Being an Asian in a Scandi town far north is not easy, especially when it comes to hair care…read more Everyone is probably an expert in flat & thin Scandi hair, but nobody knows what to do with bushy thick Asian hair. At least that's the kind of experience I have gotten the past 9 years I have been trying to find the perfect hairdresser here with the result that I strive to cut my hair only in my home country - once a year, that is. A yelper - (fellow Asian Signe S) recommended this place since the top stylist Naja Kim is also an Asian. Now now, I am not trying to discriminate or anything, but I absolutely need to have another Asian (or someone who has knowledge of how Asian hair works - instead of complaining about it - like a hairdresser I knew here in Copenhagen) to cut my hair. Already when I stepped into the bright hair salon in Vesterbro (just across my favourite pho place, what are the odds!) I already felt welcomed. The "bouncer" beagle named Easy was super charming and welcoming :P and the staff were so accommodating. You could choose which stylist is your preference when you book time online and I chose Naja Kim herself who was very thorough in her explanation of what she was going to do with my hair. It was also a surprise that she did everything (including hair washing) herself (in other places, even the so-called "organic" salon I know in Copenhagen, they only sprayed my hair to make it wet instead of actually washing it). She was very patient and accommodating and made sure that everything just like I wanted it. I recommend Naja Kim to all the lost Asians in Copenhagen who have constantly bad hair day thanks to Scandi stylists who have no clue how to cut Asian hair. Try her!

Not only that Trine did…read morean amazing job with the cut, she also suggested improvisation to the original idea that I had in mind, thus the final outcome was even better than I had expected. She's very observant and gave me a haircut that really suits my personality. My hair was styled using Kevin Murphy products. It's rather expensive, perhaps the most expensive haircut I've ever had, but you get what you pay for. All in all I'm very pleased and will not look further for another frisør if I'm need of a haircut in Copenhagen in the future.

i had my haircut here finally. getting a haircut in Denmark is so expensive and I've been trying to…read morewait to get one when I am back in Asia. Realizing my hair is in such bad damage, I decided to look for a place for haircut. The price of haircut for women cost 200 kr and 50 extra for hair wash. My hair was so tangled up but the hairdresser is patient enough to wash them and comb them. It was a quick cut, took less than 30 minutes for shampoo and the cut. I brought pictures to show him what I wanted, and I had 5cm cut off. I don't know how to define good haircut but I think I am satisfied with it. He is really nice, he told me he is from iraq and he was a refugee in here when Iraq was having their war. I see he has many customers, mostly male and Arab or Iraq. This place has wifi, so you can surf the net while you wait. Don't expect this is a place with fancy interior or coffee and massage. It is a place for major and fast haircut.

After a solid 2 days of Danish hair FOMO, I finally decided to join in on the action and get a proper Danish cut - only to find out that most places here charge upwards of 300 kroner for a cut! In comes Future Cut and their amazing crew. Both Hassan and Najah (the two stylists working the day I went in) were friendly, courteous, and very helpful in helping me get my hair to be the way I wanted it. Best of all, this place is very affordable, even for US standards. I spent around 180 kroner on a haircut and a beard trim. For anyone in Copenhagen who wants an affordable hair cut by friendly people, Future Cut is a fantastic place to get your hair cut!
