Nutrisystem won't cancel "prepaid order". but no other way to order. They won't cancel future shipment and refund. They have terrible customer service--ie spent over an hour yesterday trying to contact Nutrisystem and no response from chat, nor phone, couldn't talk to an agent, was referred back to chat line to wait, email to them was returned "undeliverable". Today Nutrisystem doesn't recognize the AUGUSTSALE promo that was on home page of their website and on TV. When I ordered instead of the AUGUSTSALE price, they used a higher price and wouldn't correct the monthly price. I will not use again. Had I written this a few years ago I would have given them a three. I lost a lot of weight during Covid. It was very convenient to have food delivered monthly. No shopping and I could tolerate the items. I went back to them for the convenience and to lose a few pounds these past four months. They have removed some of the more tasty items like microwave soups and replaced them with powder packets to add to hot water. Awful. They have reduced the number of items in general, so not as many choices - forcing you to eat the same items over and over without changing them out once in awhile. My main problem was when I decided to discontinue the subscription they wouldn't do it. I had to stay on the phone for over a half hour demanding that they (Kadim) cancel my subscription. I was offered a discount on my next order. I was lectured on how it would result in weight gain. Unbelievable. I was on nutrisystem for over 2 years. I followed it like clockwork. It did next to nothing for me (lost 25lbs). The issue is, after seeking help from a real nutritionist, my metabolism is at 1200calories a day with my lifestyle, not 2000. My husband and I have been Nutrisystem customers since January 2020. Up until today, we have been very satisfied with the program. I received the frozen portion of my order today and when I opened it, it had been shipped without any dry ice. The entire order was ruined - completely thawed out and the ice cream items had turned to liquid. I called customer service and the order will be replaced at no charge. My issue is that it will take 1-10 days to get the new shipment. At this point, I am completely out of Nutrisystem food and now I am being inconvenienced due to their poor quality control in the shipping department. When something like this happens, it should be an expedited order and not be told it could take up to 10 days. Plus, I really do not care for the way customer service reps handle an irate customer. I tried for 6 weeks. I ordered 2 months worth of meals. One of the biggest mistakes of my life. If you look at my reviews on Yelp they are generally positive. This purchase was such a disappointment. Communicating with them is very difficult. The food tastes like cardboard and trying to cancel is complicated. I sent a cancellation today and at least have this review of proof of my cancellation. I will tell my credit card to not accept further charges. I am an open communicator. This company makes the mistake that people do not talk! This product is sub par. No one wants to eat like this! I ordered what they call the "diabetic" plan but none of the meals are low in carbs. None. It was a huge waste of money. The food tastes bland and have no flavor. The "pizza" is nothing but s tortilla with a packet of sauce and cheese. The tortilla tastes like cardboard. The soups have no taste and they never cook properly. Their response was I ordered something different, even though I called to assure order updated prior to placing order. Returned non-frozen items per their instructions. 4 weeks later I called to find out where my refund was & was told "return was received 3.5 weeks ago but not credited to your account". When I asked if I returned item correctly, according to their instructions, she assured me I had. It was a "simple oversight " in their system. Based on my experience in communicating at the 800 number, the dry goods warehouse, the frozen food warehouse, and the support line all function independently of each other even though the support person claimed they work as a team. Just kept getting the line that it takes 1-10 days to process. My frozen food came without any indication of when I would get my dry goods. So half of my order (frozen) got delivered and no indication of when my dry goods would be delivered. The person at the 800 number just kept repeating her line "1-10 days to process". No personal care or interest in what I was even saying. The Nutrisystem support line gets an F- They failed to support or even show any interest in getting a good answer and would not boot the call up the ladder. This is the second time I decided to try Nutrisystem to lose weight. And the second time I was disappointed. I received some frozen meals and a box full of bars for lunch, breakfast and snacks. Also, what look like MREs. The food is not very good. Lots of sugary breakfast items and snacks...trying to lose weight difficult with sweet tasting items. The majority of frozen dinners were pizzas or flatbreads, while lunches consisted of mainly wraps like breaded items filled with cheese and "meat". I canceled. nutrisystem makes it inconvenient for you to cancel; I gave it a try and sign for a plan $299 they said if you don't like it call and cancel. It was very difficult getting someone on the phone then they transfer you to a different department where they interrogate you before they allow you to cancel and after all that they do not put the cancel in so the following month you get charged again so I called back again and wait on hold for 15 minutes trying to get somebody to cancel because you press a different button if you want to cancel, and they just let you hang on hold for quite a long time then the lady says I see where you called but they didn't cancel the order so now here I am $900 in after three months and I don't even know if it's going to be canceled this time around. My advice is to try something else Nutrisystem is you're literally trying to prolong your plan and inconveniencing you from canceling show a $300 trial end up costing me $900 already and I don't know if that's the last of it, I have to wait and see next month. I had actually done Nutrisystem about 12 years ago and had a decent experience. How things have changed!! The food is so bad it is totally inedible. Actual food is so unlike the pictures on the package as to be laughable. The return policy neglects to tell you that they charge you for return shipping. I canceled my order and sent the food back but they take their time to process the return and refund the money. Hold times on the phone are very long (they say it's because people are so interested in their product--haha). And once you actually get to some one they are rude, condescending and totally unhelpful--every single one I talked to. Website is difficult to navigate, food is costly (and terrible), customer service sucks and overall experience is awful. DO NOT order from this company--you are better off with a supermarket diet using Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice etc for 1/3 the price and tastier food--which is exactly what I did. read more

