Okay let me start this by saying, I know nothing about cars. (I'm a 25 year old woman trying to…read morelearn how to maintain and fix my own vehicle.)So, I walked into O'Reillys clueless asking for a stain remover. I was greeted by some helpful gentlemen and referred to Sherm. He helped me select the right cleaning solvent to get the coffee out of my car seats. As the other gentlemen claimed, Sherm is the expert, so I decided to ask some more car questions. Having a hefty scratch on the back of my car, I was wondering if I could take care of that myself. He helped me hand select the products needed, taught me how to do it, wrote it down and reviewed it with me. He looked up the style and make of my car to confirm we got the right paint, and made sure I understood how to do it. I also have a cracked fender/bumper(cluelessness example) and he helped me buy the products needed, and physically assisted me with putting the lug nuts on. As an older gentlemen he was on the ground helping me fix my issues. He made me confident that I could fix my scratches on my car, and he was incredibly professional and resourceful. I promised Sherm I would come back to show him the result when I repainted my scratches like he told me. When I came home, I told my fiancé about the encounter and he stated "they don't make them like that anymore". That's the truth, he took time out of his day to explain, assist, and physically look at the car issues I was facing. I was nervous walking into an auto repair store knowing nothing about cars or how to fix them, but genuinely walked out feeling motivated and confident to do it myself. Sherm is the best, he's experienced and has great customer service. They truly don't make them like him anymore. (Give that man a raise)

DO NOT RECOMMEND WOMEN GOING THERE!! Went in on 12/9 at…read more12:30 working was this old crappy white man. I am a young female and prior to coming here I researched what bulb I needed for my car, and just wanted to confirm it was the correct one for my car. He didn't even ask what kind of car I had, so hoping it will work. Anyway when I was checking out he asked about rewards and I was being very kind and polite and just making conversation and said nope I don't come here often as a female lol. He decided to comment on that and said yeah I bet you got rewards for the dress shop... I said I don't go there often either lmao. my question is just why is any comment like that needed? Make sure you have employees that can be respectful to women In spaces dominated my men. I get he might be a crappy old man but still I was being very kind and smiling and told him to have a good day after that comment. If ur a women do not go there save your money for a place where the man is willing to help you and be respectful. Peace and love

These young people working here don't have the will of helping. While asking about the car washes…read moreprogram the guy kept saying " we just sell them and I just work here ". When I walked in they were just hanging on the other side of the counter, I had to wait until they finished their personal conversation, once they finished, he approached and you could tell he was just not willing to help. As soon as he told me " I don't know, I just work here" I told him , well, this is why I am asking you, then I just turned around and left. I just can say that this was a very poor customer service.

Second, when I come and if I have a large bill I have to turn away unless I purchase a large amount, or the most they can break is $20 and yes that is with a purchase. I have been living in this area for the past 8 years and really wished I would enjoy stopping there. My experience: One time under a different manager I could tell I was being judged, I would be followed in the store and given a bad attitude/approach. It wasn't until I struck up a conversation with the manager and he asked where I worked and I informed him the government then his whole approach changed. That is not how it should be... He even asked if he could use me as a reference and if a job opened if I would let him know, Fast forward and I'm still looked at weirdly because I wear a mask, sometimes shades to protect my eyes and no I don't dress up in fancy clothes, Once time I brought in my 12-16 ounce bottle and filled it with ice and was told there was a fee for the ice, I asked the supervisor if the policy changed (customer doesn't have to pay if they bring their own container) and she said no, it was just that their machine keeps breaking and people bring too many cups to fill at once. I agree if you come with more than two cups, you should purchase ice due to the amount but I had one cup, and I maybe come one to two times every two weeks, It's just sad, I really try to avoid going to Speedway in general. I can't speak for everyone or say that happens to everyone I can only speak from my personal experience. Good luck community,
