Jonathan and Norbert were extremely responsive and patient with our group, making adjustments to our inventory and equipment (e.g. adding waterproof phone mounts) right up until departure. We received and returned our bikes painlessly meeting them at the Bordeaux train station. The bikes were well equipped and in excellent condition. We suffered no flats or maintenance issues during the trip, though we were well prepared with the provided repair kit with spare tubes, pump, patch kit etc. We would very happily plan another trip with O2Cycles; they know the region very well and their suggestions for routes, restaurants, sights and stops were all top notch. The bikes arrived and were picked up at the predetermined time. They were in excellent condition and we had no maintenance problems. We rented bikes from O2 Cycles for a 2 week journey from Bordeaux to Montpellier along the canals of the "Entre 2 Mers" region. It was a wonderful trip and the bikes were perfect. The bikes were delivered to us at the Bordeaux airport and fitted for us and our equipment. Then they offered us a ride to a local supermarket right on the bike trail, so that we could avoid the busy airport traffic. They also held a small amount of luggage so that we didn't have to carry any unnecessary weight. At the end of the trip we returned the bikes by train to Bordeaux and met Norbert at the train station for easy return of the bikes. In total we covered over 800 kilometers with no issues other than one minor puncture. Because we had been provided with repair kits, tire irons and pump this was easily fixed over lunch beside the canal. The bikes were ideal for this kind of touring. Comfortable seats, 21 gears for smooth riding, and front shocks for the rougher trails on the Canal du Midi. The rear racks easily held our own panniers and my only regret was not renting the optional front carrier just to even out the weight slightly. I would highly recommend the bikes and the service that was provided and would definitely hire from O2 again. read more

We hired o2 Cycles for an 8 person day long ride through the Bordeaux region. Norbert brought our bikes to the pier in Bordeaux where our cruise ship was docked, took the time to perfectly fit each bike to each rider, and confirmed with a paper map the route he and I had worked out via email prior to our arrival. The bikes were great, much higher quality than our own road bikes at home (and we are pretty regular riders). The only downside is that now my husband wants to go buy one like those! Anyway, Norbert was terrific to work with leading up to our day in Bordeaux and on the day itself. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My wife and I were referred to Norbert by our Hotel, Chateau Grattequina. The bikes were delivered to us on time at the hotel for our 7-day biking trip through wine country. The bikes were made by Cube which I had never heard of and are fabulous (I'm saving up to hopefully get one). The bike bags (Ortlieb) were the best I've ever used with large secure pockets so wine bottles don't rattle because you will acquire baguettes and stuff throughout the day. The bags are secure and easy on and off. Norbert provided us will all gear including helmets and a waterproof front bag which kept all our maps dry as it mists a lot. Norbert provided us with great maps to the Chateaus we were visiting and described how we needed to complete the trip all the way from Puillac through Bordeaux and over to St. Emillion but after completing the trip once--to use the terrific train when repeating our steps (easy and the rear car has sturdy bike racks). This removed so many barriers and allowed us to concentrate 100% on fun. This is a once in a lifetime trip and O2 enhanced this memory.
