Cannot say enough good things about this company. As someone who grew up in the SCV, I was accustomed to Mike and his crew taking care of all the school pictures. But boy did I ever receive a shock when I realized how great they were with adults too! They are always ALWAYS on time, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Don't like your double chin? Only (think you) have one good side? They'll adjust the camera angle and lighting to make you love your pic. Highly recommend for everything from individual shots to family photos to large corporate/team shots. They do it all and they do it all well. read more

Like many others, our school contracts out to them for all sports photos. My son has taken photos with them with 2 different sports and the quality of the photos just isn't there. The poses and backgrounds are fine, but both times the pictures are blurry/not sharp. The kid is literally standing still and the picture quality is just subpar. We have local photographers that take action shots and are clearer, crisper and better. Not sure why this company has the stronghold on Hart district but from now on I think I'll just stick to DIY or using an independent photographer. read more

Reposting my review cause yall had it removed saying I wasn't a customer!! I in fact was! My son went to a local high school and I purchased his grad photo from you guys! I paid over $100 to get a single 8x10 photo! Yall are a really awful company! Absolutely despicable! You guys should really be ashamed of yourselves for exploiting all of SCV families for their child's senior pics!! You claim in your responses that it's due to rising costs from Covid, yet there's reviews from 7 years ago making the same complaints. $182 for an 8x10 was the cost 7 years ago. And you think your monthly specials are enough? It's not! I hope to god the school district finds someone else when my next child graduates in 4 years! read more

This company is a racket! They are the only option given for senior pictures from the local schools and they know it so they take advantage of families. Incredibly overpriced and it's ridiculous that you have to make an appointment to pick up your pictures. Why? So, they can try to sell you more overpriced items. They made my daughter feel bad when she didn't want to wear the off the shoulder black nonsense top and that isn't very kind. Also, I had a billing issue and left a message for the manager who didn't call me back so I called again and got hung up on and then called back...etc. They give you this whole script, "we're a small business, not Walmart" is what they said to me regarding their overinflated pricing. I was also told "well, you don't have to order the pictures" - all with a condescending attitude. Ridiculous company. I paid $100 for 2 - 5X7 photo's. read more

All the local high schools use this vendor. The prices are way too high and quality isn't great. But for 3 of my sons already, I tend to get the same photographer who is a hoot! He's so funny and makes the kids really comfortable. Too bad, I always forget his name but he's great. read more

This morning I went to pick up my son's senior picture order that I've already paid for - charged to my credit card. Despite the fact that I called your office in advance twice, to clarify that there would be two different orders from two divorced parents for the same student, you gave my prepaid ($339.00) order to my ex-wife. As O'Connor Photography seems to have no clear method of two-way email correspondence... just phone calls and 'no-reply' (which clearly don't work... see above) I am leaving this recap of my experience, which was anything but good. read more

Overpriced, irritating online purchase experience. I had to call and ask for assistance ordering and spoke to someone who has never actually gone through the buying process with their e-commerce setup. Then to find out the digital download of the photos I purchased wont be delivered for a week because they "have to manually add the background". No where when ordering did it say it would take a week. This business is too out dated and behind with the times to be charging the prices they are. read more

I am VERY disappointed with O'Connor Photography. I chose my son's senior picture for the yearbook and they submitted a different one instead of the picture we chose. The photographer was super inexperienced and the people "dressing" for the session picture were totally clueless. Awful. The price for 3 pictures is way too expensive and now a picture that we did NOT choose will be in the yearbook. TERRIBLE. They are profiting off of our children's hard work and accomplishments. Honestly, anyone could have easily done a much better job with a demo version of photoshop. They SHOULD be ashamed. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with O'Connor Photography. Phil did a phenomenal job with my son's senior pictures, as well as the basketball banners for all the seniors on his team. ....definitely request Phil. He will not disappoint! Jaina and Taline in the office were amazing and incredibly helpful too. 5 star review from start to finish from a grateful mom! read more

The photo guy was kind enough to let me take a photo. But I wish he would have taken this one, also. It was the best out of all of them. I love this place still, though. This is the last child. So I will make it a gd one. read more

Great pictures! Photographer was professional and made the experience pleasant, thank you!

