Portomarin is a beautiful town on the Camino de Santiago. O Mirador does not, unfortunately add to what makes the town so nice. It's really the attitude of staff that turned us off. They don't really welcome pilgrims ... A lot friendlier places to eat after a long day on pilgrimage. Buen Camino! read more

Stopped by for dinner after a long Camino walk. We figured 4 stars and right on the river for a relaxing dinner. The placed looked empty. We stepped up to host station and were literally ignored. The host walked away apparently arguing with someone in the kitchen. Waited a few minutes and someone else came up to us and asked if we had reservations. We replied no, and gave us a look that drove us away. Apparently they do good business and don't need walkins. Walked up the hill and found a great place with a charming staff that made the meal and evening memorable. read more

We made a reservation for 7pm and arrived then. The place was empty but the manager told us to wait about 5 minutes. They could have seated us while they finished whatever they were doing. The waiter brought us 2 pieces of very hard bread with barely enough olive oil for one. The steak was outstanding, as was the grilled salmon. But I got the vibe we weren't their priority - only made worse by the high prices. read more

Let the view speak for itself. Came here after walking 27 Kms, we were starving because we made the mistake to not eat throughout the hike, so by the time we arrived in Portomarin all we could see was black spots. As soon as we settled in O Mirador we were greeted by the best view. This, combined with a cold beer and warm croquettes, was very comforting. The restaurant is a great place to wind down after a day's walk as it is just at the entrance of the town. read more

If you are in Portomarín, this is the place for dinner!!! The best I've found yet on my trip to Spain this year (actually on the Camino de Santiago- France Way). They have meat and seafood. I ordered the grilled Hake with grilled vegetables and boiled potatoes. They dress perfectly to my taste with olive oil and sea salt! I had a glass of red wine ( Rioja) to compliment the dishes! Very inefficient service. The waiter was rushing and knocked over a glass and spilled wine on one of our party and didn't return to at least replace the wine until we complained. The main dinners were brought out before the appetizers. Half our party had finished their appetizers while half had yet to get theirs. A number of patrons were also coming in and getting served before us. The waiters never came back to ask if there was anything we needed until we went and asked for things. The final bill contained an order of bread that we never ordered or received. The meals once they arrived were excellent. I gave this a 3 because of the service issues and not the food. I would also like to add that I will not return on my next Camino de Santiago. read more

Just great food after a longs day walk. Beer was cold bread was fresh and place was lively.

Not really sure why the only other review was only 3 star... We had lunch here and it was so good we went back for dinner. Lovely views, great food big portion and small price.
