History

Established in 1997.

o'donnell+co, Chartered Accountants was founded by Bryan O'Donnell, principal of the firm, in 1997 and has built up a large client base of corporate clients and private individuals over the last 27 years. With experience across a wide variety of sectors, we specialise in outsourced accounting, outsourced payroll, start-ups and corporate secretarial services. We have worked with several overseas clients to facilitate their expansion into the EU market and provide a complete investment and business hosting service. Our mission is to understand each client, their business and the marketplace in which they operate to devise the accounting solution that best meets their requirements. Our commitment to our clients is that we deliver turnkey solutions to enable them to achieve their goals. In late 2025, we became a member firm of Somers Browne & Associates and moved to their building at Riverpoint, Lower Mallow Street, Limerick in January 2026.

Meet the Business Owner: Bryan O.

Bryan O'Donnell, BCOMM, FCA Bryan is the Principal of the firm and has over 20 years' experience advising corporate and private clients with a particular focus on start-ups, overseas/inward investment and interim management. Having trained with Deloitte in Dublin, he moved to London in 1988 where he worked with KPMG for two years. He joined Grand Metropolitan (now Diageo) in 1990 and worked as Financial Analyst with its property division for two years. In 1992 he was appointed Group Management Accountant at Tiphook plc. Upon his return to Ireland in 1994, he was appointed Financial Controller at Neodata Services, a Limerick-based US subsidiary, a position he held until he started the practice in 1997.
