The staff is so kind and hard working and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. I have some dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy and egg) and they were very thorough to make sure I wasn't going to have any issues. I had the pabellion criollo and my hubby had an arepa. Both were so delicious! We even ordered one more to go so we could have it for breakfast tomorrow since we have a super early morning. Be sure to stop in and check this place out if you haven't yet, you won't regret it!

We were wandering down the waterfront of Puerto Madero and the mid-day heat was getting to us…read more Lupita looked like they had a decent menu plus air-conditioning so our choice was made. The g/f ordered the Ensalada de Salmón y Aquacate (Salmon and avocado salad) and I got La Gringa del Patrón (Rib-eye steak with sauteed chorizo, tomato and smoked salsa with melted mozzarella and corn tortilla). Brought chicken salad by mistake, but this was soon corrected. The large salad was mostly lettuce and other fillers (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#653Jx4PS-qdW9QicIJJ1fA). The menu said a "vanilla vinaigrette" but there was no dressing on the salad and bottles of regular vinegar and olive oil were brought with the salad. The salmon that was there was nicely seasoned (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#6VwyrWCWmRK3l4uZmoSjGw). My La Gringa del Patrón was interesting. The dish was listed on both the Main Menu (comes with salad) which said tortilla de maiz (corn) and the Menu del Dia (comes with drink) which said it tortilla de trigo (wheat). I specified the Main Menu item and was expecting something like fajitas with tortillas on the side, but what came was quesadilla-like in a flour tortilla (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#DtqJ-caxSUv4KtD7AiCsYQ). Not sure if there was a typo on the menu or communication problem and I got the Menu del Dia item (as I also didn't get the side salad). Also, not sure the difference between La Gringa and Quesadilla items, which are on the menu in their own section. Anyway, the dish was garnished with a sweet brown sauce and flower petals (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#pDF6D6x7QqAsPkOBmhan6w) The beef was tender and there was not much chorizo (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#aXh0heszhfBLyrybhnQmrg). We were both satisfied, but not wowed by our dishes.
