We wanted to find a place that was not too big. We wanted to find a place that we felt welcomed, and that people recognized and remebered that we were there the week before. We wanted to find a place that was focused on our community which had opportunities to serve the people in it. We wanted to find a church where the Pastor preached biblically sound lessons that we could apply to our daily lives, we wanted to hear messages that made sense, messages that made us think, messages that were not sugar coated, and most importantly to us, we wanted the Pastor to teach the whole Bible, and not skip over things because it might make us feel uncomfortable, because the truth sometimes is uncomfortable even when it is the truth. My Wife and I have found all that and so much more at Hope Community Church in Dover N.H. We have been going here for a little over a year, and we are honored to call it home. They start blasting music and turning up the bass before 7am on Sunday. I went to NLC one night and the first thing I asked was "What is the Church's stance on Same Sex Relationships? because I want/need to know before investing my Energy, Time & Money in the Church." I was told by the Location Pastor at the time that, "The Church really has no stance on it, ALL are Welcome, Gay, Straight, Drug Addict, Alcoholic it does not matter as GOD Loves all his children and nobody on earth is perfect or has the right to judge another person only GOD can do that." After attending for a couple months we both got very involved in Guest Services at NLC and from day one have felt the Love and Caring from everyone that we meet at the Church and like we are WANTED not just another face in the crowd. If anyone is searching for a place to go, just know that this Christian "Family" will make you feel LOVED & WANTED.
