Learning all about different animals and reptiles. The party room was the perfect size for a kid's party. They provided tables, chairs, and tablecloths which was super helpful. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. We got really lucky with having weather nice enough to be outside to see the outdoor farm. They actually said as long as the weather is not unsafe, they continue to provide that part of the party year long. You definitely don't want to miss that part. While we understood that activities were "subject to change," we expected an experience that closely reflected what was advertised. Our daughter was by far the oldest child in her group, and I wish there had been more age-appropriate grouping or activities. She came home each day underwhelmed, which was especially disappointing because she had been counting down the days until camp. The biggest issue was that many of the advertised activities felt much more basic than they appeared. There was far less hands-on interaction with the animals than we expected. Instead of an immersive farm or horse experience, it often felt more like observing, listening, or completing simple crafts. For example, "making parakeet sticks" meant feeding the birds with sticks that were already prepared, and "making a goat piñata" consisted of stuffing a pre-made paper-mâché piñata. She also told us that "learning to milk a cow" involved squeezing a rubber glove attached to a wooden calf with blue-colored liquid inside. While these activities may be enjoyable for younger children, they felt geared toward a much younger age group than our 9-year-old. One thing I did appreciate was the check-in and check-out process. The staff had a clear system that made drop-off and pick-up feel organized and secure. My biggest suggestion would be to make the advertising more representative of what campers actually do. A day-by-day sample itinerary or more photos and videos of children participating in the actual activities would help parents make an informed decision. We chose this camp over others because of the detailed activity descriptions, and the reality simply didn't match the expectations they created.

They listen to your goals and try to help you achieve them. For show riders they emphasize that winning isn't everything, it's about good sportsmanship and having your best ride. That attitude has created a barn full of supportive riders. School shows are held four times a year, and many of the classes are held in the outdoor arena if the weather is nice. I enjoy the wide variety of classes that are available. There's always a chance to try something new. This is a barn that is steeped in tradition. When they say it's a family affair they truly mean it. The staff and riders do their best to make everyone feel like family. Don't base your opinions off of a few unflitered reviews when there are tons of positive reviews that didn't make it past Yelp's ridiculous system! When in doubt, go out there and see for yourself.

We attended my 2 granddaughter's birthday celebration where Sarah's Pony Rides were hired to give…read morerides. They also brought in a petting zoo. It was awesome. The children were able to take multiple rides on the ponies and also they could pet the animals within a fenced area. Sarah's Pony Rides employees (Kim, Miley & Briana) were very patient and caring - helping the children up and down from the ponies and explaining what to do. The children enjoyed the petting zoo too. The children could pet the animals from inside the fence and they could feed the animals hay from outside the fence - to ensure the children don't get pushed by the animals who were eager for the hay. Safety was taken seriously. It was a fun time that I am sure my granddaughters will not forget. I have lots of pictures but don't feel comfortable sharing pics with children in them.

The staff at Nova Quarter Horses made the girls' first riding experience unforgettable. My concerns with this establishment are from my perspective as a neighbor. We have been here for…read moreover 26 years, this business has not. When we were a VERY rural area, horse riding around here was considered normal, and acceptable. Today, with the building of many subdivisions and businesses, it has become more of a traditional neighborhood, where things need to be a little different. Recently we have experienced riders riding their horses right through the middle of our front lawn. Turns out it was the children of the owner. I would think there would be a lot more respect for us as neighbors, especially as we have been here well before they came around. When the grass is wet in the springtime, the horseshoe imprints in the lawn are four to six inches deep. It takes a lot of work and time to restore the lawn. We find piles of horse manure in the middle of the driveway as the horses will do what horses will do. However, again I feel that with this area fast becoming much more residential, there would be some attention to this matter as well. I know there are bags that horses can wear to catch the poop as it falls. Just the other day, five or six horses got loose somehow, ( presumably from the stables or the pens ) and were running through the front and side yards again. Unbelievable amount of pock marks in the lawn as it had rained the two previous days. Seems there needs to be a whole lot more supervision in this business, and a whole lot more concern for the neighbors, those of us that have been here for a long time, and those that are moving in now. When the neighbor whos lawn also got trampled went to speak to the people at the facility, they told me the buildings were very dirty and unkempt. Not being serviced properly etc. That is very bad for the horses. The day after this incident, another horse got away from a very young rider, and was running loose again, the rider, saddle and blanket had somehow all come off the horse and it was running free. One of these days a wayward horse is going to be in the street and either get killed, or land up causing an accident that`s going to hurt or kill someone. Seems a whole lot needs to change here.