This studio was warm and welcoming, and I was immediately made to feel right at home. Mrs. O'Connor took my photos, several dozen, actually, in different poses, facial expressions, and from different angles. She was extremely polite, respectful, and helpful in helping me into different positions for my photos She made made me feel right at home the entire time, and I spent most of it laughing, which turned out to be the exact facial expression we were both looking for. The proofs are fantastic - trying to narrow this down to just a few was done with her in just a few minutes, and we settled on one that, by coincidence, we both agreed was an excellent photo. I could not be more pleased with the courtesy,, attitude, and professionalism of this entire operation, and am thrilled with the results. This business knows exactly what they are doing, and I am not awarding them 5 stars, they earned it. An absolutely WONDERFUL experience, and even now, I'm smiling thinking about it John M read more

My son did his senior photos today and it was such a well organized and easy process. We had Alexis (not sure of spelling) as our photographer and he was amazing. He was able to get so many good shots and built such a great rapport with my son that he had him laughing and smiling. read more

Paid 500 for a senior picture package and have to pay an extra 200 to keep them. Wow. Absolutely ridiculous. You'd think that the 500 is more than enough to be able to keep the pictures that were taken of you- especially considering they used my picture to advertise their services on their website. Funny thing is that even if I leave a 1 star review the kids still have no choice on the matter considering they work directly with the school. I'm not surprised that they have such a low rating. Pros: pics were wonderful and the photographers were super nice Cons: price gouging to a ridiculous degree. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I been trying to contact them for over a week and no one is pick up the phone and responding to my emails. I did not receive one of the photos I was suppose to get which is the class picture. DO NOT GO HERE. I am going to talk to the school and let them about my experience and see if we can switch back to LIFE TOUCH. I am also going to talk to other parents and see if they had the same experience as me. This is unacceptable especially for the price. If other parents are experiencing this let the school know read more

I will never understand why my daughter's school chose this company to do their pictures. The quality of work is so sloppy. My daughter's pictures l, which were not cheap, had a white strip on the top of each that should have been cut off before being given to me. The white strip contained my daughter's information along with the school's information. It looks like it's for them to know which pictures go where. On top of that they put their name on the bottom right corner of the pictures. I'm buying pictures of my child not a business card. I reached out to her school and they said that happens all the time. One admin stated that she had a picture one time that included the entire box her child was sitting on which was obviously not supposed to be in the picture. There are so many other choices for photographers out there. Don't waste your money on this company. Also in order to pick up the extra picture that I ordered last fall for my daughter they made me schedule an appointment to pick up. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. read more

The star rating for this company is accurate. Being a good photographer and business person running a good business are two different things. The person who answers the phone and is at their front office is immature, rude and should be fired to say the least. The photos come with their business logo and you have no option to remove it. We don't pay all of this money to be an advertisement for your company. Ordering online should be easier for you, not more difficult. My order was not fulfilled and when I asked in person, they said it was already sent to the school. No apology and she could maybe help look into it. She said ask your school and if they don't have it, MAYBE we can reprint it. I had to sit in front of their office, call the school who called the teacher to confirm that my child did not get it and walked right back in there to tell them. She promptly walked into the back and got an extra picture and just handed it to me. Panoramic photo just handed to me. No cover or envelope to protect it. The money we pay for these pictures are not worth it at all. There are so many great photographers and businesses we can choose from. There is no doubt that I will be sharing my dissatisfaction to the schools and parents about the poor organization and business practices as well as customer service that this company displays. We have so many better choices. read more

