The breakfast is minimalistic, not enough options, coffee is pre-brewed and not hot.

You could fit a party of four adults easily (this is like a family suite design for Lego land family vacation in mind) Wifi worked great, shower was warm, bed was meah. You could walk to Lego land and plenty of people do that, access road is safe even 20:00 you see kids and parents walking back from Lego land. They have a bar and restaurant which serves diner and breakfast buffet (dinner require advance reservation). Truthfully Billund is lacking solid restaurant and I ended up driving twenty minutes for my dinner, so reservation here might not e bad idea...

After 45 minutes I called to check, and they had misplaced my order. Another 25-30 minutes later, my burger arrived, lukewarm. Well, mistakes happen, so I gave the restaurant another chance, sitting in the restaurant. Ordered the burger. The gentleman next to me ordered the rib eye at the same time, and was out of the restaurant before I got my burger. A couple of guys ordered after me, considerably after, which was when I asked if they had forgotten mine. The waiter came back saying that it was on its way! I confronted him with the facts of the serving times around me, to which he gave me a puzzled look, saying that he could not explain why that was. I told him it was the second time they forgot my order, and without wanting to admit that it actually was the case (nor apologized) he told me that he would find a way to compensate me the wait. After bringing me the burger, approximately 45 minutes after I ordered, he offered me a cola!!! His compensation was a 33 cl cola! Mistakes happen, I know! However, things considered, I had expected them to handle things a little differently. Maybe actually apologizing AND admitting that they screwed up the order! Maybe a more considerable compensation taken into account they have done it 2 for 2!!! Maybe it's just me, but I simply can't give more than 1 out of 5, and they have run out of chances from me.

It's in a lovely small town in the countryside of Denmark, the drive was beautiful and it was some of the cleanest farms and buildings I have ever seen. Inside is charming and nice, we were the only ones eating around 5:45PM but it was more filled by the time we left. Overall the food was excellent as well as the staff who were kind and attentive and let me sample a dram of their local Gin. The one big thing for the kitchen to improve on is timing, the gap between starters and mains was awkwardly long and it was so long my wife got full and I had to force myself to eat her burger. Bread and Butter: Both were excellent and you could tell a lot of care went into making them as well as the simple but effective plating. Lumpfish Roe: Served on an interesting plate with the center elevated, the roe is stacked high like a traditional Danish open-face sandwich. Delicious and a very interesting and unique roe that is smaller and slightly more fishy. Pumpkin Soup: Creme Fraiche, green oil, pumpkin seeds, and bacon. Tasted great of a cold day. Poached white fish: garnished with dill and a cheese bases sauce, tasted very Scandinavian in a good way. Pepper Burger: This was massive and the fries were prepped differently than the kids dinner.
