don't like the idea of using anyone's pool that I'm neighbors with. Just don't feel comfortable with it, and I could try to explain why, but it's a personal thing that makes sense to me, and perhaps might or might not to you. It's too bad Chaffey probably underutilizes their pool now. How much pool action could they possibly have in an official capacity? Like 10% of the pool at most? That's such a waste.
