We are so happy with the care and communication we have gotten from Learning Tree! The teachers and staff are friendly, caring, and skilled. We have been there for 2.5 years now and have had a positive experience the whole time. When my son had a temporary medical condition that required extra support the staff was so helpful and kind. My son has been going to Learning Tree for years. We left a previous daycare when he was getting horrific diaper rash because they weren't changing his diapers often enough. It was night and day when we started at Learning Tree. The teachers are kind and attentive and keep parents informed. He loved his little Guppy classroom. And when we was older and moved to the Starfish Room, they potty trained him in no time at all. Seriously--we barely had to do anything! He came home trained! When my son got a little older and needed some more assistance with learning, all of the staff has been very helpful, patient and understanding with his accommodations. Now he is in the preschool class at LT, and absolutely ADORES his classroom, his teacher and the activities. Despite the pandemic and the challenges everyone, including LT, has had to endure, he has absolutely thrived. I appreciate LT being so safety and health-conscious during this time. My son has also learned the alphabet, some reading and writing and math. He's seriously a step ahead in all of that and it makes me feel confident that when he starts Kindergarten this year it will be an easy transition. All due to the amazing teacher he had! read more

This place has really changed since covid, and I would not recommend this place to anyone . I am a single mom and my two children, who have had zero behavior issues, were kicked out with literally ZERO warning because I voiced safety concerns about the business. My child had been getting more injuries, and I told them that there were safety issues since she had recently been diagnosed with developmental delay, therefore she was prone to more injuries and needed a bit closer supervision. At first they didn't even believe me that she had a diagnosis - Laurie told me that my child "only acts this way for me", and then another time blew me off when I asked her why my child was crying at pick-up. After that incident I decided to send them her diagnosis paperwork - to show that she really did need extra supervision - and that is when they terminated our care with only a 24 hour notice. After they finally saw the paperwork, their reason was "because we believe you, that we are concerned that we cannot give your family the proper care." Verbatim. That same email is when I was told that the next day would be their last day, which also gave my children zero time to process that they were no longer allowed to come to the daycare where they had been for 5 years. My youngest was 5 and had been there since she was 1 - she hadn't known any other daycare, and felt a deep love and attachment to the staff there. I am a single mom during covid, with a full-time job as a public employee in education - and they dropped my daycare (before school was out) on a 24 hours notice. As a person who used to highly respect this business, I would urge you to keep your children away and find a different facility. read more

Our family has owed Learning Tree a review for a very long time now and we're sorry it's taken so long! Our daughter attended Learning Tree from 1-5yrs old. We moved cross-country, otherwise she would still be enrolled for after care and Parents Night Out. They accepted new, skeptical parents saying goodbye to their kiddo for the first time and accepted her into a rich and loving environment. We watched her grow to love their extraordinary staff and administrators. Our family continues to receive their monthly newsletter and reading it is bittersweet - It's fun to see how the business has changed and equally sad that we're not able to share in the story. Teachers Jill, Denise, Laurie, Kerry, and Ernie the Dog are talked about now years after the fact. After our move, we made up a scrapbook of photos to ease the shock of losing friends and loved ones to distance. Almost all of the room was taken up by pictures of her longtime Guppies and Goldfish classmates on the playground or goofing around with teachers. Old friends are still mentioned as current best friends and perhaps they always will be. We have really struggled to find quality child care in the years since and no small part, we really blame Learning Tree for spoiling us. They provided a really loving and enriching home for our daughter. As Learning Tree made up the majority of her waking hours, we always felt that the staff created a love for education, art, and caring for others. These traits continue in no small part due to their help and for that, we will always be grateful. Thank you, thank you! read more