WHY IS HART SCHOOL DISTRICT REFERRING BUSINESS TO THIS SHITTY VENDOR! KICKBACK ANYONE?? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! JAINA THE SUPERVISOR DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN THIS PLACE!! Shes so aggressive, unpleasant, immature and shes been insisting its their lunch break...who takes lunch breaks and not accomodate a customer for 5 mins?? I mean first they cannot schedule a photo opportunity the same time as the kid's lunch break because it is also their lunch break! How pathetic can that be! So in essence with their super limited schedule they insist to have the students take time off from school rather than staggering the times so that they can accommodate kids during their lunch hour for their photos! Oh when i was just telling her that the last time they were able to accommodate me and my son for his photos even though we were a bit behind schedule shes so defensive and saying "its different everyday" rather than being helpful, she was so rude and kept arguing with me - a paying CUSTOMER that its their lunch break! She just cannot do it...OMG seriously!!! Come on bundy clock mentality and yeah the prices are such a rip off too!!! Mind you...this vendor handles ALL the photos in the ENTIRE valley and they WANT your kid to cut classes so they can take their pictures with their OWN schedule, mine was just a retake for crying out loud! Not even thinking of their parents schedule at work!!! My gosh why was this even contracted to the entire valley yet the worst service for our kids!! What a rip off!!! Rude customer service and my goodness so uneducated treatment from JAINA!!! I mean look at the reviews...everyone else is giving this company the worst experience for our kids and parents. I mean come on! Some other photography company can do a better job hiring the best people and having best memorable experience! Sure capacity is at full but does not give them the right to be rude to a paying customer!!! Instead of JAINA accommodating and being nice, she instead continued her argument for 10 Mins rather than just quickly doing a retake! What useless customer service is this!! I should have stayed there for another 10 so she cannot completely get her lunch break my goodness! LOL!!! Absolutely disappointment, we gotta have another place for grad photos around here!!! I mean photos are not even supposed to be this expensive but having people running this place like so unprofessional! read more

What a rip-off! $90 for a 8x10 in photo of my daughter's senior picture? The same 8x10 can be obtained for 99 cents to $4.99 at Walgreens or Walmart photo center. I am and everyone should write to Hart district and your kids high school on why they giving contract to them but instead have at least 3 options. Most likely someone at Hart is getting a cut under the table. read more

There needs to be another place where we can get our senior pictures. We were late doing our photos (my son kept putting it off) so we came in last minute. They told us we would not be able to pick our picture because it was so last minute. My son and I figured, how bad can they do when picking the picture... it was like the most unqualified person came in and picked the worst picture out of the bunch. The majority of the pictures had a neutral expression and the one AND ONLY picture where he made a weird face was the one they chose. What kind of photography place doesn't know how to pick one of or the best picture unless they did it on purpose which is a possibility, because honestly, when I walked through their lobby, there were nice pictures on the wall, that means someone knows how to pick pictures, except for the idiot who picked ours. Now that picture stays in a book forever, so thank you for that. Worthless. read more

I am absolutely disgusted! I left work early to rush over and select and purchase my daughters graduation pictures. (Was planning on buying all of them). When I get there I had to use the restroom terribly. I was told that their restroom was for employees only! I told them I was a customer there to buy pictures. They still said no. When I asked where to go they shrugged their shoulders and said they don't know. When I said I was leaving and wouldn't buy a thing they couldn't care less. There is no restroom near. I wouldn't give them a penny let alone the hundreds of dollars I would've spent today. My poor daughter is so upset. I will hire a professional photographer. As long as they aren't with O'Conner. read more

So $138 gets us an 8x10? I'm in the business and know how much the lab is charging you for the processing. How dare you extort families for their precious senior photos? You should be ashamed. read more

Poor customer service and failure to deliver/connect with customers regarding their orders.

I had a wonderful in-person experience here last semester but I'm very disappointed in how my pictures turned out. Two or three of the outfits I chose for my senior pictures I couldn't purchase because there was a ridiculous amount of lipstick on my teeth and no one bothered to tell me or edit it out. They said numerous times they would edit the pictures, so I'm not understanding why they couldn't do something as simple as that. It's also OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive to purchase any of the pictures from the company. I ended up only buying two pictures that turned out well, ones that didn't have lipstick on my teeth of course, and it cost me around $130 for low resolution digital downloads. The cost only goes up from there. That's only for two pictures! It could easily cost you $600-700 dollars at least to get all of the pictures if you really liked them. That's just plain wrong. I'm not returning ever again after the result of my time and a lot of my money wasted. Had my pictures actually turned out nicely and they weren't a bloody fortune to actually receive, I would definitely return since the costumer service while there was amazing (which is the only thing keeping it from a one star rating). Major disappointment. read more