I started with nice intentions , high spirits . I got so many conflicting instructions from the different nutritionists . I did not loose weight because my calorie count was low. They realized the mistake and how the Numi account was not linked to my Nutrisystem account. They fix the glitch after more than three weeks . My metabolism was slowed down and my energy level was very low.To speak to a nutritionist I had to be on hold for over one hour every time . It was a disaster ! I was so stressed out because my log ( food, water and physical activity) was perfect but there was no change on the scale. Very dissatisfied! When I was not losing weight one nutritionist wanted to drop the caloric intake while other wanted me to go on a break . I went on permanent break . This company has reached a new low. they send me a coupon in the mail for $259 per month and I hand selected what I wanted. They sent me a "Standard" order with food I didn't want and then charged me $297 per month!! okay, I know that errors occur, but their Customer Service is terrible!! After Liz at Corporate (or so she said) kept giving me the same line 5 times, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said there was no Supervisor. My Frozen food order came in hot. The order was delayed and the food came in 3 days past delivery date. There is no easy way to contact Nutrisystem if you have a problem with an order. I was on the diet for a month and had problems trying to get my next order to stay on the diet. I even went online and ordered a couple of days ahead of when needed, two days ahead of their automatic delivery order setup in the system. They just do not care about trying to keep you as a client once you order from them. Their delivery system does not work and THEY DON'T CARE! Honestly one of the best brands for muscle gain! I would not be the same person that I am today without Nutrisystem. I did not actually lose any weight. No honey I was a twig. but thanks to the Nutrisystem boxes, I gained plenty of muscle in the past few months! When I started working for FedEx I used to think that the packages were way too heavy. Billing was in error from very first contact with customer service. i wanted to cancel 10 minutes after I signed up but you have to call in during the day but there isn't an option to speak with a real person or to deal with problems. I really wish I could give this SCAM negative stars for the rating. The food is horrible and I did not expect much in that respect! It was too sodium heavy and extremely INCONSISTENT. For example, the meatball wraps sometimes had only 2 meatballs, sometimes they had 11 meatballs. How can you say the product has XX Calories and XX Protein when the ingredients are so inconsistent. And the actual size of the cookies got smaller and smaller as well. Those are only a couple of examples of the inconsistencies. Then there is the terrible, no HORRIBLE customer service people on the phone. I called to push out a delivery 7 days in advance because I was going to be out of town. During the course of the call, I was hung up on twice. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they would not let me. I used this program for a short period of time many years ago and it worked for me. I lost 20 pounds at that time. I started the program three days ago since I need to lose 20 pounds again. Like some others mentioned, the breakfast offers mostly candy bars, it is not food as far as I am concerned. This morning I had Turkey Sausage & Egg Muffin then my stomach felt so bloated and uncomfortable. If you look at the ingredients on each box, there are usually 30-40 items. I paid for two months food already so I called them and asked to cancel order for the next month. There is "one" phone number, I held for 20+ minutes before I talked to a Customer Service person. The lady was pretty pleasant and agreed to refund me one month payment since I paid two months' food already. It will take 7-10 days before I see my money. For their food, I would give them one star since they are willing to work with me so I give them one more star. Their concept may be good but need a lot of improvement on providing healthier food. When my husband and I decided to try Nutrisystem, I first did a lot of research. So I fully expected that the food would just taste ok (I mean, you are trying to lose weight - it's not going to taste like a REAL steak & cheese, for example). And I fully expected that when I was ready to quit, it would be a huge hassle. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Okay, the first week of food - where nutrisystem picks everything you eat, THAT was tough. But by week 2 I was at least eating things I had chosen from their website options. By month 2 or 3, I was only ordering things I knew tasted okay to good. And now 6 months later, I've lost the weight I wanted to lose, I know how to eat smaller portions, I've incorporated my own healthy choices to supplement the nutrisystem stuff, I've learned I can have treats/cheese/nuts as long as it's in moderation, and I feel like I've got this under control. So I decided to quit my monthly plan with Nutrisystem, and just order some items ala carte thru my husband's account. I called first thing on a Monday morning to cancel, fully expecting to wait an hour or two to talk to someone and then argue with why I should be "allowed" to cancel. Instead, the entire phone call was done in 6 minutes, and Mark (the customer service guy) was lovely. The frozen lunches & dinners are okay. I really love some of their snacks and breakfasts. Do not for any reason do business with this company if you cannot connect with a human voice for an extended period of time. I have been using Nutrisystem for quite some time, and have never had a problem until recently. Orders usually ship as separate frozen and non frozen orders. In February, my frozen order contained 44 items and was short by 21 items. That's right, only 23 of 44 items received. These were replaced a couple of weeks later in a separate shipment. My next frozen order was short by 3 items. Nutrisystem offered to replace them and include them in my next order and I agreed. That order was received today and did not have this 3 items and was missing an additional item. I now wonder how many prior orders were short as I never counted until the shortage of almost half an order. This is 3 frozen orders in a row that were wrong. 4 if you count the one that didn't ship!This is infinitely frustrating to have to chase these orders down and expect to stick to a meal plan that is constantly short of meals. There are four things that upset me about Nutrisystem and their ads. 1. The advertisement showing the food and not telling people they have to add the vegetables and fruit. The current ad that shows Marie Osmond and one person that lost 118 pounds and another person that lost 55 pounds. Marie comments on the man that lost 55 pounds saying he lost more than she did.