Our twin boys have been going to Oak grove learning tree for the past 2 years almost. They have been well taken care of, especially now through this crazy pandemic. The staff does a great job with communicating with parents and are always friendly! Our little guys have learned so much in just the past few months when moving up to teacher Kerry's class. Our children first began attending Oak Grove Learning Tree/Learning Tree Day School of Oak Grove in May of 2019. Our daughter, Rosalind, was just a day over one and our son, Winston, was barely three. Up until this point, both children had been home with us, or with a nanny while we were both at work three days per week. We were very apprehensive to place them in a childcare facility, but after making our way through eight different nannies in only a few months we decided to give it a try. (Rosie was a screamer with any and all strangers; she never adjusted to a single care provider in our home and they quickly burned out.) Rosie was the youngest child in the facility, the baby of the baby, AKA the Guppies, room. Winston was the oldest of the kiddos in the magical potty training miracle called the Starfish Room. Both children went through a little adjustment period, as expected, but without making a single teacher blink. While they often fussed at dropoff, both settled in quickly after parental departure and did great with their new reliable environment and consistent caregivers. (I know this because they tolerated my frequent nervous telephone check-ins daily until I became more comfortable. Perhaps I was the one with stranger anxiety, not the kids! Ha!)  Since the adjustment period, the children have done nothing but thrive there. Winston quickly graduated the Starfish Room after becoming confident in his toileting (Thank you Teacher Kerry!) and subsequently moved to the Minnow Room, where he has continued to grow his social, artistic, and motor skills. He recently graduated to the Goldfish Room, but not before learning how to write his name, draw creative self portraits, and name most, if not all, of his colors and shapes, as well as many, many letters. (Thank you, Teacher Kathryn!) He has a number of "best" friends he talks about constantly and asks to attend school nearly every single day. He's extremely happy there. (Thank you, Teacher Kelly!)  Rosie is now approaching her transition to the Starfish Room and we couldn't be more delighted. Rosie knows her colors and many shapes as well. She sings many songs at home she has learned, at least partially, at school and she talks often about "her" babies (AKA the younger students in the Guppy Room). She has had a couple of teachers throughout her stay there (almost 18 months now) and all have been terrific, but Hayley has certainly been among her favorites (Thank you Hayley!).  While all of this would have been fantastic during normal, boring, basic times, this is particularly special because we are not living in those times. When the pandemic first started, my husband and I were absolutely overwhelmed trying to brainstorm how we would continue to maintain our employment (both essential workers in engineering and healthcare) and provide safe care to our children. Fortunately, these concerns were quickly dissipated. As we watched many, many local childcare facilities close down, several permanently, Oak Grove Learning Tree has remained open throughout these volatile times. As new state regulations have emerged, again and again, they have risen to meet them, shifting roles, reconfiguring classrooms, and continually maintaining an amazing, safe place for our children to further learn and grow. In a world full of evolving changes, they've given our children consistency, and ourselves peace of mind. We cannot recommend this amazing facility with enough enthusiasm and sincerity.  P.S. Our daughter loves Oak Grove Learning Tree. As parents we have watched her grow and develop throughout the years at OGLT. We are greeted each morning with a smile from Andrea and Lori making drop off a breeze. We started at OGLT when our daughter was 1.5 and in diapers, she then moved to Kerry's class, where Kerry worked on potty training. We have been so impressed with how Scott keeps parents informed, and how he implemented individual curriculums so each child is successful. Never once have I been concerned about my daughters well being while at OGLT. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for a phenomenal daycare. read more

Zero stars. Honestly. I had both of my children here for years and sang their praises to everyone. I thought we were so fortunate to have such excellent care at an affordable price. That all changed during covid. Unfortunately my youngest son started demonstrating signs of developmental delays and as a result we were asked to leave. The primary delay was toilet training. My son was 3 and getting bigger so the teacher complained that it was too hard for her to care for him. Another complaint is that my son would get up during meal times and try to run out the door. I tried to come up with ideas to help support the staff...I even offered to come in daily during lunch to sit with him. Each discussion with Andrea and Scott resulted in tears as they pretended to be supportive yet continued to recommend we find different care. Apparently the toilet delays and eloping were such atrocious offenses that we were asked to go elsewhere unless we could get a one on one aide for him. There was an autistic child in attendance there that had his own aide so I was expected to have one also. Keep in mind my child was not diagnosed with autism and early intervention services were remote only because of the pandemic. I had no one to help us and couldn't take the pain anymore. I've never experienced heart break like that before-it was the first time my son had experienced discrimination and it killed me. I'll never forgive the staff for their actions. In addition to the above referenced experience the place always smells like cigarettes. Would not recommend, especially if you have a child with developmental delays. read more

My husband and I are so happy to have found Learning Tree for our daughter's PreK experience. She had been in a cooperative preschool and an in home day care previously but we wanted something that would better prepare her for Kindergarten. The staff is always friendly (despite working with kids all day-haha. Don't know how they find the energy!) and have also been so cooperative in helping with our daughter's dietary concerns. One of the most important and expensive decisions a working parent has to make is daycare. Taking my lil' kiddos here for the past 6 years reflects the trust I have placed with Mr. and Mrs. B. First thing to note, the staff (all known as teachers) have been there a long time...as in years. There is not any noticeable turn over which tells me the work environment is positive. There are hands prints of past children in the gym and in the class room that Kindergarten kids are in. Some of those hand prints even belong to the parents who bring their kids here. The classes are based on age, going from 1 year old to going to school. Each child has a cubby that is packed with projects. The class rooms have themes each month. These themes are learning based with letters and numbers as a focus. Courtesy of donations from parents, there is a computer area in the lunch room. Available is a bus that will shuttle kids to and from school, and they also have an indoor pool for swimming lessons. This place does so much including spring/fall pictures and a Christmas pageant. Here is a place with staff who can balance the demands of parents and meet the needs of the children. read more

I love everything about this place. My little ones have been going here for a little over two years. I remember when I first visited Learning Tree, the first question I asked was how long has the staff been here. I was surprised that most of the teachers have been there over five years. Some even over 10 years. Other daycares I had visited said that most of their teachers had been there less than a year. My thoughts are if you have a high turnaround, this place must not be a good place to work. My children love going to "school." The teachers are so wonderful with the kids and the parents. They do so many art projects that my kids are so proud to show me when I pick them up. Sometimes my little man wants to take his home before he is supposed to. They even have an indoor swimming pool where the kids have swim lessons a couple times a week. As a working parent, it can be hard to fit swim lesson in a weekend. It is nice that they have this option. read more