The reviews on here pretty much sum it up. I wouldn't go to O'Connor Photography again for my life. The saving grace was the nice photographer but I don't know why they charge so much considering you get below par customer service and a photo shoot location that looks like an abandoned warehouse. Kayleen was a nightmare to talk to. She's rude and a terrible representation of O'Connor. Besides that the exuberant prices are not worth it. You pay a great deal of money for them to take your pictures then get charged hundreds of dollars to actually buy. Just finished the senior pictures which was $54 and I may end up just not buying any packages. I'd rather lose $54 than $500. Thank you O'Connor Photography for ruining an already terrible year for seniors with your horrible prices and even more horrible customer service ( by the way, the Hart district hires them, so we don't really get a say on what company takes the senior pictures. Get out of SCV! ) read more

I went to O'Connor Photography to have a personal photo shoot done. I had several shots in mind I wanted done and met with Phil Fernandez and Mike O'Connor. I wanted a few shots done against a "green screen" so that they could add the background I wanted. Since I would be wearing a kilt and a uniform shirt it took a little extra time to get the poses done at the right angle as not to reflect back on the camera. The pictures came back great. I am very pleased. On a side note, they are a touch pricey but if you want quality you have to pay for it. I recommend O'Connor for your holiday family photos or business photos. read more

Absolute rip off. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of all the high school seniors in SCV. $100 sitting fee, $300- $600 for photos. What a scam. SCV Youth sports used them. The telephone customer service is terrible. I ordered a digital download, paid for everything and filled out the forms when the picture was taken. I called to check on the status of my order after the rest of the team received their pictures. I was told to email and inquire with the digital download people. I sent 5 emails and called back again, I was informed that I needed to re-send my information (all the information that I filled out on the order form weeks before) to the email address and i needed to wait at least 3 weeks for a reply. That is the only way I will get my photos. No help from anyone on the phone. there was nothing she could look up or check on. I was told there were hundreds of people before me waiting for an email. I would have appreciated an Auto-Reply saying that my email was received. The only kuddos i will give is the to friendly photographer and his assistant. They were great. read more

Customer service is horrendous, as soon as I walked in, I felt like it was a burden to them. No, how can I help you?, instead, " Do you have an appointment!" Didn't even care to ask what I needed first. Second, it's over priced, I was going to order prints for my senior, until I saw the prices. It is actually cheaper to hire a photographer and print your own photos. I normally like to support local businesses, but I definitely suggest to stay away from this place, until they learn to appreciate their customers. read more

Senior pictures advice here . Here's my personal experience and advise. Personally I think this place is awful. When I tried to schedule senior pictures they never answered the phone. It seriously took me 2 weeks of calling to get someone to answer. The customer service is just dreadful and everybody has an attitude. As most of you have read this place is outrageously expensive for very few pictures. Unfortunately all the surrounding schools have a contract with this company to get your senior pictures in the yearbook. No problem... make an appointment for senior pictures so you have your yearbook picture. Now if all the seniors in SCV start calling other photographers to book private photo shoots maybe O'Connor photography will stop price gouging. If you find a better priced photographer in SCV willing to do senior pictures, please list it on this page. O'Connor photography feels they have a Monopoly on senior portraits and they could care less if you're happy or not because you're only seen you once. Chances are you're not coming back anyways so what do they care you're not a repeat customer. End the monopoly. Here's a great senior project. Talk to your leaders at the school about getting a new photography option for seniors due to cost. Inquiring about getting the Cap, Gown and tassel needed for the photography. Reach out to a few photographers in SVC and loan them the items for senior pictures. It's too late for me. Graduation is here just trying to help the next group of seniors. In review... My experience here is 1. Terrible customer service. 2. Over priced. read more
