1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed…read more I hired this attorney to handle the probate of my mother and father. He was paid in full before providing services--something I now consider a major red flag. My father's probate was filed on July 2, 2025. After my mother's probate was completed and her Letters of Administration were published beginning March 18, 2026, I repeatedly contacted the attorney by text and email asking about my father's case. Getting answers was extremely difficult. I eventually contacted the probate clerk myself and discovered that documents were missing and the court had already mailed my attorney a letter notifying him of the missing documents. I ultimately received my father's Letters of Administration to publish beginning July 1, 2026--nearly a year after the case was filed. This delay had a real financial impact. I could not get the deed transferred into my name in time to apply for the homestead exemption before the deadline. When I questioned the attorney about the delay, his response was: "No time tables at all with probate. They take their sweet time." I understand that courts have their own timelines. What I expected from the attorney I paid in full was to monitor the case, address outstanding documents, communicate with me, and keep the process moving. Instead, I had to repeatedly chase him for updates and ultimately contact the court myself to find out what was happening. Probate is already difficult when you're dealing with the loss of both parents. Having to fight for basic communication from the attorney I hired only made it worse. In hindsight, paying the entire fee upfront should have been my first red flag. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney for probate.

But had I been able to obtain that information upfront as requested, I could have saved myself a good bit of time. They have a very nice presentation and if this is within your budget, I think you will like them. One way they cut down on your coat is that initial payment includes some post death legal support. I think I would rather pay on the back end because most of my cash is in IRA accounts. So just depends on what you can afford....For me this was WAY out of my of my budget, when other firm are quoting me 2-3k. This is a premium level law firm, with a family feel. I think they need to add some upfront information so that people who need to screen them out can do so. I think they need to work on developing a referral list. It was not just their time that was invested in my research.

I lived in another state, my parents lived over seas, and my poor sister was left all alone to deal with this bad situation. Overwhelmed and disappointed, she did not know where to turn to when our last attorney started asking for more money. A lady at the salon my sister went to recommended Fakiha Khan. The lady had gone through a similar experience with a controlling ex. We spoke to Fakiha on the phone, and immediately retained her services. It was the best decision we made!! Let me start by saying , Fakiha Khan is an amazing human being! She's has been there to guide us and advise in every step of the way. She has made herself available to listen to us and help us every time we've needed her. This is a quality we have been unable to find in any other attorney we have dealt with in the past. During our court trial, Fakiha was a shark! She was so well prepared, articulate, to the point, made sure she addressed all the issues important to us, and with minimal words and perfect examples was able to portray my sisters ex as he was. She also put up with no bullshit from the opposing attorney. And of course we won the case! Trust me when I tell you, she is fantastic! I expect for my sisters ex to create problems for her in the future, but I also know who I will be calling when that time comes. Fakiha, thank you for all you have done for us! I know this is a very long review, but I can't put into words how blessed and grateful we feel to have found someone as smart, kind and compassionate as Fakiha.
