While I have had great success in losing weight using a Nutrisystem Plan, their Customer Service has gotten bad enough that I have cancelled using them - it is not worth the aggravation. Their deliverY has been horrible. And calling in to Customer Service takeS too long, they don't listen, and ask for too much perSonal info to cancel. During the three weeks I have been on the Nutrisystem diet I have lost 2 pounds. I would recommend you read the terms and conditions before you purchase the Nutrisystem diet. The buy one month get one free is only allowed for a certain membership. I requested a buy one get one free and I ended up not knowing I received a membership that charges almost $400.00 per month. The foods are carbohydrate based. The breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are carbohydrates so your daily intake of carbs is excessive. Nutrisystem states their diet is a medium carbohydrates diet. I just received my 2nd month of food and it is exactly the same as the first months food. I asked the representative if I could return all of the food and was told I could return only the food that is not refrigerated, and I am responsible for shipping charges. HORRIBLE customer service. i started Nutrisystem awhile ago and am on and off the program. Noe forever more I will be off the program due to a poorly run company wi5 really bad customer service. Often there is an issue with my order and I have to call to straighten it out. Today I was on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes before someone answered! Thats appalling and unacceptable. Worse yet, they substituted some items due to low inventory, but some of the items were ala darte items and they cost more than the product they substituted. They frequently have low inventory of several items and you can only still blame COVID only so much. The person I spoke with today, even though she acknowledged what they did was improper and my long hold time, she never apologized once. I canceled the program as I don't want to keep calling and spending 2 hours on the phone to correct their mistakes every time I get a delivery. Super mad at this company and fed up. Beware!!! You think you are singing up for a period of time and then find out that there is fine print that you are in an 'auto-renewal' program. They continue to ship you food until you cancel with a penalty. Customer Service was unhelpful and frankly a little rude when dealing with my complaint. I ordered the system. The program is great but the problem is that the food is horrible. The protein shakes and bars are okay but I threw away the entrees as they are not edible. I've been trying to cancel as I'm under the 14 say return guarantee. So far, I've only received confirmation if next months order. I'm still trying to receive confirmation of cancellation this month with return shipping label. I'm getting thr run around and have called twice andxsent an email for this to happen. My mom bought got me this plan cause she had seen me struggle with losing weight. I'm a very tiny woman, but I look overweight for my size, so losing a couple of pounds wouldn't hurt so I agree to do it in total I lost 7lbs in a month, there was really no point in continuing the program because I felt like I could continue it on my own. Talk about a SCAM when she called to cancel the custom service guy was very rude and condescending. No where in the term and conditions does it say that you have to do a minimal of 2 months so they were expecting us to pay triple the amount of what we paid the first time for the nasty food sorry I can't eat like that again so she told him that and he said well if you cancel now you will have to pay $125.00 so she did. I purchased a program for my wife last December and took advantage of holiday specials for 50% off. I signed up for the Uniquely Yours Program for Women for three months; the multiple months were required for the discount. At $12.86 a day for 28 days, its about $360 a month, or about $1100 for the 3 month period. With 50% off, it was about $545. I paid it, received the first shipment, and she began the program. The food itself was okay at best. The problem came with the second shipment...it didn't come. After being on the phone for an hour, they tried to convince me I only signed up for one month for $545. Long story short, out of the goodness of their hearts they sent me a 2nd shipment (plus delivery fee of course) but if I want the 3rd, I'll have to pay several hundred more. They set it on auto ship which means now I'll have to cancel it or pay extra. Needless to say, I won't. DON'T GET INTO THIS PROGRAM. IT MAY WORK FOR MARIE OSMAND, BUT MY WIFE IS STARVING. read more

The company is not forthcoming about the "free shipping", which actually means that you commit to two months of shipments. They say it is evident on the website but it is not. The company also states that it offers a money back guarantee. This also is not entirely true. I got sick from the food (severe diarrhea, cramping, nausea) six weeks in and it was clear to me that this was caused by the food. I have been eating normal food for the past week and a half and my stomach is finally calming down. Nutrisystem takes no responsibility for this and refuses to refund my money because I am "outside the 30 day window". They hide behind their "corporate policies" and do not care about people or that they are offering products that may be harmful to some people. Take a look at the internet and other websites. Nutri System is a big RIP OFF! I sent a review a few days ago and received an email which I am unable to open from TrustPilot! I joined in January/Feb. 2020, followed all guidelines, exercised daily, etc. and lost FOUR lbs.!!!!! I declined further shipments and was told I could be on hold and Nutri System would notify me prior to another shipment. Upon notification I declined the shipment but they sent me the frozen food anyway. I called immediately to decline and was assured no further shipments! Guess what, the frozen shipment came and they denied a return! Nutri Syst. charged me for TWO shipments in June on my credit card! This is November and still no refund! My plan is to contact the Better Business Bureau and supply them with all the emails and valid information that I DO NOT owe this money. I discarded the frozen crap and have been ripped off for $265.22! Now, I am unable to open the response from TrustPilot! I would suggest to go anywhere else besides with this group!!!!! read more

Food was ok, when you are hungry anything is better than nothing. The whole auto delivery is a scam, similar to Comcast and "discounted intro period". My main gripe is fishy cancel process. You can do everything online except cancel, you can only delay... then to cancel you go into a sales pitch. I ended up saying, no I just wanted to cancel and not answer any questions, the lady said I cannot cancel without answering the questions, then proceeded to hang up on me. It's like sure some of the food is moldy, and sure half the food is disgusting, but if I want to cancel why you got to fat shame me before I can cancel, this practice is just unacceptable. read more

I thought I would give this a try, but didn't realize that you have to sign up for 2 auto deliveries in order to receive the discount. Anyway I did 2 deliveries since it is required and did lose some weight, but the food is pretty terrible and this isn't a sustainable way to lose weight for me as I did not enjoy the food at all and would prefer just to count calories and eat food that I actually enjoy. You can't cancel online and have to call. The first guy I spoke too refused to cancel my order even though they had already withdrawn the amount from my credit card because he stated it was still in process. So I waited a few days and called again and this time the guy on the phone interrogated me about why I was canceling. He then pulls up my account and starts asking me all kinds of questions about how much weight I want to lose and how much weight I've lost and asking me why I'm canceling when I haven't reached my goals according to my profile. I had to continously tell him that I just wanted to cancel. Anyway, food isn't great but you will lose weight, but customer service is horrible. I wouldn't use them again for that reason. read more

Been using Nutrisystem for over a year now. The unprofessionalism of the representatives over the phone is repulsive. I had a woman who is screaming at me over the phone with complete disrespect. I went to go apply the 50% off promo for all the car items and as soon as I went to check out the promo disappeared as if they knew I was adding the promo. I am completely disappointed with this company with its unprofessionalism carelessness for their customers bait and switch tactics. What a disgrace. This company is going to go down the drain if they keep on this path the lack of integrity. If I can read this experience -5 stars I would. Whoever the owner is or the trainers or the supervisors all of you should be ashamed of yourselves for training your employees this way to treat customers. I have been in the customer service business for over 15 years and no way should a representative be disrespectful, rude and be screaming at a consumer over the phone. You all should own up for your mistakes, not only that You are using bait and switch tactics, I have now purchased gift cards for Nutrisystem that I don't know what to do with, because now my car item went from $550 to over $1100.
