First time here as we drove through this town and wife's AI search of vegan and gluten free led us here. Upon some studying of the menu wife and I ordered up a storm and the cashier helped us order accordingly to get all the foods we wanted at a lower price point than ordering individually! This man got our back! The food is nothing short of amazing. My chicken and waffle made with oyster mushroom was perfection! Batter was thick but soft. Crunchy yet juicy. Fried but not oily. This dish is a walking contradiction but they walked this fine line and blew this dish out the water! Best chicken and waffles hands down. The drumsticks were the classic with sweet and tangy BBQ sauce with paper thin skin and fibrous underneath. At the end, there's a sugar cane for bone to chew out the sweet "marrow". Highly recommend. My wife loves nachos and theirs were a big hit with impossible meat. I was unfortunate not to have been able to sample it. Jalapeño cornbread? Yes please! I believe it's gluten free and it's just a hint of spicy that builds as you eat more and more of it! H bomb burrito was tasty as well but I did not eat it fresh to do it justice. The dragon fruit lemonade was also refreshing and a fan favorite with the kids. On top of a fantastic meal, the owner and staff were just so welcoming. We chatted a bit and found out they opened on March 8th 2020!! Be survive the pandemic and speaks to how good the food is to have the staying power through thick and thin! I had the vegan ribs which was similar to a meatloaf and very tasty, as well as sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes both of which were absolutely delicious, and topped off with a tasty hunk of cornbread. My friend got the wings which had a sugarcane "bone" (everything here is vegan!) and were some of the best vegan wings I've ever had, with the only possible competition being the wings at Rochester NY's New Ethic Pizzeria. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! Also wanted to give a shoutout to the bumping soundtrack of Ashanti and other 90s/00s gems that was playing when we visited.

Frankly you won't need more because the food is damn good ... the deep soul vitalization will start to work on you and you'll just want to stay. Get to chatting with the friendly bar keep ... always a good sign ... that music is good and your food arrives one steak and one chicken sausage sandwich both covered in yummy toppings ... chips on the side ... we indulged in LOTS OF PICKLES and based on the recommendation both ordered the black bean "chowder." Sausages were both delicious... the black bean concoction was one of those thick oh so good experiences and the pickles were special (There were lots and we brought them home.). Definitely a place to return to ... that superb barkeep makes apparently every cocktail ever created ... but a nostalgic Buffalo feel ... wondering who sat here through the years. To their credit, they curtained off each table to make it seem fancy, added a red table cloth and gifted us a tulip. The set up ended up being very nice. Everything tasted pretty good. The only glaring issue was that most items that came out did not seem to be particularly hot. It was busy for the holiday so can't be too mad about. Bread and oil was standard. Meatball was great. i loved the risotta bites sauce - very peppery. Bisque was fine - the croutons were excellent, just needed it warmer. Chicken parm was large portion (this came out hot). Salmon and mashed were good, white wine sauce was very tasty. Again Just needed the fish to be a touch warmer. Pretty well done for a nice Valentine's day dinner.

A delicious meal that I got two meals out of because I took half of it home, as it's a pretty large portion. Originally, I was given the wrong order that I couldn't have due to dietary restrictions, but the waitress was very kind and gave me the correct one, as well as taking it off of my bill. I really appreciated that! We got macarons as dessert and they were super yummy as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Coco, and it will be in my rotation of "special occasion" local restaurants going forwards!

My steak frites plate had a very large serving of French fries and a bit more salad with a few pickled onions. I ordered my steak medium rare. About 1/2 of it was medium rare. The other 1/2 was well done. The seasoning was very nice, but disappointed to have well done steak. Our waitress was nicely attentive, as was her assistant who kept our water glasses filled. The restaurant was quite busy, getting busier as we enjoyed our dinners. I am glad we had an early reservation. I might have missed this note on the menu or website, but there is a credit card usage surcharge. Luckily some of our party had enough cash. The guitar music was lovely, but our table was too close and conversation was a little difficult.

I miss Cafe 59...and used to overlook the fact that potato wedges aren't included with the sandwiches, the falafel burger is always mushy in the middle, they don't include enough dressing with their salads...and things are sloppily prepared. I overlooked all of that because they use whole foods and the taste was decent. Fast forward to 2025, I've included a photo of a turkey burgundy sandwich with a small bag of Lay's (weird choice, but ok) and a pickle spear, which costs $17.25 before you even add tax or tip. What?? I totally get that costs are rising for everyone including restaurants, but this isn't in line with what you can get at other places, even on the same street. If you can't sell your original menu at reasonable prices anymore, then you need to adjust it. We won't be back.

While we had a 5pm reservation, in hindsight it probably wasn't necessary as we were seated right away and quickly greeted by our server, Allie G. To start, I ordered the Apple Cider Mule (mocktail) which was festive and delicious while my brother went for the Logan Mule (so Buffalo). Naturally, we wanted bread (what I thought was a given in an Italian restaurant). Sadly, it was $3 for warm bread, which felt a little rude, but of course I ordered it and devoured it, too! I also started with the mushroom bisque that was on special and it was fantastic as it was rich, flavorful, and the kind of soup you want to eat slowly so it lasts longer. For my entree I chose the Crespelle while my brother got his favorite, the Brasciole. The food was truly the highlight of the evening. Everything was prepared well and very, very satisfying. I would say that the service, unfortunately, left a bit to be desired. Not terrible, but not great. I hate having to ask another server to bring a box, the check, etc. because our server was no where to be found. There is free parking somewhere, though we only noticed the sign for it after we had already paid to park. That said, the atmosphere at Tappo is always lovely and the portions were generous for the price. Of course, I'd absolutely return - especially to try one of their fun igloos someday!

The steak, although pink, the crust was burnt and tasted like nothing other than burnt meat, just not good. The crispy gnocchi on the plate tasted like fast food mozzarella sticks. We also got the potato pave, the dill sauce on it was good but barely there, the bacon jam on it smelled and tasted terrible, which made the entire thing inedible for us. The cocktail was not good.
