First, before reading this TRUE review I need everyone to know that I was asked by the hiring manager of NYSL Promotions also known as New York Skyline Promotions or just Skyline (which are known on some job boards) to write a positive review about the organization when I first started working there because no one wanted to come in for an interview or did not want to accept the offer to work there. Also, I am writing this to save other's job opportunities and future especially if you are starting your career right after graduating with your Degree and/ or certificate, need to pay bills, rent, etc. If you are considering of accepting the hiring manager's offer of working with him, please RECONSIDER, and if you have other offers, go for them VERSUS THIS ONE. He will give you nothing but false promises and wanting you to meet his insane high expectations which are completely impossible that involves getting rid of you at the very end if you do not meet them. There is no company policy nor handbook to sign, which makes it even worse for you to call the Department of Labor to get your money and/ or your rights back, telling them about the horrible treatment (which includes that breaks are not allowed), etc., sadly the Department of Labor cannot help you due to no actual contract being signed. The hiring manager is an extremely unprofessional and unethical individual. The manager is a FIRING machine and he would consider in firing anyone even if they missed at least one excused day of work. He will not consider an excuse of a family emergency, religious holidays, nor declared state emergencies, etc. for not being able to come into work. The manager will LIE about the salary in order to trick you in accepting the job offer. The man has no filter in cursing and insulting you, he does not care if anyone hears him or not even if there are interviews are being conducted in the next-door office. At the very beginning he will display the "I am a kind-hearted and understanding manager" and the more that he will get to know you, he will show his true colors, which is the complete opposite. He will also require you to come to the office in DECLARED STATE EMERGENCY BLIZZARDS as well, no matter how many times you will tell him that the roads are horrible and you are not comfortable driving in it. This is a DOOR TO DOOR SALES position. The other sales representatives and managers will flirt with the admins which everyone at the company supports this kind of act. This is a scam company with potential dreams of becoming a manager which are true but you need to be very good in SALES in order to first keep your "job" and to become a manager yourself which will not happen until maybe two years from the initial hire. This company is a complete joke where you are going to be overworked and severely underpaid for it and at the end you are treated like garbage. Please consider twice about accepting the job from a liar and save yourself the headache and trouble with this job. read more

NYSL Promotions is an up and coming marketing firm based out of West Caldwell, NJ. This was one of the first places that I interviewed with out of college and all I can say is that I'm EXTREMELY thankful for the opportunity. I first interviewed with the manager there, Joe. He pointed out how nervous I was, which made me even more nervous, but that was quickly put to ease after we joked about it and spoke about the upcoming Giants game. He was very straight forward with me about the position. It was an Entry Level Management opportunity where I would basically be informing our client's consumers about new promotions that they would be running through the upcoming months. He explained to me the opportunity for growth (running my own territory for our client) as well as the opportunity for working with a young, high energy, high paced office. I have since been working with NYSL for two years and couldn't be happier! I have made lifelong friendships here. I've also been sent on fully compensated business trips to Dallas, Boston, Chicago, LA, and Puerto Rico! If you're looking to get your foot in the door or even a last minute career change, I highly suggest submitting your resume!!! read more

On a daily basis i have the opportunity to work with new people and clients. Some of my main responsibilities are to teach, train, and develop others. I work directly with the administration and management to help develop and run all of the promotions that we run for our clients. I love the people, opportunity and the financial stability. I like the opportunity for growth and advancement that NYSL provides. I had an extensive background in marketing and sales before I joined the NYSL team and they were just as excited as I was to incorporate my past experiences with the current clients that they were working with. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in getting their foot in the door or just looking for a new opportunity to grow. read more

NYSL has shown me exactly what I've been looking for since leaving my las job- stability. What's great is that although this is marketing, there's a base pay at the end of each week. I'm currently working directly with the marketing director here, helping to coordinate events for one of the biggest names in the Home Improvement Industry: Home Depot ! I've found this to be a great opportunity, not just for me to grow professionally within this firm, but also to grow personally, as well. It's great knowing that I'm working in an environment where I'm excited to come to work and excited for my future potential! read more
